Online Campaigning Tips : What Not to Do

Tip #1 : If you're working to build support for your Republican candidate online, it's probably a good idea not to send a message like this to the editors at Pajamas Media:

Hello-

I’m the operator of the website that has sent all the Ron Paul voters to your page.

We are an ARMY of over 10,000 Ron Paul supporters that are promoting Dr Paul online.

We have NOT cheated your “poll”, we’re just voting like everyone else, unless it’s cheating to be an organized group of supporters.

Your slander of us and disrespect for Dr Paul will NOT be tolerated any longer, I’ll give you until tomorrow at 5pm to PROVE or REMOVE the “cheating” comments or a massive viral online campaign to discredit your site will begin.

2 I don't.  That's part of what makes this all so CRAZY...

But is it just crazy, or is Jody Wallace crazy like a fox?

3 "Jody" could be a leftist trying to cause trouble.  Sort of a 'Super Troll', if you know what I mean?  It's a leftist, and troll-like tactic to engage in such behavior, rather than engage in honest debate.  SO for now, I am taking that position. I don't have a special opinion of Ron Paul, but I suggest not holding this stupid reactionary attack on free speech against HIM.                USA, all the way!

I think the webmaster, ususally the lowest on the totem pole for many organizations, may have over-stepped his authority.  As a technology manager, I supervise guys like this and they almost always have a superiority complex that makes them defend poor design and questionable content.
