London - Muslim Protester & Holocaust Denier
In yet another blatant act of cultural cowardice, teachers in the UK are refusing to teach students critical points of history, for fear of offending tender Muslim sensibilities, or forcing them to examine the teachings of their Imams more closely.

Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, a Government backed study has revealed.
It found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.

There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades - where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem - because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques.

The findings have prompted claims that some schools are using history 'as a vehicle for promoting political correctness'.

The study, funded by the Department for Education and Skills, looked into 'emotive and controversial' history teaching in primary and secondary schools.

It found some teachers are dropping courses covering the Holocaust at the earliest opportunity over fears Muslim pupils might express anti-Semitic and anti-Israel reactions in class.

The report concluded: "In particular settings, teachers of history are unwilling to challenge highly contentious or charged versions of history in which pupils are steeped at home, in their community or in a place of worship."

But Chris McGovern, history education adviser to the former Tory government, said: "History is not a vehicle for promoting political correctness. Children must have access to knowledge of these controversial subjects, whether palatable or unpalatable."

The researchers also warned that a lack of subject knowledge among teachers - particularly at primary level - was leading to history being taught in a 'shallow way leading to routine and superficial learning'.

10 This is an isolated event, decided (badly) by individual schools on a local level, that will quickly be slapped down. It's happening all over the place - recently, some random idiot council official prevented a local school performing a play of 'the three little pigs', fearing it might offend the muslims. Truth is, the muslims never cared - they don't eat pork, but they are well aware that pigs exist. Sadly, weak-willed apologists are stepping over themselves in a bizarre bid to out-PC each other - but it doesn't tend to last, once the backlash starts to roll in.

And crusaderdude - just you try it, mate. Let me know where to send the flowers.

14 Joe Public nice to see you!   I want to add to your comment that quite a fw muslims seem to delight in removing th 'pig' image from thier sight. Many are willing to make an issue of the pigs image, in art. In the USA, we had a pig farmer get told he should move his farm because it had pigs.  I know your the real deal as an Englishman, and that does include a measure of politeness, but the cultural imperialism is more real, and more severe than I think you are seeing.  ALSO, I hope you guys show those thugs in the gulf who thety are messing with

15 I refused to teach Islam in the UK, the students appreciated the extra art and football lessons (of course I never told the school). Islam has no benefit to anyone. Alas the UK is now controlled by islamic sympathisers, these scum need to be lined up and shot as traitors.

teaching about the holocaust are they themselves not
being holocaust deniers? They should be sacked instantly
for their sickening behaviour, and then denied the dole and
