The reason for the change doesn't matter because this is a bad move. Each soldier and his or her family have made a unique sacrifice, more than worthy of individual recognition.

Perhaps the Army is facing a larger casualty list to come for some unknown reason and are trimming back.
Perhaps the Army feels it's more important to spend time training not to die and to win than to show honors for every individual troop who is KIA
Question the effects on morale if every individual troop KIA in WW2 was honored in this fashion.

We are getting ready to witness the highest level of action since the initial invasion with what should be unfolding soon in Diyala province. That is going to be a huge, fast-paced battle that will take months. I don't think we are going to have time to stand everyone down attend memorials every other day.
