They Cried Out, Saying, "Crucify him, crucify him!"
(warning: some graphic images)
Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands. Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him. Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man! When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.
Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God. When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid; And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar. When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him. But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. And again another scripture saith, they shall look on him whom they pierced.

When Judas, who had
betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse
and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the
elders. "I have sinned," he said, "for I have betrayed innocent blood."
"What is that to us?" they replied. "That's your responsibility."
So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.
The chief priests picked up the coins and said, "It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money." So they decided to use the money to buy the potter's field as a burial place for foreigners. That is why it has been called the Field of Blood to this day. Then
what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: "They took the
thirty silver coins, the price set on him by the people of Israel, and they used them to buy the potter's field, as the Lord commanded me."

Saudis Promise to Suffocate Americans in Iraq
Our "friends" the Saudis. Go see the translation and commentary provided by Steve Decatur at Islam Threat. But also watch the video. Yeah, I know it's in Arabic, but the stunning visual of literally hundreds of robed Suadi men--some of them Royals--ecstatically cheering a poet threatening our annhialation speaks volumes. You'll also notice that this is on MBC -- a Saudi owned, UAE headquartered satellite TV station. Perhaps the most popular pan-Arab network in the world.

This is going to get worse and worse the more it appears that the Democrats might gain the White House. The Saudis are looking at a US that stands a chance of running away from Iraq leaving millions of Sunnis to be slaughtered in a country next door to them. They aren't happy about it and if they have to go in there and clean that mess up, they are going to hate America for centuries. The Democrats are not making the US any friends in the region.

Yup, and that has only started very recently. About the same time the Democrats started proposing "cut and run" legislation. They see us as a country that doesn't have any idea what we are going to be doing tomorrow. We just do as we please at the moment, get halfway into a project and abandon it and don't care who else it hurts as long as it gets one of the domestic political parties elected. You are going to hear more talk like that from even more countries if the Democrats make headway on their surrender plans. And nobody is ever going to ally with us again, either.

Blasphemy Charge Against 11 Year Old Pakistani Christian
Remember in Pakistan and under Sharia law, a Muslims testimony carries more weight than the testimony of a Dhimmi or an Infidel. Thus Muslims can make false charges against Christians with little of no evidence.
Asia News:Police in Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan, opened an investigation into blasphemy claims against five local Christians, including an 11-year-old boy. Local activists and priests say the case has been fabricated and Christian families in the area barricaded themselves in their homes during Holy Week celebrations.
The group of five is accused of disrespecting Mohammad and of having desecrated pieces of paper bearing the prophet's name...
...Fr. Mendes explained that the root of the problem is a quarrel between families. He claimed that local Muslims were offended by the behavior of the five Christians during a procession, agreed to report them, then attacked them during a march. The five ran away but Ratan Masih, who is disabled, did not succeed in fleeing and was brutally beaten. He remains in the hospital.
After Salamat Masih's arrest, local Christians began a campaign asking the authorities to intervene. They explained there have been substantial procedural errors made during the course of investigations including that the police have not investigated the accusations made against the Christians and that they simply arrested them on the hearsay of the Muslim's claims.
And also so what if they did tear up a piece of paper with Muhammad’s name on it? It’s a piece of paper, a name, nothing. That’s not offensive. This is offensive.

And as a work of visual art, we are also allowed to hate it, or love it as we choose, and even speak our minds about it (Love the vid BTW). The opposite of freedom, is what the 11 year old boy and his friends are suffering under. That is a true horror which we must constantly guard against.

About the arab leader of the 7th century, and his false-religion
How can someone claim he is the one and only last prophet of God, with a known commoner sinful past or very weak standards for being set as Mankind good will example, as someone to be followed because he is the last and author of false last orders of God to be just spread in arabic etc etc (fortunely, God is not arabic He his universal). How can someone claim that the Creator through and angel tells him to kill the non-followers opposers or gentile, one after the other? Is this the true desire of a true God or a false story about Him!?
An then occupying by force the places in Arabia and Jerusalem that the jews (Judah tribe, fred by Cyrus from Babylonia) the first Monotheistic religion (of one God the Creator the Almighty; not the stones the bulls the golden calves, other material world objects used then in Arabia) and also first Christian Jesus followers themselves, were piously honoring from their common forefathers? Only if he is a false prophet, a hoax, a fake holy person therefore a common sinner and a common blood-thirsty conqueror or leader.
And then even quite calculistic and in an imaginary way, being taken to heaven on an arabic horse exactly from that spot were the King Solomon temple to the One Creator One God, before stood!? A calculistic lunatic with visions and kids stories. A sick person, a squizophrenic, a proud sinner man also full of prejudice, because of systematic examples of racism and of criminal dis-respect he had with thousands of others.
Muhammad never was and never will be a Prophet. Is actions do not show any Holiness: he had 10 official wives (at least), with one of them (Aisha) and by modern standards he even can be classified as being a 'pedophile', he expelled killed or conquered adversaries and territories from Jews and arab Christians, territories of other political leaders that were passing by phase of weakness (Egypt, Persia, present Turkey, northern Africa, ...) etc etc always killing by the sword. Besides being a lunatic esquizophrenic sick person with visions ... because of his opportunistic first marriage with a wealthy woman (that had age to be his mother) associated with powerful arab merchants, he conveniently (and in a quite calculistic way done by his wives families) became an arab leader. No more no less.
And the racism of arabs against jews (do not forget that Israel is descendent from the official marriage of Abraham with his jewish wife, while Arabs descend from his slave) made the rest. This false religion is based on hate of two brothers from same father-trunk, and the arabs very difficultly (because of racial blindness) will see that the Salvation comes from believing in a Jew that died on the Cross for the sins of all Mankind: Jesus Christ, God made flesh, but exactly because of that Citizen of the World - no racism, simultaneous jew and gentile, renewer of the Old Testament in the attitudes examples principles laws parabolas gospels ideas justifications pedagogic behaviors and innumerous other aspects and facets clearly outline in the 4 independent stories of His deeds and the deeds and inspired thoughts (contained in New Testament Gospels and Letters and Acts of the Apostles) of his first humble leaders followers and Gospel spreaders. The arab Christians still remaining is a miracle of the True God because the opportunistic sinner arab leader of the 7th century and his sinful followers exterminated enslaved killed and destroyed (by devilish actions) almost all of the arab natural Christian adhesion then existing in the Middle East.
What is regretful is that because of this lunatic -- an historic arab leader, falsely converted in a pretense prophet but in fact a false prophet (nothing to be followed, unless you are a blind fanatic islamofascist) that personally led his crimes by the sword -- so much unrest has been caused to the world to his region and to other regions (namely Europe, in a weakness period after the Huns Vandals Suevs Goths successive invasions of the western roman empire ; and only much latter by the turks invasion of the eastern roman empire).
Such invasions do not have nothing of Holy, even if led by this fanatic un-holy common arab man, horse-back riding with a weapon of destruction by killing - a sword - in his criminal hands (doing the crimes with the known weapon: what else do you need to judge him in the court of History!?. Are you blind deaf and mute!? Or are you an animal!?).
On the contrary, Jesus did not led any army rebellion any conquering and killing of his adversaries, and as a Peacemaker died in a Holy Cross our symbol of Love of Tolerance of Wisdom of Holy Rationality ... not of blind muslim fanaticism.
And if by some reason you still do not feel attracted and attached to Jesus Love (read His sayings, interpret them with a free spirit consulting his followers if necessary, let the Holy flow of God's will enter into your mind, not imposed to you by blind mindless fanatics and not afraid a changing into the religion of True Love of God for Mankind) … then I tell you that at least the last Prophets were John Paul II (every Man or Woman of good will knows whom he was and what he represents even today), Mother Teresa of Calcutta (a Holy albanian woman, now a world symbol of catholic Christian universal woman's love for mankind), ..., Martin Lutter King, Gandhi, DrLivingstone, ... ... and thousands of world citizens in every continent (known and unknown) by whose actions examples works and deeds the world moved positively forward without destroying others.
But definitely the arab leader of the 7th century (d.C.) is not included and will never be in the list (he does not deserve to be, because exactly of his life of wrong calculated deeds and crimes committed), even if islamofascist want by force by homicides by suicides by kamikaze's by pressure or by any other stupid means convince or force the rest of the world of their blindness.
What is also regretful is that most of the arabs and all of the muslims do not re-direct their supposedly existing pious character toward God's concept and idea, into the right direction: Be Christian (as most of your ancestors of the 3rd to 7th to 10th century, before being forced to change or die), because Jesus Christ is synonymous of Universality of Love.
And, nevertheless, may God and Jesus bless you all ! I do not hate you, I hate what you -- the presently living -- pretend to stupidly follow as a false gospel of threads of punishments of hate of illogical non-theologian sayings, serving arab needs in a certain moment in history (the reason why the man is historically labeled solely as an arab leader, no more-no less). But you deserve much much much more!
Such false-truth of such false religion has created and is creating world damage (to you and to all mankind). But notice that God is Love, he is the Creator the Almighty One, the One and Only, even if for other believers (say in Asia, the Buddhists or any others) it is represented with many faces or facets of properties (as the New Testament indicates, in His house there are many rooms, that is many ways or paths to achieve to recognize him as Almighty, Creator, the One and Only God). This is the reason I am and will always be a Christian: rational universality through Him and through His Love.

Former Jemaah Islamiya Member On Salafism, Islam
In this article Tawfik Hamid sneds a wake up call to western liberals.
Tawfik Hamid via WSJ: …there is much that is clearly wrong with the Islamic world. Women are stoned to death and undergo clitorectomies. Gays hang from the gallows under the approving eyes of the proponents of Shariah, the legal code of Islam. Sunni and Shia massacre each other daily in Iraq. Palestinian mothers teach 3-year-old boys and girls the ideal of martyrdom. One would expect the orthodox Islamic establishment to evade or dismiss these complaints, but less happily, the non-Muslim priests of enlightenment in the West have come, actively and passively, to the Islamists’ defense.
These “progressives†frequently cite the need to examine “root causes.†In this they are correct: Terrorism is only the manifestation of a disease and not the disease itself. But the root-causes are quite different from what they think. As a former member of Jemaah Islamiya, a group led by al Qaeda’s second in command, Ayman al-Zawahiri, I know firsthand that the inhumane teaching in Islamist ideology can transform a young, benevolent mind into that of a terrorist. Without confronting the ideological roots of radical Islam it will be impossible to combat it. While there are many ideological “rootlets†of Islamism, the main tap root has a name—Salafism, or Salafi Islam, a violent, ultra-conservative version of the religion.
It is vital to grasp that traditional and even mainstream Islamic teaching accepts and promotes violence. Shariah, for example, allows apostates to be killed, permits beating women to discipline them, seeks to subjugate non-Muslims to Islam as dhimmis and justifies declaring war to do so. It exhorts good Muslims to exterminate the Jews before the “end of days.†The near deafening silence of the Muslim majority against these barbaric practices is evidence enough that there is something fundamentally wrong….
…Worst of all, perhaps, is the anti-Americanism among many Westerners. It is a resentment so strong, so deep-seated, so rooted in personal identity, that it has led many, consciously or unconsciously, to morally support America’s enemies.
Progressives need to realize that radical Islam is based on an antiliberal system. They need to awaken to the inhumane policies and practices of Islamists around the world. They need to realize that Islamism spells the death of liberal values.
The doctrine of hate that the terrorists follow is the antithesis of traditional liberal values. Traditional liberal values are as much my birthright as anyone’s. It is a part of the fabric of America. But some on the left have a romantic notion that tolerance includes being tolerant of the knife at their throat and the suffering of millions. Tolerance becomes a crime, when applied to evil! Therefore modern progressive liberalism, if not a crime already, is destined to be remembered as such.
It is a tragedy that his words of truth will fall upon the deaf ears of liberalism. Were they just to fall upon deaf ears it would merely be a shame, but America’s liberals will deride insult and cast every imaginable derision upon his character for his daring to speak such words against Islam. For what this honest courageous individual has said he shall be cast upon the flames of a pyre and marinated in pork grease then eviscerated with such venom that only a Islamic decree ofapostasy couldhave a carry amoreserious charge.

greyrooster, I think the truth lies somewhere between your view, and Rusty's. To many people, Islam, and Sharia are the same. We know Sharia cannot exist without replacing the laws that came before it, so we know it cannot exist in the USA without attacking our Constitution. Human sacrifice is against the law, and I think a case can be made to examine Sharia in the same light. Some religious practices are simply not going to work in a free country. I'm afraid Unclezeb is right, it isnt just one haib here a mosque over there trying to force a pig farm to move or a group of Emans complaining about being kicked off an airplane there. It is a systematic attempt to erode our constitution so that they can replace it with Sharia. Hell CAIR has come out dozens of times and said exactly that. The world we live in now is so permeated by Islamic fascism that you really do need to look at every single Muslim as either a terrorist in waiting or a terrorist supporter. Personally I think for the national security of this nation it is time to rebuild Manzanar.

I'm not so sure about that, Saudi Arabia is a source of Salafism but the The Salafis consider the rulers there as illegitimate. Thus all the killing of the Salafi Jihadis the Saudis have done the last few years. tbone, I DO respect your concern with the Saudi's and it is extremely valid. I hate this, but I do believe we need to work around the Saudi's if only for the simple reason of keeping the Muslims who aren't active jihadists, from becoming active. Attacking Saudi Arabia now, is about the only action we could take which I really do believe would increase the terrorist threat in a way we are't ready for. al-Qaeda Enforcers Murder Little Boy
Just when you thought al-Qaeda had stooped to the lowest point possible.
Via MNF: CAMP TAJI, Iraq — While on a routine patrol, Iraqi police officers discovered the body of an 11-year-old boy April 2 in Sab Al Bor, Iraq.
The IPs found the body, a suspected murder victim, on Sudani Street. The child’s throat had been slit.
Troop B, 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment Soldiers received the initial report from the Iraqi police and assisted in gathering information. A police report of the incident indicated that a local Al Qaeda cell is suspected in the murder which was “perpetrated to instill fear in the villagers of Sab Al Bor.â€
Iraqi security forces have launched an investigation to find those responsible for the murder.
A commenter on a forum recently said, "Do you think the Sunnis feel save without the ISI protecting them?"
Well, how safe does it feel when, if you have the slightest disagreement with al-Qaeda, they chop your kid's head off? How safe does it feel when al-Qeada commits mass murder in an attempt to incite violence and murder against the Sunnis by the Shia?
If that is the type of "protection" they provide, I bet most Iraqi's would rather do without.

I always wondered what the end result would have been if we had just let Saddam loose in the 90s instead of crushing him over Kuwait. Would he actually have wiped out the Saudi royals? Could we wait until he then threatened Jordan and Lebanon, and then we destroyed him completely? Theoretically, that would have allowed the 'democracy experiment' to cover a wider region at once, and under a Democratic president (so Congress would be more united on the war, with only fringes on both sides opposing). Presumably, cutting off the Saudi terror funds a decade ago would mean the modern insurgent gangs would be fewer and weaker.
Obviously, that scenario would involve many times the death and destruction of how history actually played out - as of 2007. But in 50 years, I think the economics will tell another story.

Lip service to the terrorists. To the Saudi royal family, the only thing worse than the US military being in the region is NOT having them in the region to protect them from the factions that would drive them from power.

Google Protecting al Qaeda CopyrightsOn Saturday Rusty reported some difficulty we are having with Google Video rejecting our videos. I had uploaded the video because I wanted to report on the break-down of support for al-Qaeda and their front group, the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI). In the video that was rejected, al-Libi begs for unity and acceptance of the ISI’s leadership by Sunni jihadis.
The ISI is a group founded by al-Qaeda’s dead emir, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, as a way to unite the various Salafi jihad groups under one leadership(al-Qaeda's). Although the ISI often states it is 'not al-Qaeda', the leader of ISI has pronounced that its goals and al-Qeada’s are the same: an Islamic Caliphate extending from Asia to Spain.
We had hoped the reason our videos were rejected was because Google was finally cracking down on jihadist propaganda on Google Video, Youtube, and blogspot. I even went so far as to check the Islamic Army in Iraq propaganda outlets at juba-online.blogspot.com and juba-thebaghdadsniper.blogspot.com to see if they were still online..... and yes, they were.
As it turns out Google actually thought it was protecting the al Qaeda owned and operated as-Sahab Media's copyright. Here is the letter I received from "The Google Video Team" answering my qeustion as to why the al Qaeda propaganda video was rejected:
Hi, Thanks for your email. Please note your videos were rejected for copyright reasons. Copyright law and the Google Video Terms of Service prohibit distributing copyrighted works, unless you have the legal right to do so. If you're unsure whether you have the right to use any of the content you wish to submit to Google Video, including any music in the video, please do not upload it to our program.
Which is ironic since,as Rusty tells me, “al-Qaeda does not have the copyright on the video. It's true. Apparently, copyright is 'un-Islamic'."
I’ve pointed that out to Google and asked for a specific reason they rejected the video. No reply yet.
Anyway, as-Sahab has released another video from al-Liby in which he scolds the Jihadis in Somalia for losing the faith in Jihad after their defeat this winter.
He also admits that al-Qaeda is powerless to retake Somalia calling the resistance, “The few and the weak.†And he also accuses them of being impotent. Sounds like a personal problem to me.
Fight a guerilla war, for it is the most durable of battles and the least in losses, most crushing and most appropriate for the weak and the few.
So rejoice, O guardians of Tawheed, and be hopeful, and shed the feelings of despair, blow away the clouds of despondency and repel the illnesses of impotence.
The few and the weak indeed! There are a lot fewer al-Qaeda terrorists in Somalia now and the ones that are left have been seriously weakened.
The part I find the most interesting is that al-Libi appears to have taken al-Zawahiri’s role as the primary spokesman for al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan. This may be because Zawahiri’s last few messages have had little effect. If so, then al-Libi's speeches are a failure as well as they have not been widely reported outside of Islamist circles.
The funniest part is that al-Libi sings in the video. Several times he sings verses from the Koran. He sings them terribly, at best. Do I detect a castrato?
I have some related links and the complete text of the message below with some frame grabs. I’ll try and upload the video as well so you can hear the idiot sing. It will probably be rejected, but it’s worth a shot.
As this is al-Liby's second message in less than a week, Rusty now calls him al-Qaeda’s new media whore, "who puts Paris Hilton to shame", so I’ll be accepting suggestion for a funny new nickname for him in comments.
UPDATE by Rusty: I am suddenly reminded of House Resolution 224, sponsored by Congressman Bill Shuster, which is a first attempt at discouraging the use of american corporations and servers in the dissemination of jihadi propaganda. It might be worthwhile to e-mail your House Representative and voice your support for the bill.
Update II: Google replied, same answer. Video added, below the fold, hurry it may not last long.
What we have here, in all likelihood, is the terrorism equivalent of one mafia family whacking the leader of another for cooperating with the police.
Update IV: I really like how, when you post your problem on the blog, it goes away. Google reinstated the the first video. Link below the fold.

Just wait a couple years, when the DMCA gets expanded, fair use is outlawed, and copyright becomes perpetual and retroactive. Then Mohammed will own a posthumous copyright to the Koran, in all translations. YouTube is just being proactive.
And in the future, all restaurants will be Taco Bell!
Posted by: wooga at March 27, 2007 04:17 PM (t9sT5)

To explain, Mo's copyright would include any oral references to the Koran. So, quoted the Koran would be illegal for all except authorized persons, which would be the imams.
And the reason all restaurants will be Taco Bell is because we will no longer use toilet paper, but will have long since migrated to using three sea shells. Just wait and see.

#3 Rusty, I agree, Salafis don't believe in copyright. It is unislamic. Most of their websites have banners to back that up. I came across a website that was using MLK speeches (you wouldn't believe what they referred the speeches to.), they came right out and said they ignored the copyright and would post any speech from the MLK foundation. Being a concerned citizen I politely informed the MLK about such websites. So Salafis here I am, I am the one that got you in trouble with MLK foundation. His Dream and your dream are two different things. His Dream was equality for all and your dream is equality for only islam.

Wait, you mean the Salafis not only won't pursue their own copyright, but they openly state they reject everyone else's copyrights too? I thought they made exceptions for that sort of thing, sort of like how they might allow jews to hang around solely so somebody could run the interest handling banks and credit cards.
Hmmm, I wonder if anyone is going to raise a "free exercise of Islam" defense when they get sued by the music industry for bootlegging mp3s. They should get laughed out of court, but I wonder if it might fly in front of some of the crazier judges.

Egypt Cracks Down on Liberal Democracy Movement
Sam Adam was at a pro-democracy demonstration last night when the Egyptian SS turned out in force and began arresting people. His main concern seems to be that no one is covering the story. The sad thing? The largest pro-democracy faction in Egypt seems to be the Islamist Egyptian Brotherhood--the al Qaeda fellow travellers. Needless to say, Sam Adam and most of the Egyptian bloggers are not in that camp.
Read the whole story, but here is what moved me. Sandmonkey:
Maybe the government is right: Maybe we don't deserve Democracy. Maybe we don't deserve our rights. Maybe we deserve everything that happens to us. We, as people, seem to lack the sense of self-respect and dignity that makes the human being demand his/her right, so how do we expect the government to respect us or give us those rights? We clearly don't deserve them. We clearly deserve to have our rights stolen, our friends imprisoned, and our women assaulted. Cause, otherwise, how would you explain how accepting we are of those things?
Maybe we don't deserve any better.
Rather depressing development. The Arabist also has a report.

"...We, as people, seem to lack the sense of self-respect and dignity that makes the human being demand his/her right, so how do we expect the government to respect us or give us those rights?..."

Sunni "Insurgents" Using Retards "Timmy", Kids, & Puppies in Attack (Update: Now edited for PC)Meet the new tool of Sunni "insurgents" in Iraq--the Down Syndrome bomb! Anyway, for my money, the realretardsdee-dee-dees are the ones running al Qaeda in Iraq, the Army of Ansar al Sunna, Jaish al Mujahidin, and the 1920s Revolutionary Brigades. The biggest retarddee-dee-dee of them all being Abu Omar al-Baghdadi.
"Isn't that a little politically incorrect to use retards dee-dee-dees, kids, and puppies to blow up the apostates, the Zionist crusaders, and the infidels?" you ask.
Yeah, maybe, but hell, no one's gonna tell al Qaeda in Iraq who they can and can't work with.
Those goofy bastards are about the best thing they've got going.
Al Qaeda in Iraq is using kidnapped children to pick up weapons dropped in battle zones, get past checkpoints and die in car bombs, according to U.S. officials and Iraqis in Baghdad.
"Men traveling with children in the back of their cars rarely get searched because they look like a family," said Hassan, a middle-aged Shi'ite living in one of the capital's older mixed neighborhoods.
"Then they leave the car and blow it up by remote control with the children in it," he said. Hassan, who did not want his full name used out of fear of retaliation, said at one point last year children with Down syndrome had been used to carry bombs.
So, we've got the first two covered, but what about puppies? Surely the Sunni insurgents wouldn't resort to blowing up puppies? Wrong, kimosabe!
As usual, Allah scoops us on this and has more commentary about the baby killers in the Sunni insurgency.
UPDATE: Every time I use the word 'retard' I offend somebody. Here's a hint: Sometimes 'Rusty' is Eric Cartman, and sometimes he's Kyle. Today is an Eric Cartman day.

It's funny, retards don't get offended when you call them 'retards'. If you were offended by the use of the word 'retard', maybe you should rethink your priorities in life and get a grip on what is really important. Getting along with everyone and holding hands and making everyone happy isn't a reality, it is pure liberal fantasy. Making sure your freedoms are secure enough to use the word 'retard' is a higher priority than being offended. Last I checked, freedom of expression is a right and there is no guarantee to not be offended anywhere in the Constitution or Bill of Rights. You would know that if you weren't a retard.

The insult is "tard." "Retard" is just something that overactive members of support groups with too much time on their hands complain about.
Just like some people claim it's racist if you use the term "black" instead of "African American." Then they have to say Obama is a "Non-African-American African American African" or something.
Palestinian MansionsHelp me I'm being oppressed alert! If it wasn't for the fact that Palestinian Authority controlled land was so thoroughly ethnically cleansed and is now completely Jew-free, then I might just blame this on the Zionist oppressors.
Not that I'm against Arabs living in mansions--I'm all for anybody living in as large a house as they can afford, restricted only by their conscience--but I do think this is a glaring example of both the media and Palestinian agitator hypocrisy. When was the last time you saw any images of Palestinians which weren't of "refugee camps" or of kids being "oppressed by Israel"? The only thing more satisfying would be to learn that these mansions had Hamas officials living in them since one of their major sources of support seems to have been from the destitute masses which perceived Fatah officials as systematcally corrupt. Heh, even Hamas gets things correct from time to time.
1
Rusty, please define "refugee camp." The way I figure it, once you have running water, a sewage system, and municipal power you should no longer be considered a refugee camp. At that point you're just a plain old city, which may or may not be a shithole like most Palestinian cities are,

These mansions, and scores of others like them, adorn the hilly outskirts of Jerusalem. I believe Muhammad Abu-Tir (elected Hammas representative) lives in a similar "humble abode". Car swarms no, but stone throwing at Israeli cars - sometimes. An Arab neighborhood in North Jerusalem - Shuafat - is still considered a refugee camp, despite its lovely villas. And the dividing fence is nowhere in site. Some of these buildings do not appear to be inhabited. I hope they are not intended for war purposes, like some of the empty houses in South Lebanon.
Your tax money, our tax money -

I just wonder how much money the EU contributed to the Darfur refugees, or to their poorer European members. I vacationed in Portugal in 2004 - some rural areas could only dream of your average Palestinian village. Not to mention parts of Romania and Bulgaria. But then again, those unlucky Europeans do not enjoy the luxury of being occupied and oppressed by the Zionists.
Posted by: busywolf at March 21, 2007 12:22 PM (ghFDr)
Should probably read that as "refugee camps" not refugee camps. Just as it probably should read "kids being oppressed by Israel" rather than kids being oppressed by Israel.

Thanks to Ronny Gordon for the editorial cartoon. No matter how expensive the suit, the terrorist lies just beneath the surface.
Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz on P.A. President Mahmoud Abbas (aka, Abu Mazen) at ynet:
The president of the Palestinian Authority is the person we should talk to for peace. I call upon Abu Mazen (Abbas): Fulfill your commitment and release Gilad Shalit. That would provide the required breakthrough for the political process.
"We will not compromise on the war against terrorism. Those who refuse to recognize the State of Israel reject the possibility for peace," he stated.
In 1959, Abu Mazen was a prominent member in the newly established Fatah terror organization in Kuwait, which was the safe haven for Arafat, Abu Mazen, Abu Ala` and their colleagues, who had to flee Egypt for subversive activities. In 1964 he joined Arafat in the Syrian safe haven, but had to flee in 1966 along with his leader, following the murder – by Fatah – of Syrian intelligence officers. In 1970, Abu Mazen played a central role in the attempted PLO coup against King Hussein, and during the 1970s he was a member of the PLO leadership, which fueled a series of civil wars in Lebanon and tried to topple the Beirut regime.
In 1972, Abu Mazen was responsible for raising the funds, required for the Munich Massacre of 11 Israeli athletes. He acquired much of his subversive skills at the KGB headquarters in Moscow, where he received (at Moscow University) his Ph.D. on Holocaust Denial. No Western society would tolerate a holocaust denier holding a prominent position, but Abu Mazen has been accorded respect...
Since 1993, Abu Mazen has been the second most important Palestinian, forging the nature of the Palestinian society in general and its hate-education in particular (in PA schools and kindergartens, mosques and media), which has served as the manufacturing-line of Palestinian homicide bombers. Abu Mazen has been a master of double-talking and fork-tonguing. He has misled Israeli and Western policy-makers and public opinion-molders by leveraging his non-Arafat appearance: well shaved face, trendy ties, grandpa-like looks and a seemingly moderate rhetoric (when addressing Westerners).
Israeli and Western movers and shakers have been inclined to sacrifice a 50 year old track record on the altar of the wishful thinking, which has sanctified Oslo and its offshoots (Hebron and Wye Accords, Road Map and Disengagement). A US colloquialism states: “Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.†Abu Mazen and his colleagues have fooled Israel and the US since 1993. Are Israel and the US intent upon earning the dubious title of “Suckers of the globe!

Maj Troy Gilbert's Body Desecrated in VideoVia Centcom:
SOUTHWEST ASIA — Recent news reports stated that the Islamic State of Iraq terrorist organization is releasing a video on Maj. Troy Gilbert’s death.
Major Gilbert was killed Nov. 27, 2006, when his F-16C crashed while he was supporting Coalition ground combat operations approximately 20 miles northwest of Baghdad.
He was positively identified and classified as killed in action through DNA analysis by the Armed Forces Medical Examiner. The identification was made from human remains recovered from the crash site. His body was removed from the crash site by anti-Coalition personnel before U.S. forces could arrive to secure the area.
“We are aware of the attempts by anti-Coalition forces to exploit Major Gilbert’s death. It is appalling and cowardly that they did not treat his remains with the respect deserved of an honorable warrior,†said Lt. Gen. Gary North, commander, United States Central Command Air Forces.
Major Gilbert was assigned to the 309th Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., and was deployed to the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing at Balad Air Base, Iraq, at the time of his death.
The trailer, yes the terrorists release trailers for their sick videos, contains an image of Troy's ID(below the fold).
We were worried that when Troy's body was taken that the enemy would use it for propaganda purposes. This sounds similar to previous videos that the terrorist have released of american soldier's bodies being abused and descrated. This is a war crime under the Geneva Convention and the terrorists should be held to account.
We pray that Troy's remains are recovered and those who disrespected his remains are brought to justice.

Shut the fuck up, John! Damn, your hatred of America is mindblowing! Where is your evidence? Since when do our soldiers mutilate the dead and publish videos of it onto the web as a means of propoganda? You fucking piece of shit! How dare you compare our troops to aninals like these! I hope Haditha isn't your evidence. This is simply another attempt by insurgents to create a "Blackhawk Down" effect by acting like savages towards the dead and hoping for a similar reaction by the American people: lets leave! Simple as that. John, your desperate attempts to shit on America and its brave are so pathetic, and show that you are an oxygen thief and should have died in utero. Really John? US forces have violated the Geneva Convention by desecrating bodies of enemy soldiers?
(I was going to bait you into looking stupid. But today I feel some pity. See, militants out of uniform dispersing themselves among a civilian population are not protected by the Geneva Conventions. There are strong reasons for that rule, but I'll let you figure them out. Hint: Geneva conventions are in part designed to minimize civilian casualties).

well.... lets see, there was scalping, then taking of ears..... people get pretty fucked up in a war and do allot of crazy shit. unfortunatley, each side does, always. But with our troops, that sort of thing is the few and far between exception and not the rule. If it's any comfort, and I doubt it, the man's already dead and they can't hurt him anymore, just the rest of us that are still here by doing things to a bio mass that once played host to a great American.. The worst thing that can happen now is that his service is not honored and be remembered. That's why the job has to be finished. And if the sand fleas that got delight from antagonizing dead flesh are caught, the Gen Black Jack Pershing style execution seems fitting. It's time to take the fight to the enemy.
you're right. It doesn't really sound like any of our two resident racists. They aren't that malicious about it.
It's not hard dealing with racists like them because I consider racism to be largely irrelevant today. Thirty-five years ago would have been a different story though.

That posters junk is just empty and foul, like a beer and egg fart. I didn't repsond because there wasn't any idea or point behind it to toss around, not because that kind of stuff bothers me. But the thread isn't about me, it's about this great American soldier that we lost. If anything, I'm saddened that there's trash on it now. Maybe someone who can edit will take the tarnish from this thread, he deserves better.

You know what's getting me p.o.'ed? The fact that I am no longer shocked by news like this. I'm angry, and eager to have our guys lay some serious hurt on the perps. But ever since the first few murders, Pearl & the subsequent victims, the shock of hearing about things like this has progressively numbed down. And I hate the jihadists for blunting my sensitivities like that.
23
Sanity,
It is a sad state of affairs when the action of so few can have an effect on so many in such a way. What will they do when they realize they can't scare us anymore? Don't they realize each act of this type only strengthens the resolve to get the job done? How much sooner would WWII come to an end if we'd of gotten live feed from the death camps? As much as the dems are demoralizing with their treasonus activities, the terrorists are rallying the will and the might of the USA against themselves. I say let us see all that they do so that in the final hour there will be no hesitation or doubt as what must be done.

So far it's mostly a rerun of old stuff except for the ID. the accompanying PDF is a peice of propaganda crap. thye attempt to make it appear as though Maj.Gilbert was indescriminately attacking civilians, they have added some dead baby pics a la Hezbollah type propaganda. The building they use as a setting is the same one in the footage al-jazeera footage. You know the one with 20 fighters all heavily armed with rpg's and possbly sa-7 missiles. They have totally swisted the story to create a fictional account of war crimes. The only new thing about the video portion is that it is of much higher quality than previous releases. It claims to be the original file and may well be.
As you may recall the major was supporting ground troops against these fighters. They retreated and made a stand in this building. I have footage of the "victory" celebration to debunk it. But what they have done is paint a very nasty fictional story around the events at the dead mans's expense.
I've had contact with several of Maj. Gilberts friends and comrades asking for copies and information when he crashed. There was one theme they all repeated. Maj. Gilbert was of the highest character both on and off duty. From what I gather he was a very nice as well as dedicated pilot. He did his job well.
So they have used footage of his body in a propaganda film as well as besmirched his memory and reputation. This is not news or an independent production of some guys in the field simply recording what they have seen and using it. This is a slick official al-Furqan (ISI/al-Qaeda) production for propaganda and recruting purposes.
There is not co-relation to official US news and propaganda. If you think differently then go here. You can use anonymous footage of battles that include those killed. You cannot use identified corpses for anything other than strictly informational purposes. This is a war propaganda following and agenda loosely disguised as information. They accuse Mr. Gilbert and America by association of deliberatly murding unarmed civilians who were just sitting there minding their own business. All traces of arms and the fighters who were teh targets have been removed.

Jesus panty-sniffing Christ. It's like talking to a sack of hammers. My bet is you will think all of this was fabricated to make the US look bad, but what you fail to realize is that it's folks like you who would do the desecrating. That is if you weren't too scared to go yourselves.

Howie: What pisses me so much is that if you recall My father was killed in action in 1943. A pilot in the Army Air Corps. A few pictures and a grave marker is all us kids had to remember him by. I fact I really don't even remember him at all since I was 2 yrs old at the time. I can relate to what Major Gilbert's family feels. Believe me you don't get over it in a few years. In fact you don't get over it at all. One time in Las Vega I had an unbeliveable urge to beat the shit out of a Japanese guy who made a minor comment about "this country". If he had not been from Japan I probably wouldn't have noticed his comment. Shows that the pain is still there after 63 years.

It's not just the price that our loved ones pay with their lives , it's the cost to the family. It's tough to hear that a man can go his whole life and still be brought to a raging boil just by the right circumstances with a single sentence. Imagine that being in your everyday life and everyone that you knows life, add ignorance and dire poverty and all the things that go with being in a 4th world country and perhaps one would believe about anything. That's the difference between our great nation and over there. A man can at least go on with his life and do something rather than be consumed with hate and anger. The opportunity is what sets the US apart from anywhere else, that's why everyone wants to come here and that's why it's so incredible that anyone would ever not appreciate it. But you don't know what you have never known, maybe that's a good part of what fuels my pal roosters deep seated anger. He has known great loss and has known the suffering that goes with it. Maybe he resents people because they don't even try. That's understandable given that you had so much taken away from you to pay for that priveledge of having the chance to make it. I don't think I'm going to stop screwing with you rooster, but I have a greater respect for where you're at even if I don't care for how you approach things. We have more in common than you know.

Hye john, what happened to those from abu graib, they were proseucuted uunder the uniform code of military justice. They are in prison. I've seen what is on liveleak. Some of it outrages me, obviously not how I would expect soldier representing me to behave. Some of it is ok. Like the say when the hit a vbied on a bridge. Generally i don't like gore. Even some of the vids say for example bluto did offend me a bit. But bluto is not the state or an active duty soldier. I would hope our leadership woud talk to the troops about control of information and how two or three guys acting badly can affect the battle for hearts and minds.
Now that said the propganda I'm speaking of is Islamic State of Iraq/MSC/al-Qaeda propganda. Approved and sponsored by the leadership thereof. They will condone the creator, not prosecute he/they. I know it's a challenge for you to comprehend subtle stuff like that but I can wait. I got nothing but time, nothing but time.

The Palestinians are destoying thier own children. There is no reason for this. No leftist-liberal can possibly justify this, when we have given them so much money, to help them develop themselves. uuuuuuummmmmm.......okay it says joos, I thought it said roos. Thank goodness, I thought there was a new aboriginal jihad afoot! It's too damn hard to keep up with all these jihads. Yeah Professor, that's why Israel has to kill them all or move to Wyoming.
Perhaps the worst thing these people have done is put the Israelites in a position where they have to devalue life as much as the enemy has devalued it's own just to kill them. The final solution unless dealt with once and for all? "We all must die because they must be killed!". Could that be the call from a mosque as the nuc goes off? Now you see perhaps my point and the fanatical call I presented it in. Being a nationalist does not make me a racist and being a bigot does not preclude me from being a humanist. Being a realist makes me possibly worse, but Israel has to come to terms with what it must do, even if it means killing part of it's own humanity.
Woo Hoo! Have a great day!!!!

If you were a Jew and your only choice for survival was them or us. What would you do? The Jews are being forced into a corner. Perhaps our interference has only postponed the inevitable. Then again 9/11 and other instances brought us into the mess. I believe the Jews are monitoring the Iran nuclear program very, very close. They took out the Iraqi program and the mad moolas of Iran are nuttier than Saddam. He was merely a cruel nutcase. They are cruel religious nutcases.

For someone who is so against entitlements and hand outs, you sure are cosy with the idea of Israel being the victim becuase of US involvement. Israel could of at anytime told us to shove our money up our ass, like the Mayor of New York did to the saudi scum prince ( yes I know mckinney begged for it, yes she is an idiot and yes she happens to be an idiot who is black, woo hoo 2 points for your side, not). And then gone on to do what needed to be done. But they have'nt had the courage. They don't pull their own weight because they don't stand on their own. Now here's something that will get everyone pissed and you know how much I worry about that. There was a story on Fox news, right after 9/11 about all the Israel spies that were going around selling art to home of some of the top people and building in our defense department. It was by Brit Hume and it was pulled the day after it ran, like a freaking ghost. Is it possible that there was some knowledge of what was going to take place that was not passed on to ensure that America would not withdraw support from Israel? We've gotten into world wars that way before. Or maybe I'm just telling you a bed time story Rooster.... But you are right about the mullas being the problem. Professor, you'll notice that I have never called for the destruction of Israel, in fact I have many times said that it would be better to give them a state here in the US. (I pick Wyoming because Wyoming is where my beloved Vice President Chenney is from) God love them as a people, as with any people, but as a nation, it hasn't worked. We sit perched on a third WW less than 60 years later and it's primarily fueled by a conflict that goes on in the middle east. Perhaps it was just too grandiose an idea to think that distantly located western powers could deligate borders on traditionaly tribal lands in a part of the world where that has never had sustainable results. If we are to be joined at the hip then let us be in the same land, but it will mean that the culture will have to assimialte and Judism ( zionism) will simply not allow that. That's one of the main reasons they have been driven from every land they lived in. Many great Americans happen to be jewish, but too few are jews that are Americans first.
When you do have children and may God bless them when you do, you will see that there will come a time when you will have to say, "I love you, I've done all I can for you now stand on your own. ".

Where we have our largest difference of opinion, is in that I regard Israel as our ally against islamofascism, and you regard them as a burden, and source of conflict. Muhammed made them a source of conflict. If they are not the reason, islam will invent another. I say hold the line in Israel, and everywhere else there is pressure. Praise God, and pass the ammunition to anyone on our side! Israel as much as anyone. USA, all the way!

They were in conflict long before mohamed Professor, and for pretty much the same reason. Zionism. The very idea that God would have a choosen people over any other group is simpily an elitist assumption. Not a subject that I am ready to banter on today. Catch me when I'm less drunk and more awake.
Your children will be fortunate to have you as a father to view them in that same light of unconditional love. But I disagree with that approach in dealing with nations.
Let me point out however that the wahabi was an ally when fighting the soviets and we passed them a great deal of ammunition, same thing with sadam and even the same thing with iran. china, russia .. So just because someone is shooting at someone you don't currently like does not make them a no matter what happens kind of friend. You have expressed your faith in other posts and I wonder if perhaps that is more of what you are basing this on.
So yes indeed, praise the Lord and pass the bullets as there are no athiests in a fox hole.

wb, Israel is our friend, and also our responsability, because we helped them live, when everyone around them wanted them dead. The best spent foreign aid we provide, goes to a fellow democracy, surrounded by tyrants. I don't care if they are Jews. I don't care if they are hated by the rest of the world. they are the good guys, and they are fighting for more than just a place to hang thier hat. They are fighting for thier freedom. I agree that it doesn't matter what religion they practice, I really could not care less as they have never gone on crusades other than retaking what they consider their homeland. And yes, given the circumstances in which they found themselves it seemed a prudent move. I don't know if you've ever had the opportunity to talk with someone from there about the reason why it's never resolved. While it's certainly not fair to judge a national policy based on the words of a few people ( much less ones that are willing to speak candidly with me, could you imagine rooster as a reference for a Ugandan diplomat? ) the one line that trails through them all was, there's always a reason it can't be done and when pressed on that single issue, it returned to the tired 'the US won't let us' line. I see our support as enabeling the status quo and that is what is causing humanity to fester because an issue that has to be dealt with sooner or later has been getting passed on and on and on until now mothers blow up the children in their wombs. Not confronting evil and not doing what needed to be done has set the stage for no acceptable answer. That is what I call for an end to as it now threatens America. Just my humble opinion.

A Palestinian youth threw stones at Israeli soldiers in Ramallah, West Bank, last week. Parents fear that the atmosphere of despair has destroyed their children's sense of hope.

It looks like the sun hitting the edge of his sweater to me. You can see a bit of the same thing on his left, up on the shoulder and just above where his right arm crosses his torso. It looks like that, because his face was in shadow, the brightness was cranked which tends to make properly lit areas glow like that.

It's a sling, but it has much coarser pixelation than the rest of the photo, when you open it in PhotoPaint. Extremely odd effect; looks like it was added later, from another picture, or even drawn in. Why?
6
We can now fake photo's so well that it is undetectable, but the MSM was caught doing it poorly- so we know they will do it again.
Regardless of any trickery with subject juxtaposition, look at his totally westernized attire. He should put down his slingshot and get back to work at the Gap.

Looks like the paleos are burning tires again. The MSM loves burning tires.
9
My impression is the same as Old Guy's. The tire by the pali's foot has the same "lit from behind" look. My question is what is on fire? I only see one object up front that looks a heck of a lot like a tire, but it is about the same size as the tire by the pali's foot. That would place this guy right against the flames, and certainly back lit, just not back lit in this color.
So I'm thinking that it isn't a tire fire. But what is it?

Not saying either way but I am pretty sure I have seen this photo of that kid before. Goofy elvis arab style like with the slingshot. Posted by: C-Low at March 13, 2007 04:49 PM (esMSg)
So the scene of this photo makes sense. I bet getting this sort of shot would be very easy for the photographer, so there isn't a NEED to fake this sort of photo. Weird issues may still be a sign of photo manipulation, but I would bet they are just remnants from "lighting enhancement" or clean-up efforts rather than "make more smoke" shenanigans.
Posted by: wooga at March 13, 2007 05:07 PM (t9sT5)

There is something odd about that picture. I'm more focused on the clarity of the sling and the wrinkles on his pants compared to the clarity of the background.
Posted by: haffee at March 13, 2007 05:39 PM (JQjo+)

The image appears to me to have been altered. However the sling, besides the pixilation and lighting issues, doesn't prove the scene wasn't real at all. Mostly I think we are stuck with it either being a lame job of trying to legitimately enhance the image clarity, or a pretty good, yet ultimately unecessary photoshop forgery. I'll just assume the origional shot was staged because so much pali stuff is.

Interesting. I can't tell if that photo has been significantly altered such that the scene is fake. It's definitely a posed though. It happened in Qalandia at the Israeli checkpoint, however, not in Ramallah.
As for the other photos in the slideshow, the first, of the girls at the University, that was taken Nov 20, 2006, as is the 2nd, 3rd, photo. The 4th, is close to accurate; it was a funeral procession on 21 Nov for the two militants killed in Gaza city the evening of 20 Nov. I wonder what was going on then (I haven't looked.)
Young Naima's photo is fairly accurate. Her sister blew herself up in an attack against Israeli troops earlier in November 2006. They have (had?) a nice house, btw.
The lowered flag caption is pretty accurate -- lots of editorializing.
I wonder how many of those four in the next one in the slideshow pictured dies while fighting and how many died suicide bombing. That's a 13 Feb '07 photo.
"Young Palestinians arrived at a Fatah Rally". Maybe it could have read "13 Feb 2007: Young Palestinians arrived at a Fatah Movement Rally, while in Gaza, Hamas and Fatah were fighting", but there is really no mention of that kind of fighting in the story.
How about this one for the boy with the prayer rug: "16 Feb 2007: A Palestinian boy holding his prayers' carpet outside the Al Haram A sharif (Al Aqsa Mosque compound) looks at Israeli security stationed at the Lions Gate. Only men and women above 50 years old were allowed to pray as Israeli police feared escalation in clashes over Temple Mount dig."
If ya think the stone thrower is a pose, what about the guy staring out the van. Is he longing to emigrate or thinking about his girlfriend?
Zubeidi's pictures hanging in his bedroom? His childhood friends, all dead, one as a suicide bomber, the rest fighting. He's the only one left of his group. Bet ya can't tell from the picture his face is disfigured from an explosion. It doesn't say how, but I doubt it was a grease fire while cooking.
Lucky little kid, not only is the guy a Palestinian security guard, he's a Fatah Presidential Security Guard, celebrating the 42 anniversary of the Fatah Movement. Nice sunny day 14 Feb 2007 was in Ramallah. I wonder who he feared more at the time, the Israelis or Hamas.
Isn't it amazing the NYT can tell this tragic Palestinian story without mentioning the plague Hamas has brought down on their heads and the internecine strife between Hamas and Fatah?

I blew the paleo pic up in ordinary adobe photoshop 3 and like everyone else feel it is most likely altered. The right tire hi-lite doesn't match the strong hight lite effect on the kids sling or lhis left side [our right]. The kid's right shoe and pant leg have somethin somethin goinin on too.
Isn't or shouldn't the high-light source on the kid's left side comming from back over the kid's left sholder along the sling line. Yet or But the sling and tire high-lite seems to orginating from up above and to the right of the paleo kid.

Judge Sends Lying Terror Supporter To Disney WorldUn. Effing. Believable.
Via IHT: CHICAGO: A federal judge in Illinois on Thursday approved a request for a trip to Disney World by a man who the government had once accused of aiding Palestinian militants, brushing aside prosecutors' claims that he may instead flee.
"I'm confident that he will come back," U.S. District Judge Amy J. St. Eve said in giving former Chicago grocer Muhammad Salah permission to make the trip to the Florida vacation spot....
..."I get to take it off," a smiling Salah told reporters after court, pointing to a bulge under his left sock where the government has placed an electronic monitoring bracelet to make sure he stays under house arrest.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph M. Ferguson opposed allowing Salah to take off the monitoring bracelet or make the trip.
"His word has been found worthless by a jury," Ferguson said.

Correct, I'd like to add that one refused to testify after being given immunity.
"The men, however, were convicted of lesser charges. Ashqar was
convicted of refusing to testify before a federal grand jury after
being granted immunity from prosecution while Salah was convicted of
lying under oath in a civil lawsuit. They are awaiting sentencing."

Lying under oath ?? Where have I heard that charge recently. Howie, who could have given a lifetime appointment as a Federal Judge to such a woman that so obiviously supports terrorists??
Of course she has confidence that he is coming back: he will probably be given probation anyway. A single conviction of lying under oath in a civil matter is not nearly as serious as,say, multiple convictions of lying to a Federal grand jury or to the FBI.

John, look at it this way ... Salah can take lots of pictures, and get good info on which parts of the Park will have the most potential for casualties. Of course I'm sure he would never pass any of it on when he leaves the country. Yes, you might have a point, but I'm having a hard time seeing it as valid. USA, all the way!

Too bad a judge can't be held liable for "comtempt of the public trust" or something. If this person doesn't come back, that judge should IMMEDIATELY face an impeachment hearing.

I disagree. They are convicted and awaiting sentencing. No appeal is pending. They are on bail without the presumption of innocence. Isn't that the point of criminal prosecution? You take away rights to afford correction? I'm sure he has certian rules to his probation. Should he not follow those rules? He has asked for and was granted an exception. This time is often allowed to "get your affairs in order". I would not qualify Disney World as part of that. Especially after their record of being less than co-operative during the process. Sure your kids will be older if and when you get to take them. But that's what you loose when you do a crime. I'm sure you would be against scooter on space mountian as part of "getting my affairs in order." Sure there are probably a lot of things he would like to do before he leaves. But that's just tough. At least that's what they'd tell me. And I don't care who appointed the judge. I'm more concerned with the judges performance. It's not like there is not stuff to do in Chitown.

I guess I need to deal with this. I hate commenting on the threads that just make me sad because I am much better off being angry. Sad is paralyzing, but angry takes action. Silly I guess. Boston IS one of my all time favorite bands, and I am really unhappy about this. The creativity and style was always awesome. They had to overcome a lot in just getting thier third album out, and thier story is often a blend of humor, heroism, and love for what they do, more than love of money. I think they absolutely nuked the Beatles, and if you disagree, just leave me in my grief. One of the best bands ever!

New Delhi, March 07: Two top nuclear scientists of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) are currently in Taliban custody. The two were working at PAEC’s facility in North West Frontier Province. Zee News investigations reveal that the two scientists were kidnapped about six months ago. To avoid international embarrassment Pakistan Government has kept this information under wraps.
According to information available with Zee News, nuclear scientists have been kidnapped by Taliban at the behest of Al-Qaeda. Further investigations reveal that Al-Qaeda may be using the expertise of the scientists to produce nuclear bombs. The two scientists are reportedly being held somewhere in Waziristan, near Afghanistan border...
... In January this year Pakistan security agencies had foiled another attempt by Taliban militia to kidnap nuclear scientists. Earlier, incidents of Taliban militia stealing uranium in NWFP have already been reported. PAEC also has a uranium mining facility in NWFP.
Once I was held captive in Kabul. I was the bride of a charming, seductive and Westernised Afghan Muslim whom I met at an American college. The purdah I experienced was relatively posh but the sequestered all-female life was not my cup of chai — nor was the male hostility to veiled, partly veiled and unveiled women in public.
When we landed in Kabul, an airport official smoothly confiscated my US passport. “Don’t worry, it’s just a formality,†my husband assured me. I never saw that passport again. I later learnt that this was routinely done to foreign wives — perhaps to make it impossible for them to leave. Overnight, my husband became a stranger.
Long before the rise of the Taleban, I learnt not to romanticise Third World countries or to confuse their hideous tyrants with liberators. I also learnt that sexual and religious apartheid in Muslim countries is indigenous and not the result of Western crimes — and that such “colourful tribal customs†are absolutely, not relatively, evil…
….Nevertheless, Western intellectual-ideologues, including feminists, have demonised me as a reactionary and racist “Islamophobe†for arguing that Islam, not Israel, is the largest practitioner of both sexual and religious apartheid in the world and that if Westerners do not stand up to this apartheid, morally, economically and militarily, we will not only have the blood of innocents on our hands; we will also be overrun by Sharia in the West.

Be careful or you may have to delete yourself for using mean names and sarcasm to get your point across. Or does that rule only apply to everone else but you? My original point was that it was foolhardy to even get in that situation to begin with. My next point had to do with my opinion that is was wrong to write a book about it to cash in on being ....dumb. But the real issue here is you and your power issue. And for the record, YOU are the one who is belittling women by pointing out that it is unmanly to go after someones idiotic behavior because they are female. So that means a woman can do something stupid but gets a free pass when she's called on it? Now, I will be the first to admit that I came down hard right from the start on your pal. But it wasn't because she was a woman and it wasn't so much because she made a mistake as it was her trying to cash in on it. She has the right to do that and I have the right to my opinion. Why can't you just let it go at that?
Because you seem to think with your other "thingy" when it comes to women. I think it's a bigger insult to go easy on a woman because they are a female even when being an asshole like me. But I don't pretend to be anything that I'm not....sith.

Darth Odie: The point was. It's stupid to marry a muslim. Regardless of why. People should know better by now. All one has to do is listen to the news. Sorry buddy, but this is a case of making your our bed. We all make mistakes. Life has taught me that you occasionally must pay for your mistakes. Feeling compassion for her. Yes. But not pointing out her mistake is wrong. Other women need to think before doing the same thing. This is a good example of why not to marry a muslim. And never, never go to a muslim country with them if you do. On occasion my kids do something stupid. I tell them it is a stupid thing to do. That is not disrespect. Another Bad Gay Taliban Captured
There is a reason the Taliban likes burqas. When they are running in fear from real soldiers, they like the way it feels silky against their bodies.
Reuters: KABUL- Afghan soldiers have captured a Taliban leader who tried to flee a security operation in the south dressed in a burqa, NATO said on Wednesday.
Tuesday's capture in Kandahar province came as NATO launched a major offensive in neighboring Helmand to secure a key hydroelectric dam and combat the opium trade.
The man was named as Mullah Mahmood and described as an expert bomb-maker. U.S.-led coalition forces also detained five more suspected militants in eastern Khost this week.
Another cross dressing Taliban leader? What a bunch of fags. Reports of a stain matching Adahm Gadahn's DNA on the burqa were unconfirmed.

US Military Charges Aussie Taliban
David Hicks is charged with providing material support for terrorism.
ABCNEWS: WASHINGTON Mar 1, 2007 (AP)— The Bush administration has filed charges against David Hicks, an Australian citizen suspected of aiding the Taliban in Afghanistan and the first terrorism-war era detainee to be charged by the Pentagon under new rules for military commissions.
The decision was made even though officials of Australia already had asked the United States not to bring such charges. Australia has been a steadfast ally to the Bush administration in its war on terrorism.
Hicks is a former kangaroo skinner captured in Afghanistan in December 2001. He has been held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, for more than five years without trial.
According to government officials and documents, the Defense Department will announce that Hicks is being charged with "providing material support for terrorism."...
...According to a Pentagon official, who asked not to be identified because the announcement had not been made, the military is expected to file charges soon against another nine detainees.
Once formal charges are filed, a timetable requires preliminary hearings within 30 days and the start of a jury trial within 120 days at Guantanamo Bay, where nearly 400 men are held on suspicion of links to al-Qaida or the Taliban.
He should be sentenced and then held as POW until hostilities with the Taliban cease. Too many people that were released, after signing a pledge not to re-enter the war, have turned up on the battlefield.
David Hicks’ Wiki entry here. I was struck by the claims of abuse. Remember rule #1 of the al-Qaeda/Taliban playbook is to claim abuse even if it did not happen. Real cases of abuse should be punished, but accusations of abuse are part of the enemy’s strategy so they must be investigated carefully.
Remember what the Taliban does to people they consider enemy’s of Islam. No trial, no holding them, just murder.
Hamas Attempts Extortion
Yes there is quite the buzz about Hamas’ meeting in Russia. The MSM is reporing it was all sunshine and lollipops. Not so visible is the threats and open attempt to extort money from the US.
IOL: Moscow - Hamas politburo leader Khaled Mashaal called Tuesday for "fundamental change" in the Quartet of Mideast peace brokers and warned of "open battle" with Israel and Islamic hatred toward the United States unless Washington resumes aid funding.
"The Arab and Islamic world need a fundamental change in the politics of the Quartet," Mashaal said of the group of Russia, the United States, the European Union and the United Nations, in remarks made during a Moscow visit and quoted by Interfax.
IHT: Mash'al, currently in Moscow where he has held talks with Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, told reporters he also planned to visit Tehran as part of his international tour.

I'm so sick of these parasites. These savages have a such unbelievably brazen sense of entitlement. As far as I'm concerned a good swift kick in the teeth is all that they are entitled too. Every time one of them visits the Mullacracy, the latter stuffs the former's pockets with money stolen from the Iranian people, people like the Tehran bus-drivers who got beaten up because they asked for their wages which they hadn't received in 8 months!

The jews have been chased out of every single place they have ever settled, it's not by accident. As long as they consider themselves seperate, they will be. And don't hand me the holocaust line of shit. Every fucking day for 50 years we have heard that mantra over and over and over and over about that. It's done... it's over..., allot more people died than just red sea pedestrians, get over it. Here's the thing, if you want to be your own nation, then stand on your own 2 feet. If you can't, then stop pissing everyone of by pulling us into your bullshit. Either kill all those fuckers and call it a day or learn how to start saying "howdy partner" in yiddish. The longer this shit goes on, the more other big players get involved. ( Read ... everyone goes boom) Iran is going to nuke Israel if they don't kick the shit out of them first.
