Gays Checking Out Kos's Junk, "Anti-Gay" Article Mysteriously Disappears

Kos-army.jpgHere is a letter in which Markos Moulitsas Zúniga, aka "Kos", defends the pre-Clinton policy of not allowing gays in the military. You'll notice the date on the article he wrote in The Northern Star, the student newspaper of Northern Illinois University where he was an editor, is January 25th 1993-- just three days after President Clinton was inaugurated and right in the middle of the gays in the military controversy.

I wonder how John Aravosis, the editor of the America Blog, feels about Kos? He's the same guy who called Clinton's policy on gays in the military, "anti-gay". So, if Clinton's policy is anti-gay wouldn't the preceding policy be even more anti-gay? You might even call it gobsmackingly homophobic and the product of the American Taliban!

This is the same Kos who thought it was ok to help Aravosis out Jeff Gannon because:

"He has been extremely anti-gay in his writings. He's been a shill for the Christian right. So there's a certain level of hypocrisy there that I thought was fair game and needed to be called out."
Hypocrisy, thy name is Kos!

What's even better? Markos pulls the "I served in the military but you [Bill Clinton] didn't" card. A message he would come to perfect as cover for his vile criticisms of the military because, you know, he's been in the shit and has therefore earned the right to call our men and women baby killers!

Thanks to the Jammie Wearing Fools who have more details as does The Truth About Kos.

Screenshot below of Northern Star article which mysteriously disappeared.

UPDATE: Ron at Jamie Wearing Fools, who sent the pic, tells me the image was actually taken by Orlando at Fort Hard Knox. more...

Kos: Tillman Murdered for Chomsky Admiration, Antiwar Views

pat-tillman.jpgIt's about time someone finally connected Noam Chomsky to Pat Tillman's death. Another Kos diarist goes off the deep end. This time with help from the AP which leads yet another story about the tragic death of Pat Tillman with this:

Army medical examiners were suspicious about the close proximity of the three bullet holes in Pat Tillman's forehead and tried without success to get authorities to investigate whether the former NFL player's death amounted to a crime, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press.
By which, the Kosbats infer that Tillman was murdered. They don't believe part of that same AP article which says that eventually an investigation was done, including the murder angle, and that friendly fire was determined to be the cause. Nope, the official investigation is just propaganda. Manufactured consent.

Kosbat diarist kestrel9000 posts a number of news stories and quotes, carefully edited, to make it seem that Tillman was murdered because of his alleged anti-Iraq war views and because of a potential meeting with Noam Chomsky. Quoting another odd Leftist conspiracy theory website, the Kosbat sums up the "evidence" for the Chomsky-Tillman death squad theory:

We have confirmed that Tillman had arranged to meet with a leading anti-war intellectual, Noam Chomsky, upon his return stateside. One can imagine the panic in the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the vision of the much trumpeted poster-boy hero of the War on Terror returning home and speaking out against the evil charade of the War.

That aspect, combined with the nature of the wounds, the destruction of evidence, the first-level coverup, and the dream promotion of the commander in charge... well, you see where this is going.

Ha, Bush or Cheney ordered the "hit" on Pat Tillman! I knew it.

You'll notice, here, the brief glimpse of honesty from the anti-war Left. Chomsky is not an anti-Iraq war advocate. He's an "anti-war" advocate. Yes, Chomsky and the hardcore Left opposed "the good war" too. You know, the one Tillman was fighting in Afghanistan.

Anyway, as long as we're coming up with conspiracy theories involving Chomsky, why not just assume Chomsky ordered Tillman's death because of his involvement in what Chomsky believed was an immoral and illegal war in Afghanistan? Howard Zinn was the gunman, I'm sure.

Is the post causing the others in the Kos community to shout down the author? Nope. I haven't read all the comments, but there are 357 as of this writing. None of the first 20 are even slightly critical of the lunacy, and of the last 20 comments only two try to argue that Tillman wasn't murdered or that the sources should be double checked.

The nutroots, naked, revealed!

UPDATE: Firedoglake's Tillman Trutherism

In other words, Pat Tillman was most likely murdered in the field. In cold blood. By other US soldiers.
Methinks some people watch too many movies. And a bonus, Tillman Trutherism hits Google News: Did Bush Admin Order Tillman Murdered to Silence Him?

UPDATE II: Wesley Clark, a Tillman Truther?

He essentially says that if Tillman was killed deliberately the orders “came from the top” and manages to invoke the idea of a Rovian plot along the way.
Wow. Just, wow.....

UPDATE III: Ah, the Tillman Trutherism rolls on in, of all places, Rolling Stone. Which stops short of calling it a hit ordered by President Bush, but which wonders if Tillman was fragged....for of all things, telling another soldier to shut up and stop sniveling. Yeah, that's unusual in the military. The kind of jive that gets you fragged...

It's the Oliver Stoning of American views of the military.

A little Instapundit post like this one can cause such a reaction from my little blog bitch Oliver Willis and Kevin Drum at Washington Monthly......is......there must be some truth to it. Stuff just doesn't get that kind of reaction unless you feel guilty about err something, like say maybe selling out your country for political gain?

Anti-American Hacker/Spammer Attacks Jawa

Howieparanoid.jpgYou may have noticed problems accessing The Jawa Report and Jawa comments. We have been under a sustained heavy spam/DDOS since Friday.

I posted an email a terrorist thread earlier in the week. What prompted the post was a new Islamic spam email promoting and English translation of a Spiegel interview with al-Qaeda that has a French Yahoo email but originated from Germany.

So the next time I received the spam I struck up a discussion with the spammer/terrorist propagandist. Turns out he's quite a prolific spammer, hacker, and bot-net propagator.

Just after our “discussion” the spam volume at TJR overwhelmed our comment system and had us completely offline on Saturday Morning. Coincidence? I think not. I’m sure since comments have been offline there are quite a few of you with pent up feelings you would like to get off your chest. I feel it is appropriate that we express our gratitude for this attack on The Jawa Report.

cipdtf@yahoo.fr
This email is live I promise because he replied to me several times but stopped just before our site was attacked. I also can’t shake the suspicion that cipdtf is our resident Spam Bastard who has been spamming Jawa comments for some time. more...

Does Joe Klein Have A Deathwish?

Another salvo from a sane lefty will likely met (given past instances of this perceived apostacy) with sneering, cursing, pot-banging, hatred, deathwishes, calls for purges, whining, intolerance, etc.

Hence, Klein's point will be proved instantly.

The nutosphere is a wild and wooly cage of rabid cheeba monkeys, and Klein is rapping it with a large stick. Bravo, sir.

Daveed Gartenstein-Ross to embed in Iraq

Daveed Gartenstein-Ross, for those who do not know, is a former convert to Islam who now works with the FBI and other agencies to combat terrorism.
He is a senior fellow at The Foundation for Defense of Democracies, the author of a book entitled 'My Year Inside Radical Islam', and he is a regular contributor to The Counterterrorism Blog.

Gartenstein-Ross will be traveling to Iraq as an embedded journalist, and he is asking for donations to The Counterterroism Blog to help support the costs of the embed.
As the CT blog is one of the most useful online resources I have found, and I am a daily reader, I am re-posting his request here in an effort to increase it's exposure:

"With the debate over setting a timetable for withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq reaching a fever pitch, this is a critical time for Americans to have reliable information on the country. There are also a number of important developments inside Iraq, such as the rise of the Anbar Salvation Front (which I blogged about here), the development of the related council of ulema and Iraq Awakening party, current U.S. military operations in Ramadi, the training and infiltration of the Iraqi police, and a seemingly deteriorating security situation in the Green Zone.

I will be traveling to Iraq this month to do embedded reporting, and to cover these and other relevant stories. If you're interested in helping to support the embed, donations can be made payable to the Counterterrorism Foundation or directly through the CTF PayPal link below:"

Online Campaigning Tips : What Not to Do

Tip #1 : If you're working to build support for your Republican candidate online, it's probably a good idea not to send a message like this to the editors at Pajamas Media:

Hello-

I’m the operator of the website that has sent all the Ron Paul voters to your page.

We are an ARMY of over 10,000 Ron Paul supporters that are promoting Dr Paul online.

We have NOT cheated your “poll”, we’re just voting like everyone else, unless it’s cheating to be an organized group of supporters.

Your slander of us and disrespect for Dr Paul will NOT be tolerated any longer, I’ll give you until tomorrow at 5pm to PROVE or REMOVE the “cheating” comments or a massive viral online campaign to discredit your site will begin.

Jody Wallace
Contactor: Jody Wallace ( JodyWallace26@yahoo.com ) www.myspace.com/congressmanronpaul

Cute. I don't see this ending well for Mr. Wallace...

Army Regulation 530-1 - The War on Military Blogs

As of April 19, 2007, the US Army has imposed new, strict limitations on soldier's blogs and e-mail.
All members of the Army must now get prior approval from a supervisor, and this regulation also includes soldier's family members as well as civilian contractors.

According to Danger Room:

The 2005 regulation, created from minor revisions made to the 1995 regulation, made brief additions to the regulation, specifically to address new technology such as e-mail, Web sites, and blogs, but carried over most of the regulations from 1995. The 2007 regulation is a major revision and provides significant updates in the areas of responsibilities, policy and procedures, and training requirements. It updates and clarifies individual as well as unit/organizational responsibilities. It emphasizes that in addition to Soldiers, Department of the Army Civilians, contractors, and U.S. Army Families must be included in practicing operational security. The 2007 regulation also provides updated guidance how to establish OPSEC programs for units and organizations as well as updated training requirements.

JL Kirk Associates Accuses Blogger of Libel

The quickest way to make sure that an unfavorable account of your business practices is spread as far and as wide as possible? Send a cease and desist letter.

Blogger Kathrine Coble posted an account of her and her husband’s dealings with headhunting firm JL Kirk Associates. I read her article and it seems pretty open, honest and up front to me.

Kirk and Associates will get you a job just drop the 4 G’s in advance. In my opinion that’s lower than a snake’s belly. If they are so good then they should find you the job and then request a reasonable payment. If the job is good people will not complain about the cost of the service. Besides, if you have four grand to drop on a less than sure thing, you probably don't need the job. See how this works?

But apparently JL Kirk Associates wants Mrs. Coble’s story to be #1 on Google and Google news too. So, they sent a letter demanding that Katherine take down her less than flattering post. They wound up Kirking themselves.

Hat Tip: Instapundit.

Others Blogging the Kirk & Associates story include Blue Crab Boulevard , Captain's Quarters and Bill Hobbs.

Digg Moonbats Burying Jawa?

I've been kind of out of town for the last week or so---at least, I've been out of the blogosphere loop---so I was a bit surprised to learn from Charles Johnson that the tinfoil wearers over at Digg are busy trying to list The Jawa Report as "spam". But since we're in the company of LGF, Michelle Malkin, Robert Spencer, and Captain Ed ---I'll wear this as a badge of honor.

(Good Lt): I put the kite flying post up at Digg. Lets see if anyone notices.

UPDATE: "Diggbats"? I like it.

UPDATEII: A screenshot just can't capture how bad the Digg que really is when you only show stories marked "buried" ("lame", "innacurate", or "spam"). Nearly all of them have something to do with Islam.

**Jawa Exclusive: Interview With Blogslayer Heaven Nose **

-BUMPED-

OK, Heaven Nose vs. Trainwrecks and fellow blogwar fans...time to indulge. We're inside of blogwars.

I posted an extensive background post on the blogwar to end all blogwars here. That's the primer.

HN2.jpg

The proprietors of Heaven Nose allowed us to get an inside glimpse into the anti-Trainwrecks movement. Being one of the most insane blog wars in recent memory, I thought this interview would add a little to the netlore.

The following interview comes from emails between myself and the blogger(s) who destroyed Trainwrecks. There is much more at Heaven Nose itself. Have at it in the comments.

Blogwars : Heaven Nose Kills Trainwrecks

The Jawa Report has its rivalries and fights with other blogs now and then. It goes on, and it's generally not a big deal. The Trainwrecks vs. Heaven Nose blog fight, on the other hand, has taken it to another level entirely. This is the first time I'm aware of that one blog actually killed off another blog--or at least forced another blog to commit suicide. The victors had this to say:

So the question remains: Why? It's simple. We got rid of Trainwrecks just because we could. Not bad for two clowns whose mother tongue isn't English, eh? Let's see you take down a blog in Italian or Greek.
Here's a little more background:
Once upon a time there was a blog, called Trainwrecks.net managed by Beth Campbell aka xeney. This site wrote about—train wrecks--human train wrecks. Any story you could imagine as long as it was a train wreck.

Some of Trainwreck's readers, or perhaps I should say victims, came over to this blog and weren't too happy about what Trainwrecks wrote about. Warfare between Trainwrecks and many other blogs ensued. People were taking this quite seriously. They thought the Trainwrecks people were cold and stone-hearted.

And then, suddenly, this weekend, Trainwrecks.net is no more.

So, the primary effect of all this was a sizable wave of publicity and traffic for both the Heaven Nose blog and the Trainwrecks blog. Was this a mere unintended consequence of a pissing match?

Leftosphere Attempts Debunking, Fails Heroically

Crooks and Liars, TPM Muckraker and The Carpetbagger Report all tried to "debunk" the photo of a lonely John Kerry sitting with those he indicated are drooling high-school dropouts in Iraq this past holiday.

They screamed indignation at "the right"! The threw around accusations of fauxtography! Those rightwing theocons are at it again! Kerry derangement syndrome! We got 'em this time!

And the verdict? Sadly, No!

The pics were indeed real, and Kerry did indeed look like the buffoonish caricature of himself that he in fact is.

Maybe these leftosphere bloggers can tell the MSM watchdogs in the rightosphere what crow tastes like. Is it sweet or bitter?

Read Malkin, Gateway Pundit and Powerline to get the background and a hearty laugh. Have some punch. Indulge in schedenfreude. Drop Ben a line as well.

These guys want so desperately to do to the rightosphere what we do semi-regularly to the MSM, and they end up looking like Joe Wilson when they attempt it - dishonest, loud, wrong, inaccurate, slightly tweaked and desperate.

Especially when they don't retract or correct their initial assertions and accusations.

Rantings of The Bad Gay Beast

You know sometimes Howie rants a bit. Once in a while I worry about that. You know, crazy ass Howie is ranting again. But since I visited Rosie’s blog, all of that just melted away. Well first of all she has a new poem up. I don't think Garrison will feature it on Writer's Almanac. She of course has to keep on going after The Donald because it get’s her attention

a young girl in nyc
meets a pimp
he cons her into a life of illusion
she works for him
no fun - no f**king - no future
she is owned
when she sneaks out -
to party the night away
he freaks
he roughs her up a bit
shames her in front of the others
teaches her to behave
for his own benefit
And I thought I was nuts? Whew!!!

Not content to just go after the Donald she then takes a swipe at all the poor people. You know, because she is “so deserving” and if you are poor you must “deserve” it.

You talk real loud
But you ain’t saying nothing cool
I can fit your whole house in my swimming pool, ha ha ha.
[begin sarcasm]Ha, ha, very funny. He, he, it is to laugh.[end sarcasm]

Rosie, if your brains were cotton, you wouldn't have enough for a piss ant's Kotex.

Of course Rosie has her comments disabled. God forbid her blog have to suffer actual unfiltered opinions. That’s why real blogs like The Jawa are here. Comment away! Who knows, if she takes a month to figure out that site meter thingy she might even read em.

Verizon Rips Poliblog's Name

Steven Taylor has tried contacting verizon and asked for support. Several of his readers have gone over the the Fake Poliblog to show support. Verizon deleted the comments. I did not link the fake one for obvious reasons. Have they (Verizon) no shame?

Dr. Steven Taylor via The Real Poliblog:Well, it would appear that Verizon has decided that all I get from them is one letter from an attorney and then silence.

As such, I think that I would appreciate it if you all would visit Verizon - PoliBlog and leave some polite comments and/or send e-mails as to why their blog designers couldn’t use Google to recognize that the name was taken. (And please, be polite).

Also, any links to this post would be appreciated.

It seems odd to me that Verizon wishes to get on all the bloggy goodness, but doesn’t want to be good neighbor in the Blogosphere.

Come on Verizon, think about it. You'll never get linky love this way. Spend a day or two and think of a name.

DDOS Against Blue Crab Boulevard

Blue Crab Boulevard has been under a sustained DDOS/Spam attack for over a week.

Things have been a little bit less than normal around the Crabitat for several days. Longtime readers will realize that. New visitors will not. By way of explaining what is happening here, this website has been under a pretty hefty attack since about the time voting started for the Weblog Awards. I have absolutely no idea if the timing is coincidental or not. But Blue Crab Boulevard has been knocked offline repeatedly by waves of spam attacks that are defeating every WordPress Plugin. The only reason this site is still on line is by sheer luck and a tech who saved it.
I feel for them. We have been under a sustaiuned spam attack for about a year. We endure regular DDOS attcks. Hang in there. You get kind of used to it after a while. It makes me all that much more determined to blog. But then Howie doesn't have to pay for all the wasted bandwidth.

Celebrating the end of Eid: A message to idiots

A personal note to naysayers. I just got back from a friend's house. My friend is Muslim. We celebrated the end of Eid--the holiday that comes at the end of Ramadan. We should have celebrated yesterday, but couldn't. In any event, good food was shared by good friends. Spicy good food, I might add, lots of curry. My friend is from Southeast Asia. Is there anything that tastes bad with enough curry on it?

Anyway, just thought I'd remind small minded assholes who belileve that any opposition to Islam must come from some sort of phobia of Muslims. It doesn't. I no more fear Muslims than I feared Communists. I no more hate Muslims than I hated Communists. I fear and hate neither. Yet I still oppose both Islam and Communism.

So to the idiots who call me a bigot, screw you and the horse you rode in on.

PS--if you want to see a real bigot, read some of the comments. That's what a bigot looks like.

Bombs Away

This via email this AM from rightwing news.

Hello

As you may or may not know, Chris Bowers from MyDD is organizing a massive Googlebomb for the 2006 elections.

The sad reality is that is an effort that could, at least in a few close races, move a few hundred votes away from a Republican candidate to a Democrat. So, in an effort to level the playing field, early this morning, I put together a list of 45 key races that right-of-center bloggers can Googlebomb as well.

So, if you're interested in helping us to achieve Googlebomb parity with our comrades on the left in the search engine arms race, then just post the following code on your blog:

See links below the fold or Howie can email you the HTML by request. Seeing how the Jawa is on Google News this should be a nuclear Google bomb, Fight fire with Fire I always say.
