Yet Another Item on My Long List of Reasons to Hate Jimmy Carter

Allahpundit at HotAir posts a video of Ed Peck, Jimmy Carter's Ambassador to Iraq. This guy is a piece of work.

Among other things, he says that Hizb'Allah is not a terrorist group and states that they're much like Allied soldiers in WWII. I don't care what your opinion is on Hizb'Allah and / or Allied soldiers. Making that kind of comparison is just stupid.

1 Hisbollah killed 200 U.S. marines in Lebanon. That must not be forgotten no matter what these libidiots tell you.

2 Parties in conflict should reach a peaceful resolution if they can meet at a "middle ground". I think the Ambassador is 100% right on that.

So Hezbollah's stated goal is to wipe Israel off the map. And Israel's stated goal, as strange as it may be, seems to be to avoid being wiped off the map. Presuming these stated goals are genuinely held, what exactly is the "middle ground" upon which a resolution to the conflict can be based? I'd love to hear the Ambassador's take on this one.

5 Maybe we need to get rid of diplomats!(and democrats)

Posted by: pivalleygirl at July 28, 2006 02:24 AM (BQRI6)

6 Get rid of the dumorats and diplomats will no longer be needed. The enemy will know we mean business and the anti-american left will have no say. John Bolton could tell the terrorists to get their A** away from Israel and they would go hide in a cave with the joke Osama and the rest of the religion of murderers. If they don't just bomb their home countries back to the stone ages and they will have no one to go home to. Show them the Japanese method of suicide and they'll take care of themselves.

7 ...The Carter Administration, the anus that keeps on bleeding.

8 Jimmy Carter. Cindy Sheehan. Both idealistic dorks.

Saudi's now changing there attitude toward condemation of Hezbollah because of indescrimiate destruction of Lebanon.
Saudi's give Lebanon 1.5 Billion in aid.

Non existant spectulators (according to posters here) have set the price of light sweet crude at $74.00 per barrel for NOVEMBER. November you academic meatheads. That's spectulation.

Exxon mobile reports 2nd highest quarterly profit in history. Congressmen discussing a bill for 100% tax on excessive oil profits.

Walmart best friend China siding with Hezbollah.

Walmart surrenders and sells out in Germany. Are Germans more aware of the future than we.

Biggest thing on news is Israel's destruction of Lebanon's infrastructure. Ambulances with injured children cannot get to hospitals. Still no rockets fired from Beirut.

Chicago set minimun wage of $10.00 per hr plus $3.00 per hr in benefits for Wal-mart. Dumb but a reaction to Wal-marts policy of working people less than 40 hrs per week to avoid paying benefits.

Everything I predicted has happened. Shows that a uneducated businessman can beat losers hiding in Academia any day.

9 Q. Is it possible that Jimma Carter was a worse president than B.J. Clinton?

A. Yes, if he had served for 8 years like Bl*w Job......

10 oh oh....Scott is spectulating again. I hope he sterilized it.

Posted by: n.a. palm at July 28, 2006 08:00 AM (fdUWK)

11 Yeah, be careful with that thing, Scott. I've heard those "spectulators" can be a handful.

I'm not passing judgment. To each his own. I'm just sayin' you really don't wanna end up in one of those stories that starts "I used to work in an emergency room, and you'll never believe..."

12 Does anyone ever wonder how people (so caled diplomats) so clueless to the ways of the world ever get into positions of power?

Typical libroid diplospeak: "Gee...maybe in WWII, WE were the terrorists.."

WTF is that?

-smack!- upside his head...

13 I don't need another reason to hate Jimmy Carter.

14 You know, this is the problem with 24 hour news, and it corrupts the political discourse in America today. They drag out these brain dead old bastards to give their two cents worth, and they say rediculous shit like that, it goes out all over the world, just because they have time to kill on the screen. Every other retired diplomat, army Lt. colonel gets his 15 minutes of fame, and the more stupid they are the more time they're given. Amazing. The dumbing down of America. And people who are watching, sirfing to find an opinion they agree with (rather than one that challenges them) give these idiots credence.

15 It is a curse of civilization that we, its civilized inhabitants, are, for the most part, reasonable people, and are willing to listen to limp-wristed reason rather than hard-fisted common sense. We have let some among us deceive us into believing that in order to keep thinking ourselves civilized, we must not engage in the same behavior that our enemies who are trying to destroy us use. This is a lie that works for the benefit of the barbarians, as it psychologically disarms those who would protect civilization. Anyone who isn't willing to fight when threatened is useless to their society, and so liberals are useless to Western civilization, as their only response to any threat is to retreat until backed into a corner, then surrender. Liberals fall into two categories; gutless cowards who believe that nothing is worth fighting for, and traitors who always side with the enemy. Liberals are harmful parasites to civilization since they do nothing to protect it, but rather enable its enemies by talk of appeasement and defeatism. Jimmy Carter is a prime example of this, and this alone is reason enough to hate him. I will make a pilgrimage to piss on his grave once his putrid corpse fouls the good earth.

16 So when will John "I would have crushed Hezbolla with my magic hat" Kerry condemns Carter's comments?

17 It isn't a diplomat's job to find a middle ground, it's his job to get as many of his countries objectives accomplished as possible. The other guy's objectives are meaningless, just more means to the ends of accomplishing his own. If you start with the idea "let's give them what they want" they will take that and give you nothing you you let them.
