UN: Climate Change Causes...Darfur Massacre?

Nothing to do with corrupt thugocracies, roving bands of brutal murderers, lack of consequences visited by the international community (heh) for said thugocracies engaging in genocide, etc.

No. It was and is "climate change."

That's good news for the US military - there's nothing they can do to stop what's really causing Darfur's problems. And we all know what a world breadbasket and model of prosperity Darfur was before this arbitrary assault by the planet's weather patterns; an assault that is literally possessing and directly ordering the lunatics there to slaughter innocents with machetes.

Hence, we don't need to intervene with our military there. Nothing the military can do to stop "climate change."

Right? Angelina?

He's got the mentality of a moonie and he can intimidate like an old Kia. Obviously providence put him in charge of the United Nations.

I find it amazing the reporter can take a statement like, "...arising at least in part from climate change..."  And translate it to, "UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that the slaughter in Darfur was triggered by global climate change."

I see it as the difference between farting and crapping. And for those who think it's all the same, well, they need to sit reeeealy far away from me.

3 All those problems with Arab herders not able to just waltz in and take whatever they wanted, when they wanted to, but climate change gets the blame?

So, if I go next door and take my neighbor's car can I blame it on the high price of gasoline?

Speaking of which, how big are the Sudanese oil revenues?

The linked article talks about "economic" measures to ease the suffering meaning the UN wants to throw money at the problem. Since that's like shoveling fleas across a barnyard very little of the money will actually reach the poor farmers. None of it will get to those already murdered by their Arab oppressors.

But you can be sure that the leader of Sudan, his entire family, everyone who works for him and assorted generals will all have money to burn.

This excuse for Islam’s behavior works out well when there are no JOOOS or Cross-worshipers around to blame or in Iraq when it is muslim killing muslim.

5 No...the UN is correct. I also have it on good authority that the Holocaust was caused by an extra cold winter and killing fields of Laos happened after particularly nasty humidity.

6 THERE IS NO GLOBAL WARMING ITS A LIE and DARFUR is the victim of eco-freaks from GREENPEACE,WORLD WILDLIFE FUND, and the rest of the eco-wackos

7 Not sure them killing each other is such a bad thing. If we interfer they will all want to come here.  There was a TV special on  Darfur. They interviewed a woman who say she has had 11 children and 9 of them have died. Real smart lady. Real smart.  Can't feed them. Have some more.

8 If they would kill the RIGHT ones things would be better.

Imam murdering Imam=Good.

Light skinned Muslim murdering dark skinned Muslim for being darker of skin=Bad.

Those Sudanese dying in the desert aren't the ones sending suicide bombers.

I'm all for giving every member of the Saudi Royal Family a machete and locking them all in one big room. Oh, I didn't forget. I never promised to let any of them out. Nor water in.
