Sandcrawler PSA: Can We Panic Yet?

Are you in the UK? Have you seen any of these men?

Lamine-Adam-Cerie-Bullivant-Ibrahim Adam.jpg
Lamine Adam, 26, his brother Ibrahim, 20 and Cerie Bullivant, 24

If so report them immediately to the British Counter Terrorism Hotline at 0800 789 321.

These are three of the seven terrorist suspects who are fugitives in Britain after walking away from so called control orders. If anyone has images of the other four suspects, please email them to us and we'll post them here.

These missing men are being hidden and sheltered by someone. I seriously doubt they are attempting to leave Britain. They pose a serious threat to people and property.

I cannot stress enough the importance of recapturing these men. Today's attempted car bombing in London underlines how critical this issue has become. British laws designed to protect people from over-zealous prosecution by the state are putting people's lives in danger.

The seventh of the seventeen terror suspects under control orders escaped monitoring on the 22nd of June.

Via The Telegraph: The Government's system of control orders for monitoring terror suspects was further undermined today after it emerged that yet another has disappeared.

In a statement to Parliament, the police minister, Tony McNulty, said the unidentified man, understood to be an Iraqi, had not been seen since Monday night.

He had been on the control order since November 2005. He is the seventh of 17 men supposedly being monitored under the controversial system to go on the run....

....The Home Office, which imposes control orders on the advice of the security service, refused to say whether he was one of six Iraqis arrested in 2005 in what was believed to be the final stages of a plot to explode car bombs in the UK.

The Home Secretary was forced by the courts to water down the conditions of their orders, which came close to house arrest.

The statement by British authorities that there is no intelligence about an imminent attack is obviously false. This story is one of several bits of info I have, some we cannot share at this time, that this is not the case.

I don't think these men are headed to Iraq, as some have speculated. I feel today's attempted car bombing confirms my suspicion that they now intend to execute their Jihad in the UK itself.

Update: I'm effing serious about this.

Update II: I'm not kidding, I swear.

British police have a "crystal clear" picture of the man who drove the bomb-rigged silver Mercedes outside a London nightclub, and officials tell the Blotter on ABCNews.com he bears "a close resemblance" to a man arrested by police in connection with another bomb plot but released for lack of evidence.
Hot Air has more updates on today's attempted bombings here.

Update III: Yup. Toldya so....

Nightclubs across Britain were warned they could be terrorist targets just weeks before a double car bomb attack in London, The Times has learnt.

A 53-page document alerting businesses to the threat posed by VBIEDs — vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices — was issued by police...

3 We've all gone to far in protecting freedoms and rights of those who would take our freedoms and rights. Time to get down with these muslims dogs. Not right to leave our children and grandchildren this legacy. Time for the average Joe to take to the streets and spread some fear among the muslim trash.

4 Howie,

I guess this is why they commonly call you guys "ditto-heads."  You like to rehash Limbaugh talking points without any dissenting views.

Why are you so afraid of alternate points of view?  Conservatism was never this close minded before the arrival of the neocons (ie: the former Marxists).

Posted by: Bo at June 29, 2007 03:44 PM (rMxJF)

5 I have tolerated dozens if not hundreds of your alternate views.  Your suggestion that we bow to the terrorists demands is duly noted. I'm just not in the mood for it today and if you don't like it then GFYS

Posted by: Howie at June 29, 2007 03:53 PM (YHZAl)

6 Howie,

I advocate NOT acting the way terrorists want us to act. I advocate NOT playing by their rules and acting in the ways they expect us to act. Most of all I advocate not giving them the satisfaction of morally and fiscally bankrupting our nation.

I believe right now they would like nothing more than for us to continue to occupy Iraq. They know that eventually they can bleed us dry...weaken us, demoralize us, turn us against one another....

Posted by: Bo at June 29, 2007 04:02 PM (rMxJF)

7 Only if you allow them to. Take your own advice and stand firm.  It is not that I don't understand the moral stand of taking a punch or two.  But affter a while you begin to look stupid rather than tough or brave. At some point you have to extract a cost from your opponent.  We already stood and took enough.  It's time to change the equation of terror to make the costs of using it unacceptable.

I can see that Bo has no faith in what this country can do.  He thinks we're broken and on our last leg.  We have not even tried that hard.  We have rationed a singe item, we have not yet drafted a singele man, commandeered a single factrory. We have not even come close to spending what we are capable of in treasure or effort.

Posted by: Howie at June 29, 2007 04:27 PM (YHZAl)

8 The irony that Bo's talking points are exactly how the terrorists expect and want his ilk to feel:
'run away - redeploy to okinawa'
while telling us not to act like the terrorists want us to is totally lost on him.

9 Davec,

Reasoning is obviously not one of your strong suits.

There are limits to American influence and power.  As soon as you accept this FACT then perhaps we can move on to discuss how the enemy understands this very well and is exploiting it magnificently.  People like yourself who blindly support the war make it easy for them to do so.  They are counting on you to behave exactly like you are (too arrogant to admit defeat and do the smart thing - pull back and regroup).

What exactly is your strategy for winning by the way?  I'd like to hear it.

Posted by: Bo at June 29, 2007 07:16 PM (euN4c)

10 Howie,

What cost are we extracting from them?

We have spent close to a trillion dollars on this war so far, killed how many innocent Iraquies, isolated ourselves internationally, and what exactly do we have to show for it?  Are we close to victory (if you can even define such a thing)?

Truth be told, if this really was as serious a threat to our national security as the peddlers of fear are saying, then how exactly are we supposed to accept that it can be won on an over-stretched and tired volunteer army?  Thus I have to conclude that this is just pure bullshit.  WE ARE FIGHTING A LOSING BATTLE SIMPLY TO PROTECT GEORGE BUSH'S DELICATE EGO and pass this mess on to the next president.

Posted by: Bo at June 29, 2007 07:22 PM (euN4c)

11 Bo,
Like I'd waste time answering you, you wouldn't even understand it anyway. keep up with the talking points.

Posted by: davec at June 29, 2007 07:46 PM (kcDpP)

12 Davec,

Let me take a wild guess at your take on things:

Today's hysteria about the car bombs in London is a fantastic example of the infinitely malleable and demogogic "Al Qaeda" designation. I'll put it in simple, pseudo-syllogistic terms.

abject corporeal fear = 9/11© = bin Laden = Al Qaeda

Al Qaeda = insurgency in Iraq

Place above ingredients in a bowl and blend with pants-wetting hypotheticals of what-maybe-in-our-imaginations-could-be-possible + a belief that the US military is invincible, and what you have is society beset literally on all sides by a monolithic mass of swarthy terrists, vaguely all responsible for 9/11©, collectively and from a distance forming a pointillist image of a sneering Osama bin Laden.

Cue visceral craving for strongman leader to calm our trembling fear of our own coddled imaginations.

Posted by: Bo at June 29, 2007 08:42 PM (euN4c)

13 No Bo the point is, most likely we had these peple in custoday and the failure to recognize al-Qaeda, no matter how stupid their dupes, is an insurgent organization with the goal of becoming a state.

This organization with ambitions of statehood has declared war on the US and Britain. They are POW's pure and simple. Thay can and should be, under international law, held until hostilties cease or a prisoner trade is negotiated with the opposing partys.

#1 We had them and allowed them to escape and try to kill people.

#2 Where is the screaming over the prisoners Hamas and Hezbollah are holding?

#3 We never were invincible.  Not in WWI not in WWII, never never never. We won because we were too damn stubborn or stupid to quit.  Damn good thing we didn't!

#4 We were damn lucky these guys failed. Allah wasn't willing today.....

14 Will someone please post Bo's email or IP information so that we can shut this troll down?

Posted by: Conservative Voice at June 29, 2007 09:16 PM (b0FZu)

15 Dear Voice,

Who you calling a troll?

Posted by: Bo at June 29, 2007 09:31 PM (euN4c)

16 No. We will post his IP or email. He can if he wants to.

Posted by: Howie at June 29, 2007 09:36 PM (YHZAl)

17 I don't disagree with Bo, that our economic war strategy is out too lunch.  On the one had al-Qaeda wants to bankrupt us, but we're growing our economy and doing firly well at the moment. They are failing.
But the world economy is also growing and the ME economy is growing and that helps finance people who yuo know, want to kill us.  Might have to get over our greed for 5 minutes to win. Wouldn't take long to starve em to the point where they are more worried about whats's for dinner than Death to America. If you really intend to fight war on all fronts, diplomatic, military and economic. To win ya gotta go around fucking shit up. It's just the way things are.

Posted by: Howie at June 29, 2007 09:38 PM (YHZAl)

18 Get off the "panic", "fear", or whatever scared term I hear lots of commentators using.

"British laws designed to protect people from over-zealous prosecution by the state are putting people's lives in danger."

I disagree.  Governments only seem able to do one thing, fuck up.  Some bureaucrat is the most likely breakdown, regardless of what the laws are.  Vigilance is a stronger tool.

Govt's can't get it right on defense EVERY SINGLE TIME- that is why we must stay on offense.  This also allows us to keep our civil liberties.

Look at the threats.  The terrorists can't destroy us (they can bloody our noses from time to time, but that is made harder by our kick-ass offense).  Only us can destroy us. Us is the nations of freemen living under self-governing rule of law... we must not secure ourselves to death.

Look at the souther border, wide open for years... Our offense is working.

Posted by: QC at June 29, 2007 09:39 PM (oMkSt)

19 Howie,
What do you mean by "economic war strategy"?
"When you ride alone you ride with Bin Laden"... Bill Maher? That stuff? You wanna cuddle up with Ragnar in his hybrid?
Only about 11-12% of our oil comes from the Middle East. Even if we stopped buying from them, it would not hurt them. They would have plenty of customers, including one big yellow one.
Even more important than not buying oil... stop sending foreign aid to these third world rat-holes (Egypt, Pakistan, etc) and subsiding their defense (Turkey). Attack any countries that fuck with us.
I agree with QC that the best defense is an aggressive offense.

Posted by: Conservative Voice at June 29, 2007 09:48 PM (b0FZu)

20 Err, I think the bureaucrat was a judge in this case....

"Governments only seem able to do one thing, fuck up"

well said.

I dont' want to secure ourselved to death.  But letting these schmucks go, that's the fuck up here! And a few other things I can think of.

Posted by: Howie at June 29, 2007 09:51 PM (YHZAl)

21 If a guy comes up and bloodies my nose once.  Ok, twice Ok but this is getting old, when he starts doing it every saturday night, it's time to break his jaw for him.

Posted by: Howie at June 29, 2007 09:52 PM (YHZAl)

22 Here is a speech by a moron who says that "65% of our oil is imported from the Middle East".

This fool from Illinois and the liar Gore proove that Democrats cannot be trusted.

Posted by: Conservative Voice at June 29, 2007 10:10 PM (b0FZu)

23 QC:  I agree only we can destroy us.  That is why it is important to stay true to our core principles:  freedom and maximum liberty.  But most of all we must maitain our moral superiortity.  That is why it is important that we restore habeus corpus and respect the Geneva Conventions.  If we stray from that we become more like them (more like the USSR).

Howie:  I also agree that we need to pursue these people to the end of the earth.  HOWEVER, I also firmly believe that the only thing that the Iraq occupation is doing is generating more terrorists.  No chance of democracy working here for quite some time (fundamentally against the religious dogma of their society - for now).  This is why I am for strategic redeployment.  I am 100% in agreement with Murtha on this one.  We cannot sustain this occupation indefinately.  Doing so only creates a dependency on us to police this mess - they become a military welfare state - it will never end.  This means announcing a timetable for withdrawl, no matter how uncomfortable it feels.

The oil dependency on the Middle East is something that keeps us from making proper choices with respect to foreign policy.  It also means that American dollars will continue to prop up these corrupt arab regimes. Time to perhaps ramp up the pressure on Detroit to seriously take us off the combustion engine.  Won't be easy, but I see no other way.

Posted by: Bo at June 29, 2007 10:32 PM (euN4c)

24 "The oil dependency on the Middle East" is over-rated. Bo recycles talking points from the Huff Post...

Posted by: Conservative Voice at June 29, 2007 10:44 PM (b0FZu)

25 Bo, I agree with you, but...

I think it is the obligation of the executive branch to push the boundaries of legality in doing what it considers effective in defending our freedoms.

If Dubya breaks the law by sniffing every phone call between the US and Pakistan, too fuckin bad.  It should sure as hell be against the law, but he should do it the fuck anyway.  If he doesn't it creates a power vacuum.  The phone companies have the capability to record/digitally monitor every call, but we play pretend that they never would do that.  It can be done, it seems like a damn good way to catch terrorists, lets do it.

It should not be under a legal structure, because that would only lead to the growth of more government.  TONS more government, it would grow to be used on deadbeat dads, "for the children".  It needs to be fuckin black ops and grey legality because it needs to be fuckin black ops and grey legality.

Posted by: QC at June 29, 2007 10:59 PM (oMkSt)

26 Who do you think works at the local Pakistan teleco?  They sure as hell can hook computers up and sniff things.

Posted by: QC at June 29, 2007 11:01 PM (oMkSt)

27 The messy days are coming folks. It is only a matter of time before some fuckwad muslim decides to park a car full of explosive material next to a mall, or some other crowded place. The question you need to ask yourself is... When that time comes, what am I going to do? Will you put on a ratty old pair of shoes and go get dirty, or will you stay inside and complain because things aren't the way you'd wished they'd be?

You know something. Fuck it, call me a racist, I don't care. I am sick and tired of muslims. I'm sick of their religion. I'm sick of the way they want to treat women. I'm sick of seeing each one of these assholes in their dirty fucking robes. I'm sick of their pussy little girl way of fighting. I tired of all their fucking YELLING. I'm fed up with the allluoh akbar bullshit, or what ever the fuck they say. I'm sick of these fucking people adding nothing to society. I'm pissed that they feel that their fucking religion is above the law of the country that has taken them in. I'm tired of these fuckers expecting, FUCKING EXPECTING, us to change our way of life to accomodate them. Fuck them, our country, our laws. You want a drivers license, take off the bee keeper suit. I'm sick of the muslim fucks in this country being a muslim first and an American somewhere from 2nd on down. In the best of times and the worst of times I'm an American first. I'm not a catholic first, I'm not a mormon first, I'm not a muslim first, I'm not an atheist first, I'm an American first.

I have a feeling that a day in the future will put the American people at a very important crossroads. You'd think 9/11 would have been that day, but I guess it'll have to be something worse than that, and that is a God damn shame. God forbid that day ever happens, but if it does, those of us that want to fight this battle the way it needs to be fought should be allowed to. The others that want to sit back and complain just need to keep their feelings to themselves.

29 Heh, I was just reading that Scotsman article on the hunt for the suspects.  It says the other four missing assholes can't be identified to the public for, "legal reasons".  You have got to be fucking kidding me. What legal reason, to hamstring the  public. To cover up the utter failure of the of government.

Bo please tell me how my policy proposal regarding these men as POWs in any way violates the Geneva conventions?  Think it fits right in there.

I'm not sure we need black ops and grey legality.  I think a lot fo the anxiety over the financial and communication monitoring comes from a lack of understanding about how these programs worked before and after the patriot act. I have some knowlege of how they work and I can tell you the patriot act is rather spurious and unnecessary.  Needs a sundown date too.  Not that I'm worried at all about it's use against terrorists, its what comes later....when we turn it on oursleves.

Posted by: Howie at June 30, 2007 12:22 PM (YHZAl)

30 Here's the link for those of you who want to read it.  Not much new besides the fact they are protecting the identity of the terrorist, because they are stupid? I dunno.

Conservative voice: Dickhead. This is the Jawa Report not the Peoples Republic of North Korea. Banning others opinions is what they do. Socialist prick. I'd take Bo over your cowardly little ass anyday. Never heard him cry mommy ask request someone to be banned. How about publishing your address so I pay you a visit?

34 Bo: " You are fighting a losing battle to protect George Bush's ego" Aren't the Democrats in charge of both houses? We must be staying in Iraq to protect Nancy Pelosi's ego.

Posted by: Greyrooster at June 30, 2007 03:49 PM (J67jn)

35 Greyrooster,

The Democrats lack any sort of unity.  Like herding cats.  They have far too many agendas making it impossible for them to agree on anything.  That's my impression anyway.

Posted by: Bo at June 30, 2007 08:16 PM (euN4c)

36 Goot point.  Maybe we sound like dittoheads becuae there is only one correct answer.  Unlike where you get praise for the diversity and creativity of 1000 wrong answers.

Posted by: Howie at June 30, 2007 10:28 PM (YHZAl)

37

AND THAT'S WHY YOU GO REPUBLICAN. At least they are orgainized. Money seems to do that very thing. Democrats don't make decisions . They merely 2nd guess those that do. If you make decisions you will make mistakes. Like Conservative Voice's mommy decided to have a kid. She made a mistake when she went to the ghetto to get knocked up. I mean look at the piece of shit she got.
