This incident is one of two similar attacks on free speech by Columbia students that The Sixth Sense has discovered after "five minutes" of research.
I'll bet the student Gestapo at Columbia has stifled legitimate debate more often than that. Of course, a free propaganda platform is just fine for worldclass terrorist assmonkey Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as far as Columbia is concerned.

I'm not sure what I find more disturbing about this video - the fact that anyone could care so deeply about a no-talent, washed-up celebrity.. or the fact that this person's sex remains a total mystery to me.

Seriously. Its old. Your music was the only halfway-decent thing, and you even took that too seriously.
Your music videos and movies were stupid, drugs too influential over your warped minds, icons boring and contrarian, fashions atrocious, hair unwashed, hygiene non-existent, 'revolution' tiresome, common-sense lacking, politics left-to-far-left, legacy and progeny tearing the country apart (again), patriotism non-existent and self-aggrandizement plentiful.
Go away. The 1940's were more important than the 1960's in the confluence of world events, and your parents (the Greatest Generation) had enough sense and class to retire gracefully. Your incessant need to be "in charge" of everything and your continued meddling in the lives of American's is neither required nor desired. Stop trying to rewrite your sad legacy- that's so Clintonesque. Your deeds speak for themselves.
Take a bow, and exit stage left.

Via David Thompon: Some of you may have seen Vanessa Engle’s witty BBC 4 documentary series, Lefties, screened in February last year. The 3-part series revisited the “alternative politics†of the 70s and 80s, when the far left was an all-too-serious force in British political life. Among the gems to savour are the endless factional disputes over exactly how capitalism should be toppledAnthropology can be fun.

In a majority opinion written by Judge Rosemary Pooler, the appeals court said all speech covered by the FCC's indecency policy is fully protected by the First Amendment. Those of us in Upstate New York remember Rosemary Pooler as a stupid f-cking c-nt whose fat a-- the NYC Dems tried to get elected for years before putting the incompetent, retarded f-cking tw-t on the Federal bench. But we were wrong, because now Rosemary has helped give us the right to shout F-CK YOU! to each and every toddler who displeases us. And if you think this will somehow coarsen the culture - F-CK YOU, TOO you f-ckin' bourgie trash a--hole!

Wonder what generation could have ever given them the idea that such behavior was acceptable and "rebellious."
The quotes are hilarious:
(Arthur) Evans, 64, says (the punks) should get help, clean up or go home...Instant karma's gonna get you!"I used to be a hippie. I wore beads and grew my hair long," he said. "But my generation had something these kids do not: a standard of civilized behavior...."
"I'm sick of stepping over gangs of kids, only to be told 'Die, yuppie!' A lot of us were flower children, but we grew up," said Robert Shadoian, 58, a retired family therapist. "There are responsibilities in this world you have to meet. You can't be drugged out 24/7 and expect the world to take care of you."
(Carolyn) Mckenna said she was tired of being criticized for the "crime" of owning a home. "Haight-Ashbury is not synonymous with anarchy," she said. "It's not fair to homeowners with their entire net worth tied up here. I'd be disingenuous if I said I wasn't worried about property values."

Commencement addresses at the nation's top colleges and universities this year mostly were given by left-leaning or Democratic speakers with few conservatives snagging the honor, according to a report released yesterday by the Young America's Foundation.Which answers the age-old question: Why can't Johnny think? The conservative group conducts the review each year using the U.S. News & World Report ranking of top schools. This year, it found left-leaning speakers outnumbered conservatives by a ratio of 8-to-1.

From MSNBC:
WASHINGTON - One in four younger U.S. Muslims say suicide bombings to defend their religion are acceptable at least in some circumstances, though most Muslim Americans overwhelmingly reject the tactic and are critical of Islamic extremism and al-Qaida, a poll says. Are there a hundred Muslim teens in your kids high school? Statistically, 25 of them see no problem with blowing you to kingdom come, if they think you're dissing their religion.
No doubt, CAIR and co-conspirators will shriek that this is a result of the isolation felt by Muslims in American society. They're wrong. This is a failure of Muslim American culture, reflective of the greater failure of worldwide Muslim culture that nurtures terrorism and led directly to 9/11.
This should be a wake-up call for Muslim moderates. It should not, though it will, be used as an opportunity to whine about how Muslims are perceived.

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Rev. Jerry Falwell — founder of the Moral Majority and the face of the religious right in the 1980s — died Tuesday after being found unconscious in his office, a Liberty University executive said.Ron Godwin, Liberty's executive vice president, said Falwell, 73, had been found unresponsive around 10:45 a.m. and was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital.
Godwin said he was not sure what caused the collapse, but noted that Falwell had “a history of heart challenges.â€

Apparently, one of their constituents at Kos was hanging around with members of the Al-Aqsa Martyr's Brigade in Nablus. She brought back a steaming mountain of Islamic terrorist propaganda to increase our "understanding" of these suicidal-homicidal-throat-slitting-child-killing psychos.
Any Democrat politician who posts on this site should resign. Daily Kos, once simply a singularity of leftwingnut painthuffing, has diarists who are actively propagandizing and shilling for self-identifying Islamic terrorists.

The words 'Ismail Ax' were written on the killer's arm and Ismail is the Arabic form of 'Ishmael', who Muslims consider the progenitor of the Arab race. Definitely a reference to the Muslim prophet and patriarch "Ishmael", but it seems quite a stretch to me to then say Cho was a Muslim.
I think the former explanation is better. But what gives the terror apologists over at CAIR the right to speak for Muslims and to claim they are a 'civil liberties group'? CAIR:
"We offer the American Muslim community's sincere and heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of all those who were killed or injured in yesterday's tragic events on the campus of Virginia Tech. It is at such times of tragedy and loss that Americans must come together to offer support to those who suffered such heartbreaking losses as a result of this senseless crime."Remember, to CAIR terrorism is bad. Unless the victims are Jews, in which case its not terrorism but 'legitimate resistance'.
...CAIR, America's largest Islamic civil liberties group, has 32 offices and chapters nationwide and in Canada. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.

Feiz Mohammed
For this announcement to come on a day devoted to Holocaust remembrance is a slap in the face to Australia's Jewish community.
Feiz Mohammed is currently exiled in Lebanon, yet his virulent, hate-filled philosophy continues to reach across oceans and continents.
From news.com.au:
A PRO-TERROR hate film that urges children to martyr themselves in Islam's war on the West and calls Jews "pigs" has been rated PG by Australia's censors.more...
Sheik Feiz Mohammed's DVD box set, which also calls for the murder of non-believers, was initially seized by Federal anti-terror police.
But the Office of Film and Literature Classification has ruled that The Death Series is suitable to be bought and watched by children.

PBS executives fear of radical Muslim reaction to the film has led them to some bizarre behavior, even by PBS standards, including demanding the firing of consultants to the project because of their political views, and pre-screening parts of the film to...radical Muslims. The radicals threatened to sue.
While the producer has now gone public with allegations of bias at PBS, PBS execs are busily trying to polish this turd: more...

The Left has used America's hatred [of] racism to promote racism by insisting that culture and race cannot be separated. By insisting that the value placed on the culture is the value placed on the race the Left has used America's own goodness to force any discussion of culture in to the back alleys. We should consider each race of equal value as we should consider each person of equal value before God. We should not consider each culture of equal value as we should not consider the personality of a saint equal to that of a criminal. As some of us have personalities which need improving in some areas, so do some cultures. To deny this is inevitably to deny the existence of free will. The essay calls for more dialogue on culture and culturalism, and I couldn't agree more. I'm an unabashed culturalist, and I believe all westerners should be just as unabashed as I am. We live in an age when "western" defines your philosophy more than your geography. I venture that there are likely more "westerners" today in Warsaw or Taipei than there are in London. I believe too many of our fellow citizens have fallen prey to unfounded guilt and leftist nihilism and abandoned their pride in the nobler aspects of western culture. To admit that westerners have often acted regrettably is not to deny that western culture is worth fighting for. I firmly believe that unless and until the West regains confidence in its own basic cultural precepts, the West will fade into obscurity, to be eclipsed by a stronger and more confident philosophy.

The latest involves the Quebec government giving a Muslim woman who wants to be a prison guard a choice: She could either remove her hijab or she could train to be a prison guard. But she could not do both. The woman chose the hjiab.Nor was this a rare or isolated incident: more...Predictably, Muslim advocacy groups have been crying racism. “It is an ultimatum, remove the hijab or you’re out of here,†said the head of the Muslim Council of Britain. “That’s not a security issue, this is much more a bigoted issue.â€
The government stuck to its guns.
“As a security measure, the hijab cannot be accepted as an element of the uniform to execute the functions of a correctional officer,†a department spokesman said.

London - Muslim Protester & Holocaust Denier
In yet another blatant act of cultural cowardice, teachers in the UK are refusing to teach students critical points of history, for fear of offending tender Muslim sensibilities, or forcing them to examine the teachings of their Imams more closely.
From The Daily Mail:
Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, a Government backed study has revealed.more...
It found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.
There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades - where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem - because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques.
The findings have prompted claims that some schools are using history 'as a vehicle for promoting political correctness'.
The study, funded by the Department for Education and Skills, looked into 'emotive and controversial' history teaching in primary and secondary schools.
It found some teachers are dropping courses covering the Holocaust at the earliest opportunity over fears Muslim pupils might express anti-Semitic and anti-Israel reactions in class.

In another sign of just how isolated from society the "art world" has become, promoters of a life size crucified Jesus made of milk chocolate are surprised that unveiling the work during Easter Week has caused controversy.
From NBC5.com:
NEW YORK -- The Easter season unveiling of a milk chocolate sculpture of Jesus Christ, dubbed "My Sweet Lord" by its creator, left a sour taste Thursday in the mouths of a Catholic group infuriated by the anatomically correct confection. The gallery's creative director, mincing metrosexual milquetoast Matt Semler, described calls for a boycott as "a Catholic fatwa.""This is one of the worst assaults on Christian sensibilities ever," said Bill Donohue, head of the watchdog Catholic League. "It's not just the ugliness of the portrayal, but the timing -- to choose Holy Week is astounding."
Oh come on. Have your artist come up with a statue of Mohammed having sex with child bride Aisha, made of pork suet, and we'll talk "fatwa," you pussy.

That's why a liberal will be willing and able to find just about any reason to compare Bush to Hitler or Bin Laden (or whoever), but has a hard time thinking of reasons and using that wild imagination of his/hers to think about how a driven and financed terrorist cell could smuggle and detonate a dirty bomb (or even just a fertilizer bomb) into some part of a major city and kill thousands of lefty like-minded thinkers just like him.
Plus, they hate the military and the Troops. Votes and blood money don't lie.
