2 I have posted this in another blog on this site about the Danes who BTW are absolutely doing the right thing.
I am insisting because I'd like to get other peoples opinions/insight on US policy concerning muslims in Europe so here it is (repost)

yes, I agree

muslims out of Europe NOW, but please can someone help me understand:

why
is it that the USA (Bush administration) bends over backwards to make
Turkey a part of Europe? (in a time where islamists in Turkey are on
the rise)

and

why did the Clinton administration jumped
in to save Bosnian mulsims at a time when the Serbs were cleaning up
their neighbirhood?

Two different administrations, two different parties same policy

PS1. And here's the paradox, the French do not want Turkey in Europe and Europeans didn't lift a finger to help the Bosnians.

PS2. Bush received a hero's welcome in predominantly muslim Albania

PS3. Go figure

5 im suprised there is no muslim outrage because of this, no mass gatherings of muslims protesting this like when those cartoons first came out, by the way, haha

6 nickkick, just my own thoughts but Arabs/Muslims (however you want to lump those groups together) have for the most part been well assimilated into the US and do have some political power to persuade...

7 nickkick   It also works out that Americans like to be inclusive.  To most people it doesn't matter if your an Arab, or Turk, or whatever, because your all potential immigrants (I mean the legal kind).  Call us snobs but we generally feel bad for a lot of the rest of the world, and wish they had what we did.  Sometimes we don't really know what the results of our efforts will be, but we do have good intentions. During the cold war Turkey was important. In a way, it is even more important now. We don't really know if alienating the whole country will push them further to the extremes, or shock them into a reversal.  In any case all NATO allies are obliged to each others defense, and it may be better to keep Turkey close, in light of that.  Thats my short opinion.

                             USA, all the way!

8 nickkick: Because American has been brainwashed into believing anything that is a minority or different should always get preferenial treatment. Our attacking the Serbs was the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. Serb so called crimes weren't any different than muslim crimes thoughout the world. Only difference was that the Serbs were winning, white and Christian. Something the liberals in charge at the time can't handle. If the Brits get balls enough to take their country back I wonder if the U.S. will attack them. Bringing muslims into the fold for any reason is nutsso. Muslims are muslim first and humans second. Just my opinon.
