Bakri to Return to U.K.

The Blogfather, Charles Johnson, notes that Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed wants to come home from his exile in Beirut where he fled when the British government announced a crackdown on Islamist extremists. Ironical.

His group, al Mujahiroun is banned in England. And yes, it was me that got Bakri's followers at al Ghurabaa off the internet. I wonder if India considers that dangerous?

Unfortunately, The Saved Sect is still up, and still threatening the British people with violence if they don't stop waging war on terrorists.

British Muslims Mock 7/7 & 9/11 Victims, Support Terror. U.K./Birmingham Subsidizing (UPDATED/BUMPED)

Brooks-Izadeen-7-7-video3.jpgAllah now has the video up. It's truly sickening. In it, the speaker makes fun of Korean hostage Kim Sun-Il, murdered by Tawhid i Jihad (predecessor of al Qaeda) for begging for his life. The audience laughs.

They laugh at the beheading murder of a Korean tourist, then condemn terrorism.....the "terrorism of the British government".

I saw the video of Kim Sun-Il being murdered. Anyone who laughs at it, should be dead or in jail. I'm truly sickened.

--------------------

A new video of British Muslims at a 7/7 conference shows just how big a problem the West has with a fifth column of terror supporters among us. In the video, a Jamaican born immigrant named Trevor Brooks--introduced as Abu Izadeen-- takes the microphone and goes off on an hour-long rant about how Britain can avoid another 7/7 attack.

Although the video has been taken down from the website run by British followers of Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed, thanks to Dominic Whiteman and other members (who wish to remain anonymos at this time) from a secret London based organization called Vigil, The Jawa Report has obtained a copy of the video. Video can be seen here.

The video is shot at a Birmingham community center on July 2, 2006. The video was released on the internet on 7/7, in order to coincide with the anniversary of the London bombings. Interestingly enough, The Jawa Report had previously tracked down followers of the now exiled radical cleric Omar Bakri Muhammed to The Birmingham Grid for Learning, which is owned and operated by the City of Birmingham.

Does the City of Birmingham know that its public facilities are being used by members of The Saved Sect, al Ghurabaa, the Society of Muslim Lawyers, and other spin-off groups from the now banned al Mujahiroun group to spread hate, extremism, and support for terrorism?

You may remember these British Islamists from their website (which we archived since they deny it) and subsequent protest in which they called for 'death to all those who insult Mohammed'.

Despite a few arrests and the forced exile of their leader Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed to Lebanon, Tony Blair's government has not followed through with promises made to shut down this network of radical Islamists.

In an interview over the weekend, Bakri presented himself as a spokesman for the World Islamic Front for Jihad Against Jews and Crusaders, headed by Osama Bin Laden. He warned that, ""the day will come that the flag of Islam will fly over the Big Ben and the British Parliament." more...

Selling Israeli Products is "Treachery" to Muslim Group

The Muslim Public Affairs Committee of the UK has declared that any Muslim company which sells Israeli products is "treacherously supporting Israel". And thus we how Muslims cajole and harass any and all who do not toe the "Israel is evil" party line.

Two Charged over Mohammed Cartoon Protest

These two arrests are not new arrests, as is being reported elsewhere. These two were among five protesters previously arrested for making various death threats at a protest in front of the Danish embassy over the Mohammed cartoons.

The specifics of the present charges seem to be that the pair violated the terms of their bail by leaving London. They were arrested at Stansted airport, which is part of London's regional network of airports. Stansted has a number of international flights (I will be flying out of Stansted in a couple of weeks to Dublin) including flights to North Africa. It is possible that the two were trying to flee the country.

BBC:

The former UK head of radical Islamic group al-Muhajiroun has been charged over the Muslim cartoon protests in London in February, said Scotland Yard.

Anjem Choudary, 39, of Ilford, Essex, was bailed after being charged with organising the protest without notifying the police.

Abdul Muhid, 23, of East London, was charged with two counts of soliciting to murder. He was remanded in custody.

Hat tip Michelle Malkin and the Blogfather Charles Johnson, both of whom have more.

Al Qaeda Fundraiser Visits Parliament

I plan on visiting Parliament in May. I hope this guy isn't around. Apparently Mahmoud Suliman Ahmed Abu Rideh was out of jail, living at the British equivalent of a half-way house. He met up with a member of the House of Lords at a local mosque, who was more than willing to help him get into Parliament. The al Qaeda fundraiser actively lobbies against British anti-terrorism laws which he calls 'unjust'. Which is funny, since I just watched an old episode of South Park last night in which the leader of NAMBLA decried putting child-molesters in jail as 'discriminatory'.

The Sun via Charles Johnson:

A TERROR suspect allegedly linked to al Qaeda has visited the Houses of Parliament — as the guest of a Labour peer.

Former detainee Mahmoud Suliman Ahmed Abu Rideh even sat in the Commons public gallery for a debate.

He was invited to Westminster on Tuesday by Lord Ahmed, who met him at Regent’s Park mosque three weeks ago. The father of five — suspected of being a money man for terror groups — was given a SECURITY sticker for his Parliamentary visit. And he boasted yesterday of sitting in the Commons gallery, adding: “It was very interesting.”

Arrests Made in London Muhammed Cartoon Protests

Police in London have finally made some arrests in the now infamous protests at the Danish embassy in which Muslims threatened to behead those who insulted Islam. A) What took so freaking long? B) What about the hundreds of others at the protest? UPI:

Five men were arrested Wednesday over their alleged role in a London protest during which some demonstrators urged the murder of those who insult Islam.

The men were seized on suspicion of incitement to violence and incitement to murder, and taken to police stations in London and Birmingham for questioning.

The demonstrations, held outside the Danish Embassy in London on Feb. 3 and 4, were in protest of the publication of satirical cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed in a Danish newspaper. The images, which included one of the Prophet wearing a bomb-shaped turban, sparked outcry across the Muslim world, particularly after they were republished by newspapers in several European countries.

Some demonstrators in London waved placards calling for the "beheading" or "massacre" of those who insult Islam, while other placards appeared to call for a repeat of the July 7 bombings which killed 52 people.

Jurist:
The arrests follow weeks of investigation by a special law enforcement team set up by the London Metropolitan Police called Operation Laverda, which collected video, audio, photographs and other evidence of protestors. During the protests, demonstrators displayed placards threatening terrorist attacks like those on September 11th and July 7th, as well as the "massacre" of people who insult Islam....

Police charged four of the suspects with incitement to murder, and held all five on charges of "using threatening words or written material to stir up racial hatred."

UPDATE: The Blogfather has video of the protest up.

Abu Hamza Videos: "Allah is Happy When the Kafir (Unbeliever) is Killed"

Glen Jenvey is the guy most responsible for putting Abu Hamza behind bars. He has released a series of video of Hamza's sermons. Worth the watch.

Here's a highlight where Hamza condemns Saudi clerics for being too sympathetic to America after 9/11:

These big belly sheiks, they are crying their tears and they calling the brothers terrorists, And they send the victims about, the prostitutes of the World Trade Center, the controller of, of the usury, central usury banks, are controlled by these World Trade Centers, the plot of, against Muslims and they going against the whole plan to the Pentagon, and they cry and said they are innocent....

Now, the government is an agent for the Russians and for the Americans, and for Europe and for anybody except Islam. Why they don't open their mouth? May Allah seal their mouths with fire, say Amen [crowd answers Amen] Allahu Akbar.

Hamza on the example of Muhammed. Modern jihadis could learn from Muhammed's example. After a long day of killing the infidels, Muhammed would come home to his 9 year old wife and help with cooking and cleaning. Not like the modern jihadi who won't even change a diaper, let alone clean up the mess left by his latest beheading victim:
We have to be soldiers to Allah, [?] He was doing jihad, he was looking after his family, he was sewing his own clothes he was takening revelations, he was doing dawa, everything at the same time, these are obligations.
And my favorite:
Allah is happy when the Kafir (unbeliever) is killed

Are British Conservatives Weak on Terror?

Wow, I never thought I'd be criticizing the Tories for being weak on terrorism. To their eternal shame they voted against Labour's proposal to outlaw the glorification of terrorism. The opposition claimed that the new law was not needed. But as Robert Spencer rightly points out, "If the existing laws were adequate to the problem, why did Abu Hamza preach unhindered for seven years?" Indeed.

This is not Thatcher's Conservative Party.

Danish Cartoon Protester Sent to Prison in UK

Omar_Khayam_at_london_protest_over_danish_cartoons_dressed_as_suicide_bomber.jpgDoes it surprise anybody that one of the protesters in London that showed up in front of the Danish embassy turned out to be a convicted drug dealer? Omar Khayam is pictured here dressed as a suicide bomber at the now infamous protest in which signs were painted with slogans such as "behead those that insult islam" and "slay those that insult Islam".

British prisons, like their American counterparts, are rife with Islamic extremism. Prisons serve as an ideal recruiting ground for Islamists and jihadis who help 'turn around' the lives of criminals only to direct the convert's energies towards helping build the ummah and creating the ideal Islamic state where future criminals, convicted of the same crimes, can look forward to such punishments as beheading, stoning, and lashings.

Via Jihad Watch this BBC article:

A demonstrator who imitated a suicide bomber in a Muslim protest over cartoons satirising the Prophet Muhammad has been recalled to prison.

Omar Khayam, 22, of Bedford, is a convicted drug dealer who was jailed in 2002 and released on licence last year after serving half his sentence.

He was arrested and recalled to prison for breaching the terms of his licence.

Khayam apologised for his "insensitive" protest on Monday but said he had been offended by the cartoons.

Usually I react to being offended by binging on fast food and ice cream. But, maybe its just a cultural difference.

Omar Bakri Mohammed: "Cartoonists Should Be Executed"

It is no surprise that these words should come from radical exiled cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed. Why no surprise? Because the now infamous rally outside of Denmark's embassy in London--where signs calling for cartoon blasphemers to be beheaded were seen--was staged by al Ghurabaa. This is the group that had previously posted on their website that all those who blaspheme Muhammed should be executed. As we reported here, al Ghurabaa is composed of followers of Omar Bakri Mohammed.

Telegraph:

“The insult has been established now by everybody, Muslim and non-Muslim, and everybody condemns the cartoonist and condemns the cartoon,” he told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. “However, in Islam, God said, and the messenger Mohammed said, whoever insults a prophet, he must be punished and executed. This man should be put on trial and if it is proven to be executed.”

The cleric said Muslims in Britain were not allowed to kill people who insulted Islam because it was against the law of the country.

“We are not saying ourselves to go there and start to look to him and kill him, we are not talking about that. We are talking about Islamic rules. If anybody insults the prophet, he will have to take a punishment.”

He said if countries refused to put people on trial for insulting Mohammed they must “face the consequences”.

So, Omar Bakri Mohammed is making the same arguement I have been making. That the individual Muslim is not necessarily a threat--he is not calling for individual Muslims to kill blasphemers--but rather that when Muslims take over a country and institute sharia law, after you have been convicted of blasphemy in a court of law, off with your head. Thus, the ideology of Islam is what is the larger threat.

Of course, this is a radical version of sharia. But are you comfortable with a moderate version of sharia which might fine you for blasphemy?

Seven to be Deported from Britain Named

The British government has announced the impending deportation of seven foreign nationals. The men were arrested in a nation-wide terror crackdown. No names were mentioned--possibly because of British laws restricting certain press freedoms in legal matters--but it is almost certain that the seven to be deported were those accused of plotting to use WMD against civilians in the U.K.

The plot was said to have used ricin, cyanide, botulinum and other explosives to cause mass casualties in that country. Eight men were later arrested in the plot. Charges were eventually dropped against four, and four others were later acquitted. One man, the Algerian born Kamel Bourgass, was convicted and sentenced to life.

The seven men to be deported were all connected through London's radical Finsbury Mosque. Some media are now claiming that all seven to be deported are Algerian, thus Khalid Alwerfeli is the only one of the accused plotters who doesn't face imminet deportation:

Samir Asli--Algerian
Khalid Alwerfeli--Libyan
Mouloud Bouhrama--Algerian
Mouloud Sihali--Algerian
Sidali Feddag--Algerian
David Khalef--Algerian (convicted terrorist in Algeria, but has assylum)
Mustapha Taleb--Algerian
Kamel Merzoug--said to be Algerian (Entered UK on false passport)

Guardian:

Britain on Thursday ordered the deportations of seven men detained as threats to national security, including some accused in a terrorist plot to spread the poison ricin.

The men were being held in London and Manchester under the government's powers to deport people ``whose presence in the U.K. is not conducive to the public good for reasons of national security,'' the Home Office said.

It's time the US started deporting radical Muslims, too. As non-citizens, they have no 'right' to be here. They are our guests and have overstayed their welcom. Please e-mail if you have any further details.

Omar Bakri Arrested in Lebanon

Omar Bakri, the radical British imam who fled that country on news that he was top on the list of pro-terror clerics to face treason charges, has been arrested in Lebanon. The Independent:

The Islamic extremist cleric who fled Britain at the weekend, Omar Bakri Mohammed, was arrested by security forces in Beirut today.

Lebanese security officials refused to say when and where Bakri was arrested.

Prosecutors and police in Britain are considering whether to bring terror-related charges against the so-called "Tottenham Ayatollah".

It was unclear whether the arrest was linked with his activities in the UK.

Evan Kohlmann of the Counterterrorism blog notes that in an interview he once had with Bakri, the cleric had issued a threat that if he was ever arrested there might be violent consequences. He also notes, though, that Bakri was under the impression at the time that the British would never have the backbone to arrest him. I guess times have changed, eh?

'Vilified' Muslim Cleric Cheers on Tube Bombers

Get out the duct tape, kids...

And this guy lives in London?!

LONDON (Reuters) - Militant Islamists will continue to attack Britain until the government pulls its troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, one of the country's most outspoken Islamic clerics said on Friday.

Speaking 15 days after bombers killed over 50 people in London and a day after a series of failed attacks on the city's transport network, Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed said the British capital should expect more violence.

"What happened yesterday confirmed that as long as the cause and the root problem is still there ... we will see the same effect we saw on July 7," Bakri said.

I love how he takes adavantage of a FAILED bombing to threaten that similiar incidents will occur until the Brits pull out of Iraq.

Bakri, a Syrian-born cleric who has been vilified in Britain since 2001 when he praised the September 11 hijackers, said he did not believe the bombings and attempted attacks on London were carried out by British Muslims.

He condemned the killing of all innocent civilians but described attacks on British and U.S. troops in Muslim countries as "pro-life" and justified.

He's been vilified? Awww. I feel so sorry for him. I mean, he only justified mass murder while living in the place where the mass murder occured. It's kind of like walking into a black church and justifying the KKK.

In an interview with Reuters, Bakri described Osama bin Laden, leader of the radical Islamist network al Qaeda, as "a sincere man who fights against evil forces."

Bakri said he would like Britain to become an Islamic state but feared he would be deported before his dream was realized.

"I would like to see the Islamic flag fly, not only over number 10 Downing Street, but over the whole world," he said.

That is a dare, my friends. Deportation? You'd better believe it. If Tony Blair has an ounce of courage, he'll deport this guy for treason. Let him put his money where his mouth is right alongside his terrorist homies in the Middle East.

7/7 bombing investigation

Ussneverdock has some really good stuff on the investigation into the 7/7 London bombings.

Haroon Rashid Aswat has emerged as the figure that Scotland Yard have been hunting since he flew out of Britain just hours before the attacks which killed 56 people.
Aswat, 30, who is believed to come from the same West Yorkshire town as one of the bombers, arrived in Britain a fortnight before the attacks to orchestrate final planning for the atrocity. He spoke to the suicide team on his mobile phone a few hours before the four men blew themselves up and killed fifty-two other people

Good stuff man. Some of the information is circumstantial but that would not stop Greg would it.

Also dont forget to check out Michelle's posts today. She has in depth coverage of today's bombings as well as a good link to a greenpeace video that is well you just have to see it. Plus she's easy on the eyes.

Not to be outdone, the IRA bombs London

Purely speculation, but as long as my wife is down for a nap with the baby on this sultry summer day, let me go ahead and speculate.

This could be a botched terror bombing, but it seems more likely that this was either an amateur copy-cat bombing by more of your friendly neighborhood ROPers....

or, maybe.....

The fact that only one person is injured. Again, pure speculation, but doesn't this seem more like the work of the IRA or one of its offshoots like The Real IRA? When the ROP strikes they are going for casualties, but when the IRA strikes it is political theater. Most of the time, the IRA is looking to do plenty of property damage with as few injuries as possible.

Plus, militant Irish Republicans aren't looking to meet 72 virgins in the afterlife. The bombers, from what I am hearing on TV, ran away.

Just a thought. I'm probably wrong. Ok, back to vacation.

UPDATE: Like I said, I'm probably wrong. This is a blog, remember?

More News From London

Fox:

Sky News TV reported that police were searching for a man with a blue shirt with wires protruding. Officers asked employees to look for a black or Asian male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, wearing a blue top with a hole in the back and wires protruding.

Scotland Yard said there have been two arrests, one at Downing Street and one at greater Scotland Yard, but officials are stressing the arrests may not be related. There will be a police briefing at 12:30 p.m. EDT.

Also:
There was also an incident at 10 Downing Street, where the British prime minister's offices are located. Two police officers trained their guns on a man before leading him off the premises; his shirt was unbuttoned in the front.
Suggestions are being made that this may be a "copycat" style incident.

Yup, just another isolated incident.

Four minor explosions reported in London

Sketchy reports are coming in from London that several minor blast have occured one on a bus and the rest in outlying areas of the London tube system. The BBC is reporting the exposions were detonators only and lack the exposives needed to cause heavy damage. However there was some panic and there are reports of people being trampled trying to evacuate. Also reports of men threatening to blow themselves up and one man reported running from one of the trains just after the like I said minor explosion. The windows on the upper deck of one bus were blown out. Some lines have been closed. This attack came about midday in London. This is a developing story. Guest posters feel free to update this thread I will check back about 12:00 cdt. Also so far one minor injury had been reported.

Also see this story from sky news which has some more details including that police were also using chemical protection suits. It's not known at this time if that was just a precaution or if there was some other reason. I'm sure as the day goes by we will have a better idea of what has occured in London. My support goes out to all Brits.

Update:

An initial chemical search of all four sites has proved negative sky news is reporting.

The BBC reports that:

"Tests for chemical, biological and radiological weapons proved negative".
