It does not contain nudity or violence. It does not contain high drama or intrigue. It has no special effects or digitally enhanced audio. This video contains none of the elements that one would associate with a powerful video, save one: heroism.
This video shows a member of LiveLeak putting his money where his mouth is, and taking a stand against the enemies of freedom.
At age 40, 'ezrider1967' is joining the United States armed forces, with the full knowledge that he is likely to be deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan.
I'm re-posting his video here as a sign of my respect, and as a reminder:
America is not ready to lie down in defeat, and there are still many brave patriots willing to defend our way of life.
Ezrider1967 is one such patriot.

BTW for anyone who thinks I am talking sh~t, I served 5+ years as a Marine. I was 24 when I joined and the humps damn near killed me back then. As a 40 year old I think he is in for a lifetime of experience before he pins on his first rank. Best of luck to him.

The support means the world to me. I actually ran a mile today. Puked for about an hour, and only smoked 3 cigs...it is a long way from being accomplished.

At this point only about 1 in 4 of American youth is FIT to serve in the US Army, and "patriotism" has been sliding since 2002. This is according to General Wallace commanding general of Training and Doctrine Command. This is a direct quote from Army Times.

The 3 out of 4 who are deemed ineligible to serve fail to meet the standards morally, physically, or intellectually.
Some of the typical explanations given for this are: Ted Kennedy, doritos, and rap music.
