EU Considers Mandatory E-Mail, Internet, Phone Logs

The European Union is considering a plan which would force telecommunications companies to log and store all e-mail, internet, and mobile phone calls for one year. The plan is part of a wave of new anti-terror measures sweeping across the Continent in the wake of the July bombings in London.

There is a growing awareness across Europe that significant portions of the large immigrant population from North Africa and the Middle East have extremist religious views. Terrorist threats are now seen as coming from domestic as well as foreign forces. more...

Muslim in Netherlands Laments Failure of Holocaust

Reader fan mail from an IP in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Am I wrong but isn't Nazi ideology illegal in the Netherlands? Wrap that same ideology under the banner of Islam, though, and the Left goosesteps into line to protect this vile speech and pretends that such sentiment is not common. How come I get similar comments nearly every day, the vast majority of which trace to Europe?

This could be right out of Mein Kampf. more...

Massive Manhunt on for Terrorists in Germany (UPDATE: Caught)

UPDATE: The men have been caught and they are Chechens.

Via ITB this from Reuters:

Three Chechen men who were overheard at a bus stop talking about becoming “heroes before Allah” were detained and questioned on Friday after sparking a major security alert in Germany, but police said they did not appear to have been planning an attack.

Hamburg police said the men, aged from 21 to 25, had been found after a manhunt in which more than 1,000 officers had thrown up overnight roadblocks and scoured Germany’s second city.

Hamburg police chief Reinhard Chedor told a news conference: “At the moment I don’t believe there were any concrete attack plans.” He said the men were being held for further questioning and declined to give further details.

------------------

Elections are coming up in Germany and Schroedder is trailing in the polls. Now is the time to get tough on terrorists. Notice the Clintonian policy of not starting a manhunt for the terrorists because police didn't want to interfere in a criminal investigation. Treating terrorism as common act of criminality is what gave us 9/11. Also, recall that Hamburg was at the center of the 9/11 plot. Radical Islamists roots run deep in that city.

LA Times:

More than 1,000 police officers were deployed Thursday to search for three suspected terrorists, a police spokesman said.

Roadblocks and controls were set up at 12 points in this northern port city after an Arabic-speaking witness overheard the men praising Allah and heroism Wednesday at a bus stop. One was carrying a backpack.

Police said the three men had been recorded by video surveillance cameras and their pictures would be released.

"We don't know at this point whether there is something to the tip or not," Hamburg state Interior Minister Udo Nagel said at a news conference. There were no concrete clues about any attack, he said.

The witness told police he heard one of the men use the phrase "heroism before Allah." The men then boarded a bus.

A police official said the launch of the search and release of information was delayed a day because the police did not want to jeopardize their initial criminal investigation.

French University Publishes Top al Qaeda Speeches

Presses Universitaires de France has published a new book which documents the speeches of top al Qaeda leaders, including Osama bin Laden and Aymal al Zawahiri. LeMonde runs a full page review of the book, but pans it because the prose of Zawahiri can't really be compared to the genius of the Ayatollah Khomenei or with the Muslim Brotherhood's Sayyid Qutb--those guys really knew how to put antisemetism and islamofascist utopianism into words!.

And besides, says the Le Monde reviewer, how come the authors of the book didn't challenge al Qaeda's assertion that jihad is somehow a call for violence when every one know that jihad is an internal struggle thing, right?

You gotta love the French.......

German Court Sentences 9/11 Terrorist to 1.17 Days per Victim

(Hamburg, Germany) The Hamburg State Superior Court found Moroccan citizen Mounir al-Motassadeq, 31, guilty of membership in the 9-11 terrorist organization and sentenced him to seven years in prison, less than half the 15 years imposed on him in 2003 verdict that was overturned.

From Expatica.com:

Presiding Judge Ernst-Rainer Schudt ruled that Motassadeq had been the "polite, friendly, reserved" member of an eight-man terror cell. Led by an Egyptian, Mohammed Atta, it formed in the German port city of Hamburg in autumn 1999.

"From being friendly, nice young men, they turned into fanatics," said Schudt. Motassadeq had "gone along" with this, not dissociating himself, and had taken over administrative tasks for the group.

Three of the cell members including Atta later piloted hijacked planes that were used as missiles on September 11, 2001 in attacks on New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania. U.S. President George W. Bush declared a "war on terrorism" in response.

"The complete picture shows the accused to have been a member of a terrorist organization, but not to have been an accessory to the murderers of September 11," said Schudt.

What a bunch of crap! So what if he was polite, friendly, and reserved? He was a co-conspirator in 3,000 deaths on September 11, 2001. In fact, if he took over "administrative tasks," he effectively managed the operation. This make me sick. Motassadeq deserves nothing more than the pitch darkness, extreme coldness, and concrete hardness of a prison cell for the rest of his life.

Companion post/pic at Interested-Participant.

UPDATE: As Lawhawk notes in the comments of a related post, that's 1.17 days per victim for Mounir al-Motassadek

Jihad Comes Back to Bosnia

Followers of this will not be surprised, but evidence continues to mount that Bosnia is becoming the focus point for global jihadis in training. But, wait, I thought Bosnia........??

AINA:

Terrorists who previously targeted the U.S. are now in Bosnia, where they have access to a "one-stop shop" of jihad training camps, weapons and illegal Islamic 'charities' -- all at the doorstep of Europe, terrorism experts said.

"[Convicted terrorist] Karim Said Atmani recently returned to Bosnia after being released early from French prison for 'good behavior,'" terrorism expert and author Evan Kohlmann said.

Atmani, a Moroccan, was linked to the "millennium bomb plot" and convicted by a French court of colluding with Osama bin Laden. He has been linked to the Armed Islamic Group (GIA), an organization responsible for airplane hijackings and subway bombings in France...

Also finding haven in Bosnia is Abu el Maali, who like Atmani, was a foreign national who fought in the Bosnia war. El Maali was later accused by French authorities of attempting to smuggle explosives in 1998 to an Egyptian terrorist group plotting to destroy U.S. military installations in Germany. He was also accused of leading terrorist cells in Bosnia, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

"This activity is very significant," said Kohlmann. "Senior members of the former Muslim Brigade and their top commanders are still there, and they're still active."....

Cybercast News Service has also obtained a video that terrorism analysts say depicts an active jihad training camp in Bosnia-Herzegovina, a region previously described by analysts as an ideal gateway for terror missions into Europe.

The video, which is over four minutes in length, shows outdoor maneuvers, explosives training and training inside what appears to be a school gym. Exercises in hostage-taking are also shown....

The presence of active jihadist camps in Bosnia-Herzegovina was also confirmed by attorney and counter-terrorism expert Darko Trifunovic, who previously served as a diplomat in the foreign service of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Kohlmann said that the main camps used during the war have been closed, and a different tactic for jihad training has emerged: disguising them as youth camps. "These days, usually the kind of jihad camp you'll see in Bosnia and other countries are so-called 'youth camps.'" They are usually led by a former member of the mujahadeen, someone with military experience, and perhaps a fundamentalist cleric, said Kohlmann....

Al Qaeda cells were set up in Bosnia in the early 1990s by Ayman al Zawahiri, Osama bin Laden's right-hand man, and bin Laden was said to visit the area twice in the mid-1990s," Brown added. "Iran was very involved in supporting the Islamist separatist movement in Bosnia, and Hezbollah was doing training there in the 1990s."

Training also takes place inside youth centers and school gyms, according to Trifunovic....

Fortunately, all the experts seem to be in agreement that Bosnian Muslims are far more likely to be secular in orientation than Muslims of other countries. Unfortunately, it only takes a small number of well trained people to commit major acts of terrorism. Hat tip: Evan Kohlmann.

Army of Ansar al-Sunnah--In SWEDEN!?!?!

The Army of Ansar al-Sunnah has released a video in which they claim they are testing explosive devices in Sweden. They also threaten to use the 'high explosive' device. The video may be downloaded here (hat tip: Doubletap). Images from the video posted below.

While the video proports to be from Ansar al-Sunnah, it bears the markings of an Islamic Army in Iraq (IAI) production. The IAI uses a free version of Elecard for its video productions. However, the two groups are both affiliated with al Qaeda and have been known to collaborate in the past.

Sweden has a sizeable Kurdish and Arab immigrant population. While most Kurds are very pro-American, a very small minority supports the establishment of a Taliban-like state. The Army of Ansar al-Sunnah is an offshoot of now defunct Kurdish Army of Ansar al-Islam, and may also include Arab elements.

The Army of Ansar al-Sunnah is notorious for murdering hostages in Iraq. The group recently released a propaganda video showing the remains of Marine sniper Jeffrey A. Boskovich. For more information on the evil deeds of The Army of Ansar al-Sunna, I suggest doing a Jawa search for 'ansar'.

Was this video really produced by violent jihadis living in Sweden as it claims? It remains a distinct possibility. I have a feeling this post will be updated in the coming days. more...

Tunisian Airplane Crashes off Italian Coast

A Tunisian air flight between Sicily, Italy, and Tunisia has crashed in the Mediterranean Sea. Conflicting reports estimate the number of dead between 7 (Xinhua) and 19 (EItB). 39 people were aboard the plane, many have survived.

No indication on what the cause of the crash was. Reports seem to suggest that the plane was suffering some sort of technical malfunction. However, a number of al Qaeda communiques specifically mention Italy as a target for terror operations. Developing...Reuters:

At least seven people were killed and 20 injured when their Tunisair flight from Italy to Tunisia made an emergency landing in the sea off Sicily on Saturday after reporting a technical fault, emergency services said.

The pilot of the plane, which had 39 people on board, made a distress call to Palermo airport at 3:24 p.m. (2:24 p.m. British time), requesting to make an emergency landing, an official at Italy's civil aviation authority told Reuters.

The plane landed about 12 miles (19 km) out at sea at 3:40 p.m. and shortly afterwards survivors were seen on the wings of the floating plane. A Tunisian government official told Reuters by telephone that 24 of 35 passengers, all Italians, survived the crash.

ANSA newswire said the death toll was at least nine.

Survivors brought to shore at Palermo were seen being helped out of rescue launches, many with bloody faces and ripped clothes, some yelling in pain. The port was milling with ambulances while helicopters buzzed overhead.

The twin-turboprop ATR 72 had taken off from Bari in southern Italy, heading for Djerba, Tunisia, police said.

ATRs are made by Avions de Transport Regional, based in France, and can carry up to 72 passengers. Earlier, emergency services had identified the plane as the smaller ATR 42 model.

Three London Suicide-Mass-Murderers Named (Muslims *shocked*)

The name of three of the four misunderstanderers of Islam, pieces of inhuman shit, and current bitches to Beelzibub himself have been released. [UPDATE 7/14---fourth suspect named, fifth man thought to be ex-North Carolina State graduate student and current instructor at Leeds University....scroll down for updates] fourth unnamed suspect is presumed dead in the fiery explosion that killed dozens and sent the human-bomb straight to hell. A fifth man, presumable alive, is being sought by police. We will update this post as more information becomes available. Be sure to scroll to end for updates.

Yes, it's people like these that make me hope that their is a) an afterlife b) justice in the afterlife. Thanks to Neil Doyle, British terrorism expert and author of Terror Tracker, for helping me find the names. Sources: Fox News here and here (with thanks to Tim at Opinion Bug for tip):

Shahzad Tanweer, Aldgate bomber.--a 22-year-old cricket-loving sports science graduate. His father, Mohammed Mumtaz Tanweer, was born in Pakistan and owns a fish and chip shop near their home on Colwyn Road. Shahzad Tanweer had lived in the Beeston area of Leeds his whole life.

Hasib Mir Hussain, Tavistock Square Bus Bomber-- 19. Hussain had lived with his Pakistani born parents in the Leeds suburb of Holbeck his whole life.

Mohammed Sidique Khan, Edgware Road Bomber.-- 30-year-old married father of an 8-month-old baby. Born in Pakistan but raised in Beeston. Moved to Lees Holm in Dewsbury about five months ago. Neighbors said he worked with disabled children while his wife was involved in education.

UPDATE: Lindsey Germaine, Jamaican-born, lived in Buckinghamshire.

Two other suspects may be the fourth bomber and the fifth conspirator from SMH Australia:

Rashid Facha-- in his 20s
Jacksey Fiaz-- 30

And how do friends and relatives describe the terrorist scumbags? It's always the same thing with these people. Our popular media likes to make extremists out to be fanatics in every aspect of their lives. The truth is that mass-murderering thugs like this tend to be quiet, mind their own business, and usually show no outward evidence of religious fanaticism. They are your typical good neighbors.

Fox:

Neighbors of Tanweer in Leeds' garbage-strewn rows of Victorian-era red brick houses were apprehensive and hostile, walking fast past reporters gathered at the cordons. One warehouse worker, who would only give his first name, Saj, said Tanweer was a "good lad" and an athlete.

"He was quiet," he said. "He was religious. He went to every mosque here. There are loads of mosques here."

Shocking that a religiously motivated criminal would, you know, attend religious services on a regular basis. But I'm sure religion had nothing to do with this.

And how is the Pakistani community reacting to the fact that all of the human time bombs were from their community? Are they trying to root out the evil in their midsts in a comparable way to anti-Hitler Germans in America fought the German Bund?

"This is not good for Muslims," Iqbal said. "We have businesses here. There will be a backlash."
Yeah, I'd hate for the Pakistani community to lose business. Why, that's just as bad or worse than the murder of 52 people! Intolerant Brits.
Khalid Muneer, 28, a spokesman for the Hyde Park Mosque in Leeds, said the community was surprised by the raids and police claims that the bombers may have come from there.

"That connection would surprise us all, even shock the whole community. We still think it's too early to say," he told AP, adding that Muslims in the area were not opposed to Britain.

"I've seen no calls in this area for jihad against British or American forces. You will not get that sentiment expressed around this mosque."

Bullshit alert! Bullshit alert!! Bullshit meter now at maximum!!!

You don't need explicit calls for jihad when you believe in the exact same worldview as the jihadis. Your mosque preaches hatred for America and Britain, you claim Muslims are being murdered at the hands of the West, you claim a Zionist conspiracy controls the UK and is responsible for poor conditions in Muslim lands, you claim the the Anglo-American alliance is killing millions of Muslims, and that a real holocaust is being committed against your brothers around the world---yet, you say you want to change things peacefully?

If the Anglo-American alliance is committing such attrocities then it would be your duty to fight them with whatever means were necessary.

Only a fool and moral idiot would believe that fighing mass-murder on a genocidal scale should only be achieved through peaceful means.

But I'm sure it wasn't a religious worldview that blames the woes of the Islam on the West that had anything to do with this. A worldview which suggests that there ought to be a single Islamic nation ruled by Islamic law. A worldview which reinforces the notion that Muslims belong to the umma--the nation of Islam--and that their allegiance is to the umma and not the host nation-state. A worldview which splits the world into the dar al-Islam, the territories governed by those who have submitted to Allah, and the dar al-Harab, or the House of War--which by definition sets up a belief system in which Muslim lands are seen positively and non-Muslim lands are seen negatively. A worldview which cannot fathom without resorting to conspiracy theories the fact that the West is so powerful while Muslim nations are so weak, given the fact that the Quran explicitly predicts the eventual domination of the world by Islam.

Nope, the ideology that is Islam had nothing to do with it. I'm sure it was, like, poverty or something.

Leeds, about 185 miles north of London, has a population of about 715,000. About 15 percent of the residents are Muslim, and many come from a tight-knit Pakistani community, mostly from Mirpur, south of Islamabad in Pakistani-controlled Kashmir. Other pockets of the community are mostly Arab....

The three suspects appear to have come from a moderately affluent sect of British society. They reportedly rode in a rental car to London, toting military style backpacks. The fourth bomber remains unidentified, but is believed to be from the Luton area northwest of London.

More on Shehzad Tanweer from news.com.au. Notice how he was such a nice sweet devout Muslim and also notice that he spent some time in Islamic Republic of Pakistan last year:
SHEHZAD Tanweer, Shazzy to his friends, was a cricket-loving sports science graduate whose father ran the local chip shop.

The Bradford-born 22-year-old who spoke with a broad West Yorkshire accent, boarded an eastbound Circle Line train from London's Kings Cross station a week ago, where he detonated a bomb, killing at least seven commuters...

If ever there was a family of model immigrants, it was the Tanweers. Originally from Pakistan, they had made a good life in Britain, running their Leeds fish and chip shop and living in a large detached house in the city's Beeston area, with two Mercedes cars parked outside.

They were a close-knit family of good Muslims, respected in a local multi-ethnic community of whites, Africans, east Europeans, Pakistanis and Bengalis.

Shehzad had a brother and two sisters, children of the proprietor of South Leeds Fishery, a familiar and respected figure in the Beeston community. The fish shop was open for business on Tuesday but there was no sign of its owner.

Mohamed Ansaar Riaz, 19, and Azzy Mohamed, 21, said their friend Shehzad was "the best lad you could ever meet".

They described how he had grown up in Beeston, studied sports science subjects at university and been a competent all-rounder for a local Asian cricket team. He last played only a fortnight ago.

"He was a sweet guy who gets on with everyone," Mr Riaz said. "He had a fantastic sense of humour and could make you laugh. He was also a very intelligent person. His family, like other Pakistanis, Bengalis and Iraqis around here, are 100 per cent devoted to the Koran.

"Shehzad never drank and I never heard him swear. The idea of him going down to London to explode a bomb is unbelievable; it is not in his nature to do something like that. He is the kind of guy who would always condemn extremism, like any good Muslim should. I have heard him many times in the past say such things."

Shehzad's uncle, Mohamed Azfal, said his nephew visited Pakistan last year. The family had come originally from Faisalabad.

And from a BBC story. The emphasis of the story, of course, is how shocked the Muslim community is and how they fear backlash--but buried in it are some details of the hellbound pieces of shit:
Tanweer, whose family came to Leeds from Pakistan in 1961, had lived all his life among the back-to-back houses of Beeston, on hills overlooking Leeds United's Elland Road stadium.

Hussain attended the local Matthew Murray High School, now called South Leeds High School, and Khan only left Beeston five months ago to move to Dewsbury....

Ms Hussain said she had grown up with Tanweer and was his sister Tabsum's best friend.

"I couldn't imagine anyone in that family doing anything like this, it is really shocking.

"He [Shehzad Tanweer] used to pray five times a day, but what was he thinking?

"Nowhere does Islam tell you to go and kill yourself. It is the worst thing you can do."

Yeah, all those suicide bombers in Israel have been so roundly condemned by Muslims ....oh, wait, maybe she meant it's the worst thing you can do except when killing J-O-Os? And of course there is the fact that many sources now say that at least some of the bombers were not trying to kill themselves, just others. I guess that would be, you know, ok.

Now check out this. I bet the 'mastermind' had a hooked nose, wore a little beanie, and used Arab blood when preparing the Passover matzoh.

She believes the suspected bombers must have been influenced by a mastermind outside the local community.

"There are three mosques that people go to round here and you would never hear anything like that there. I don't know anyone who thinks like that."

Her friend Uzma Rafiq, until recently a student in Leeds, said: "There must be somebody else behind this who has sent them down the wrong path."

Sigh.

UPDATE: Evan Kohlmann on an experience he had while visiting London.

When pressed on his point about Palestine, Faisal reiterated several times, "that's all occupied Muslim land. Every single part of it is Muslim land and it all has to be taken back by force... yes, the women have to be targeted... in Israel, we're going to target the women... if the children get killed, the Jewish children, can blame yourselves" for living on occupied land.

Perhaps what disturbed me the most about Faisal's desperate words was searching around the room and seeing dozens of eyes diligently trained on him--the eyes of young, impressionable Muslim kids. It is common in this modern era for Western youths (of all backgrounds) to worship popular rock stars or Hollywood actors and aspire to become them. Yet, for many years, the radical religious fringe has preached a consistent countermessage to young Muslims: "by virtue of your heritage alone, you are different from your peers and 'we love death as they love life.'" A minority of these youths have been raised to idolize Usama Bin Laden and Mohammed Atta in the same way that many Americans follow Johnny Depp and Bruce Springsteen. With disastrous "Muslim wars" ongoing in Iraq and Afghanistan, some of those brainwashed into following Al-Qaida now see a unique opportunity for themselves to step forward from obscurity and become famous, heroic "martyrs" of the Islamic nation, much like the 9/11 hijackers. Let noone be mistaken: the deluded suicide bombers responsible for the carnage on 7/7 are far from alone. The age of the "human cruise missile" is now fully upon us and it is likely only a matter of time before this problem crosses the Atlantic and reaches the shores of the American homeland.

UPDATE II: From a link I found from QandO. File this under, I told you so and Rusty's theories are just so right on the money, yo. LA Times:
But as they watched soldiers, police and journalists invade their streets Tuesday, other young neighbors seethed.

They defended Tanweer as a good man who would not have done such a thing. Some, however, came close to justifying violence in response to a perceived assault on Muslims worldwide.

"You see Palestinian kids getting killed on the street in your living room, maybe you're going to flip," said a young man who identified himself only as Shakur, 27. It is not a matter of Al Qaeda carrying out attacks, he said. "The people are doing it themselves."

And James Joyner finds this little gem from one of the bastards parents as published in the BBC. Yes, even terrorist scumbags have parents that love them. At least the parents didn't pull the typical Palestinian Yeah, were glad our son blew himself and some Jews up rhetoric.
The uncle of one of the suspected London suicide bombers said his family had been "left shattered" by the news. Bashir Ahmed, 65, said the family of Shehzad Tanweer, who recently studied religion in Pakistan, could not accept he was capable of the bombings."It wasn't him. It must have been forces behind him," he said.
Confederate Yankee e-mails wondering if maybe Shazzie had gone to Pakistan to study Judaism. I'm more inclined to believe they were there trying to find their Buddhist roots.

UPDATE 7/14: A chemistry instructor at Leeds University has been implicated as the possibe as the mastermind behind the 7/7 bombings. The way the article is written, it sounds as if he may have been a graduate student but I'm not sure how the British University system works exactly. more...

The Dead and Missing in London

Via Andrew Cochran, this Times of London article lists the names of those killed and missing in the London bombing attrocities. Apologies for copyright infringement, but I have reprinted the entire list because many online newspapers take down archived articles after a few weeks. The list is in the extended entry.

Remember, what happened was an attrocity not a tragedy. Never use the word tragedy to describe the deliberate acts of evil men. Attrocities are committed, tragedies happen. more...

Oriana Fallaci: Europe is doomed, Doomed, DOOMED!!

Unlike Kent Brockman, Oriana Fallaci will not be the first to welcome her new Muslim overlords. You will recall Ms. Fallaci has been indicted by an Italian court for telling the truth about Islam, which is now illegal in many of the more dhimmifide countries of the world. In the spirit of solidarity with Ms. Falluci let me just say that Muhammed was a rapist and piss be upon him!

She sees the decline of Europe in almost absolutist terms. Let's hope she is wrong. WSJ:

Ms. Fallaci speaks in a passionate growl: "Europe is no longer Europe, it is 'Eurabia,' a colony of Islam, where the Islamic invasion does not proceed only in a physical sense, but also in a mental and cultural sense. Servility to the invaders has poisoned democracy, with obvious consequences for the freedom of thought, and for the concept itself of liberty."....

German TV: Bush Family Behind 9/11

Un-be-freaking-lievable! Dave Kasper at Medienkritik blogs out of Germany and keeps an eye on that nation's left-wing press. The latest lunacy out of Germany is a show broadcast on Germany's largest state-run television station which alleges that the Bush family was really behind 9/11.

Throughout the mystery the woman was chased by groups of unidentified villains who were out to kill her because she had a CD with photographic evidence of the Boston hijacker who got away. The subtext of the plot was her explicitly stated allegation that 9-11 was instigated by the Bush family for oil and power. The hit men were CIA/FBI types and the TV audience is led to believe they were the ones who killed the pilot and were now after the woman to insure her story would never be known. The conclusion of the mystery has the detectives believing her story as she escapes the CIA by fleeing to an unnamed Arab country.
This isn't exactly surprising news given what we know of the Left's love of conspiracy theories.

E-mail a Fascist

Here is the e-mail (with thanks to Italian blogger KrilliX) for the fascist who is prosecuting Oriana Fallaci for daring to speak out against the Islamification of Europe.

Armando Grasso
tribunale.bergamo@giustizia.it

Here is my letter

Sir,
You are a fascist for prosecuting a women for exercising her right of free speech.

I stand in solidarity with Ms. Fallaci and beg you to also prosecute me. I have said much worse about Islam that she has.

For instance, I have publicly called Mohammed a child molester since the most reliable Hadiths claim he married his last wife Aisha at the age of six and raped her at the age of nine.

Also, as we speak, I am burning a copy of the Koran. A shit stained copy of the Koran, I might add, since I have recently taken to using its pages for toilet paper. I have no excuse for this obvious act of desecration other than to provoke a response from Islamofascists and their European dhimmis (like you) bent on extinguishing liberty.

If you call yourself a man then you will immediately indict me for 'crimes' much worse than Ms. Fallaci is charged with and begin extradition hearings.

Let me make something perfectly clear: I do not hate Muslims. I do not believe Muslims go to hell. I do not believe Muslims are bad people.

What I am is a lover of liberty.

What I hate about Islam is not what most Christians hate about Islam. What I hate about Islam is that it seems to be anti-libertarian. I could care less if Muslims want to condemn me to hell. Most Christians also believe I am going to hell. Thank you one and all for your concern for my eternal soul.

What I do object to is Muslims using the law to put people in prison (or worse) for exercising basic human rights such as the right to say bad things about, well, Islam.

I doubt if I represent what most Americans think, but I can say without reservation that I for one do not hate Muslims. But I do hate Islam. I also do not hate communists, but I do hate Communism. Islam in its historical and mainstream manifestation is every bit as evil as Communism was. It quashes the individual. It makes him a slave to the religious community.

Even liberal Islamic law is still Islamic law.

I have been told that thousands of slave owners were very nice. Despite the law, they educated their slaves, provided good food and shelter (certainly better than many free smallholders had), did not break up families, and allowed them a great deal of freedom of movement and worship. But no matter how pleasent the master may seem he is still the master. A happy slave is still a slave.

I will not be a willing participant in the Islamification of Europe. Too many Americans died to free the Continent from the slavery of Fascism. Countless billions of American dollars were spent protecting the Continent from the slavery of Communism.

We are now engaged in a great war of ideas. This war is not between Christians and Muslims. It is a war between freedom and Islam. It is a war of ideas. We cannot afford to lose this war.

While others are focusing on the veracity of the Koran story, let me pause to say, "So what?" What if the story is true? What does that mean exactly? So a dipshit 21 year old soldier flushes a copy of the Koran? It might offend people, but who has he hurt? No one.

UPDATE: Ron Wright has similar thoughts.

UPDATE II: McQ too.

Dutch Leaving in Droves

The number one place for Dutch chicks to emmigrate to? The San Fernando Valley.

But seriously, a contributing factor for the socialist paradise's demise is the fact that Dutch society is being overwhelmed by Muslim immigrants who do not share the same values of tolerance and openess.

'Sophisticated' and 'Continental' French Take Away Miss France's Title for Posing in Playboy

So let me get this straight, the French are taking away Miss France, Laetitia Bleger's, title for posing in Playboy? And she's not even nude! As Erik Svane says about this, "If this had happened in the United States, it's a sure bet that Europe's intellectuals and pundits would be besides themselves in bewailing, mocking, and shrieking about American puritanism and hypocrisy." Indeed.

Both Rob at Say Anything and Double Viking have the pics. Despite Rob's warnings about them, they are not really nude. A kind of see through top in one of the pics, but it's the kind of stuff you see in women's fashion magazines all the time.

Scandinavian Socialist Utopia: Norwegians Have a 'Right' to Surf for Porn at Work

Leftists love to talk about the Scandinavian countries as if they were utopias on earth. I'm just beginning to see their point. Via QandO this story out of Norway:

Norway's Supreme Court supported decisions refusing Conoco Phillips the right to fire two workers who surfed the Internet for pornographic images on company time.

The two workers on the Ekofisk field lost their jobs after being caught peeping at porn on the job in the summer of 2002. The pair took their case to court and won at both the municipal and appeals level, NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting) reports...

The Supreme Court has ruled that the firings were not justified and have awarded the two NOK 250,000 (USD 40,000) each in compensation.

Look, all joking aside, you've got to draw the line between public and private behavior somewhere. The idea that an employee can't be fired for surfing for porn on company time is outrageous.

Now excuse me as I go do some 'research' at Whitehouse.com.

Berlusconi Resigns

It's not exactly what you think. This is a procedural resignation, he'll be back as PM right-away. Guardian:

Silvio Berlusconi, faced with mounting criticism over Italy's sluggish economy and its involvement in Iraq, resigned Wednesday as premier but vowed to quickly form a stronger new Cabinet to restore confidence in his leadership.

Resigning and then immediately shuffling the Cabinet is an old trick of Italy's complicated political system, and has been used by premiers to strengthen faltering coalitions.

Berlusconi, who had presided over Italy's longest-serving government since World War II, had so far resisted the move, sensing it would dent his image as a new-style politician. On Wednesday, he suggested he would have preferred not to resign.

Giuliana Sgrena responds to the announcement.

First Stage in European Caliphate About to Begin

Via Robert Spencer who got the article from Norwegian Kaffir (who's politically incorrect views might just get him a fatwa if he's not careful). IRNA (the English language propaganda arm of the mad mullahs of Iran):

A group of Muslims in the Dutch city of Amsterdam plans to set up the Muslim Democratic Party (MDP) at the end of May.

The party wants to compete in the upcoming local government elections in five cities and later also in the parliamentary elections, Dutch news agency ANP has reported.

The MDP will promote the interests of Muslims in the Netherlands, the agency quoted spokesman M. Jabri saying.

The initiators are currently holding talks with known and unknown Muslims to get the party going in the big cities.

Contacts are also being sought with non-Muslims, 'so that we have a balance within the executive', said Jabri.

"It is a matter of people who think the same way politically." The MDP has drawn up a provisional manifesto with the outline of the movement. Islam forms the basic point here.

The Palestinian question is also raised in the manifesto.

"The MDP declares solidarity with the peoples of the south in their fight against the neo-colonialism that is steered by the US and neo-liberal Europe, but also against the occupation and aggression of the US, its lackeys and internal dictators," according to the manifesto, quoted by ANP.

This might seem insignificant--after all, the Europeans have a lot of odd parties--if one was not aware of the Muslim notion of the umma, or Islamic nation.

And as the umma prepares to form its first political party on the continent, the deep ties betweem the mosques and radical Islamists in Europe are revealed in this Middle East Forum article by Lorenzo Vidino
(via No Pasaran):

But the Middle East is only one part of the Muslim world. Europe has become an incubator for Islamist thought and political development. Since the early 1960s, Muslim Brotherhood members and sympathizers have moved to Europe and slowly but steadily established a wide and well-organized network of mosques, charities, and Islamic organizations. Unlike the larger Islamic community, the Muslim Brotherhood's ultimate goal may not be simply "to help Muslims be the best citizens they can be," but rather to extend Islamic law throughout Europe and the United States

Four decades of teaching and cultivation have paid off. The student refugees who migrated from the Middle East forty years ago and their descendants now lead organizations that represent the local Muslim communities in their engagement with Europe's political elite. Funded by generous contributors from the Persian Gulf, they preside over a centralized network that spans nearly every European country.

These organizations represent themselves as mainstream, even as they continue to embrace the Brotherhood's radical views and maintain links to terrorists. With moderate rhetoric and well-spoken German, Dutch, and French, they have gained acceptance among European governments and media alike. Politicians across the political spectrum rush to engage them whenever an issue involving Muslims arises or, more parochially, when they seek the vote of the burgeoning Muslim community.

But, speaking Arabic or Turkish before their fellows Muslims, they drop their facade and embrace radicalism. While their representatives speak about interfaith dialogue and integration on television, their mosques preach hate and warn worshippers about the evils of Western society. While they publicly condemn the murder of commuters in Madrid and school children in Russia, they continue to raise money for Hamas and other terrorist organizations. Europeans, eager to create a dialogue with their increasingly disaffected Muslim minority, overlook this duplicity.
