Daveed Gartenstein-Ross, for those who do not know, is a former convert to Islam who now works with the FBI and other agencies to combat terrorism.
He is a senior fellow at The Foundation for Defense of Democracies, the author of a book entitled 'My Year Inside Radical Islam', and he is a regular contributor to The Counterterrorism Blog.

Gartenstein-Ross will be traveling to Iraq as an embedded journalist, and he is asking for donations to The Counterterroism Blog to help support the costs of the embed.
As the CT blog is one of the most useful online resources I have found, and I am a daily reader, I am re-posting his request here in an effort to increase it's exposure:
