Video: Ghosts, Demon Children and Polergeists

File under "And now for something completely different."

This is a pretty freaky video. Many supernatural clips make it hard to discern what's happening, but these look real (I'm no expert, but some of this stuff seems hard to fake). It would likely be even better at 2:45 am in the dark. Sent chills up the spine on several occasions. Its a collection of clips of ghosts, poltergeist activity, alleged 'demonic' happenings and other creepy stuff. Watch at your own peril.

UPDATE: Upon further reflection and another viewing or two, it is entirely plausible that these are fake and made by people with a lot of time on their hands. If they're fake, however, they're pretty well done.

GET FREAKED OUT BELOW THE FOLD -->

1 Watched the video twice, he first time without sound so that my emotions would not be manipulated by music or my interpritation of what I am seeing influenced by what people were saying.  I saw a lot of fog in a cemetary (in more places than just behind the mounment), some smoke interracting with a spider web near a lamp post, some smoke or dust trapped between two opposite wind currents crossing the street, a shadow of someone off camera in a garrage move across a wall etc.  The first time the "thing in the hall" did make my hair on my neck stand up, but the second time it did not look like much.  The poltergeist stuff looked very fake to me.  The "demon" in the mirror did not do anything the girl did not already do.  It's a blend of two video streems, one of them a time loop--very well done.

PS. Get that pantry latch fixed.

2 I'm thinking a lot of staging, fishing line, fancy editing, remote controls, etc.

Creepy when you first watch it though.

5 well as they say - put up or shut up - the amazing randi has a million dollar check in trust for anyone or anything that can pass the double blind tests...the video dude should reach out and claim his dough...if he can get past randi - and nobody has.

i've always said about supra-natural phenomenon - if anyone could have come back or figured it out it would have been houdini...

7 Y'all are so cynical!  I've experienced things in my parents' house.... as have other members of my family.  My daughter knew nothing of this and when she started spending time down there, she told me she had seen and heard things in the house, too.  My parents had the house blessed by a priest many years ago, but we just accept that it is haunted.

9 I agree. I only watched it once (sound and everything), and the only thing that particularly scared me was the thing in the hall. But then, it's probably a human trait that the old see-something-weird-turn-your-back-then-go-back-to-look-and-its-got-closer thing stands a good chance of shrinking your balls. And you can sort of tell it was built up to be like that, with the viewer in mind, and therefore fake.
The ouija board segment is particularly lame. 'What's on TV?' 'Nothing.' 'Let's film ourselves covertly opening doors, moving furniture, and flitting our hands in front of the camera lens!' 'Do we have to?...'

13 My parents had some friends that lived in an old house. They, the owners of the house said that they had some funny things going on in the house. They had a big fireplace with a nice mantle above it. They said that there were two brass candle sticks that they would place on the mantle. Come morning time the candle sticks would be laying on the floor in front of the fireplace. I heard this story back in the early 80's when I was all of 8 years old, so they could have been pulling my leg.

This one comes out to the interesting timing occurances. One of my cousin's, a very honest individual and not a guy that would ever make shit up randomly told me this. He had a friend that lived across the street from him. At my aunt's house she had a music box in her living room. When my cousin was younger, the kid from across the street would always mess around with the music box. Into their later teen years, the kid from across the street committed suicide. A year to the day after he was gone, my cousin woke up when he heard the music box playing in the living room. He told me the story, and I believe that he was telling me the truth.

14 Why don't we ever see a full screen image of any of the "poltergeists" rooms where activity is taking place? Probably because the actors working the tricks would be visible.

Sorry folks, but film "proof" of paranormal won't cut it anymore. Video editing is too good at creating "ghosts". Until someone like Randi can verify it just won't fly.

15 There was a house where someone/something grabbed a little boys private parts while in the dark. A ghost?

Nope! When they turned the lights on there stood Conservative voice.

16 Some people create "smoke ghosts" with cigarette smoke and dry ice.  How is it that the camera is focused in on where the poltergeist activity is taking place?  I'm not buying most of it.

That being said, I think spirits and life after death are REAL.  If you want to see some Roto-rooter plumbers doing scientific studies of ghosts, then I would suggest the show "Ghosthunters" on SciFi.  Sometimes they find evidence, sometimes they don't.  They seem pretty legit.

However, that show "Most Haunted" that is filmed in England... completely fake.  There's always one person who is "so frightened" that they have to leave and then suddenly there is banging on the walls.  Umhmm.  And don't get me started on the table tipping.  LOL  Oh well, it's good for a laugh.

Somewhere there is a video of a ghost caught on tape at a junkyard.  Security camera caught it.  That one seems pretty real.
