Yes, it's Googlebait. There are apparently an awful lot of people in this cold, cruel world just desperate for a little flash of buttitude to brighten their day. They ask for it, we deliver.

Upon a review of the reporting on the events transpiring on July 23, 2006 near Qana, Lebanon, along with the criticisms of the reporting and the follow-up work by Human Rights Watch, we have conducted our own follow-on investigation. You can read the full report * HERE *.Based on our investigation, which included interviews with a significant number of individuals having direct knowledge of information related to events occurring on or about July 23, 2006, along with a review of a significant portion of official photographs of the aftermath of such events and written records based at least partly on eyewitness testimony of such events, we have come to the conclusion that the Israeli munitions striking ambulances 777 and 782 were not Hellfire missiles or Spike missiles.
Our detailed analysis as to the Spike missile and our conclusions as to the Israeli munitions which did destroy ambulances 777 and 782 are set forth in detail below.
And if you're not in the mood for an "official report," the "cliff's notes" version is BELOW THE FOLD: more...

Its called "Who Said It: Bin Laden, or a Liberal College Professor?"
1. "Reality testifies that the war against America and its allies has not remained confined to Iraq."Look below the fold for the answers. No peeking. more...2. "In fact, Iraq has become a point of attraction and recruitment of qualified resources."
3. "There is no defect in this solution other than preventing the flow of hundreds of billions to the influential people and war merchants in America, who supported Bush's election campaign with billions of dollars."
4. "In fact, reports indicate that the defeat and devastating failure of the ill-omened plan of the four - Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Wolfowitz - and the announcement of this defeat and working it out, is only a matter of time, which is to some extent linked to the awareness of the American people of the magnitude of this tragedy."

Please understand that this link, like the previous information related to Miss USA Tara Connor, is provided solely for research purposes. As you know, we don't spend all our time distributing a bunch of pornography (aka "porn") here, or wild pictures of naked lesbian (aka "good gay") girls kissing, or pictures of naughty girls like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan showing off their complete lack of panties. The Jawa Report is not just about boobs--or breasts, or cha-chas, or whatever term you prefer. There are places you can find pictures (and even videos) of Paris Hilton showing off her bare ass and/or doing dirty sexual things, but this normally isn't one of those places. We do, of course, post a lot of YouTube videos (especially around Christmas,) and even feature the very occasional post on Harry Potter. If I ever figure out what Rockstartup and Studivz are, I'll probably post on them, as well.

Trump owes me for the sandwich parts I sprayed when he said this:
"Barbara Walters, in my opinion, rues the day she put this animal on her show..."
I so wanted to blog about that right then and there.
Eh, delayed gratification and all that.

[Barney] Frank: You just stood there and accused American soldiers of deliberately targeting, hunting down and shooting journalists.Read the whole thing here.[extended silence]
[Eason] Jordan: Yes... I guess I'm just confused on the point you're trying to make.
Frank: My point is, do you actually have any evidence of that? I mean that the US military is deliberately killing journalists?
Jordan: Oh. Umm, okay, I think I see where you're going with that. Well, there are certainly accusations of that, and obviously we wouldn't be doing our jobs as journalists if we didn't recognize the existence of the accusations.
Frank: But you just stated it as fact.
Jordan: Well, duh. It's a fact: there have been accusations.
Unidentified Voice: I am a journalist, and the Imperialist American soldiers killed me.
Jordan: See [pointing]? Well, there you go. Jesus, Barney, what's with the third degree here? I thought you were gay.

Despite the clear targeting of radical jihadi terrorists by the video, YouTube Islamists are having it suppressed. I have some experience with "moderate Muslims" objecting to my own work (until Vinnie resurrected it).
Via Stop the ACLU.
UPDATE by Ragnar : From the band's website:
So What Happened?I can confirm that this happens on YouTube. When it happened to our video "Flight Club," I was open to the idea that it was just a glitch. Now it's looking like a pattern. Looks like they don't have the cojones to ban them outright, but they don't want them showing up on the front page and upsetting the Islamists, so they quietly game the system. Chickenshits.Honestly? We don’t know. But it is clear that someone in an administrative position at YouTube does not like the message presented in the video. The best we can tell is that “Open Season†has been banned from appearing in any of the “Honors†categories and appearing on the lists. The simple fact is that the videos on these lists are highly visible. In essence, they receive extra promotion for being popular. Apparently, this does not sit well with them in Stuck Mojo’s case.

Seems that Tatooine is a real place, not just the state of mind of the bin Ladens of the world. And the abandoned Star Wars set is the home of squatters who just sort of took over after the evil George Lucas left.
If there are Jawas there, no problem. You can deal with Jawas. It's the Tuskens who you have to watch out for. And the troglodytes. I. Kid. You. Not.
I don't know where Imperial Minister of all things Kylie Minogue's fantabulous backside, Ghost of a Flea, finds this stuff, but I sure do appreciate his thinking of us whenever he comes across some non-Europop related material and sends it our way. MySA.com:
I have never been a "Star Wars" aficionado, to tell you the truth. The closest I ever came to appreciating the movie was singing along to the "Star Wars" ring tone on my colleague's cell phone. If the surreal could get even surrealier, I don't know how. That is, until I took a trip to the planet Tatooine itself — a real place in the middle of the north African desert, a well-kept secret of Tunisia.
While ruthless Hollywood knocks over the set of each movie as soon as the director shouts his final "Cut!," Tunisia, where George Lucas shot most of the "Star Wars" scenes, still keeps the original set from the '70s, protecting it from the burning sun and the evil winds of the Sahara.....
What seemed to be just another pile of desert rocks, gradually, as we approached, took the shape of the rockets, satellites and spheres of the 1976 "Star Wars'" production, the real-life science fiction amid the ancient desert....
As I peered inside one of the impeccably built constructions, I noticed a mattress and a small teapot on the sand floor. In a mere moment, the "owner" of the house was there: an elder Arab man dressed in a typical desert fashion.
Surprisingly, his French was perfect and he explained to me that since he had neither family nor money, he came to live in the movie set. He looks after the place, the real roof of the fake house protects him from the sandstorms, and if a tourist throws him a small coin every once in a while, he can buy some more tea and some food. And he is hardly the only one living in the Lucas-built wonderland in the middle of the Sahara....
Sidi Driss used to be a real troglodyte house, and in the beginning of the '70s it was transformed into the hotel. When Lucas came to Tunisia to shoot the original "Star Wars," he came across the hotel and liked it so much, that not only did he sleep there; he also built additional "space" decorations inside the structure to shoot the necessary scenes. I received my first insight on the Sidi Driss' role in movie location history from an extremely excited American "Star Wars" fan, who was having dinner at the next table in the hotel's tiny canteen....
Having consumed both the food and the info, we left the "restaurant" and took numerous pictures near the real Skywalker memorabilia — the interior of the hotel. Then we went into the "Star Wars Bar" — a small pit in the hotel used to film the famous bar scene, and continued our investigation over the fancy-spacey-named cocktails.

There's certainly been a rash of fake news this year--or at least there's been a rash of EXPOSED fake news. Who knows how many fake news stories we bought over the years? I suppose we'll never know.
At any rate, the sight of Jayson Blair and Green Helmet back in the news, coupled with all the shenanigans at AP, got me thinking about fake news, and inspired me to do the photoshop above. I'm wondering if anyone else might be in the mood for a FAKE NEWS photoshop contest. Below the fold, I've uploaded "green screen" versions of some of the greatest fakers in the news, just to make it easy for ya. (Yes, I know Ted Turner's not really a journalist, but I really can't stand the guy, so I threw him in, too.) I'm sure you know what to do. Shoot your submissions to me via email.
NOTE : If you want credit for your work, please put your ID or URL in your image. Keeping track of who submitted what is a major headache.
