In response to President Bush's denunciation of "Islamic fascists," the Saudi government has warned against "hurling charges of terrorism and fascism at Muslims without regard to the spotless history of Islamic civilization."

a) Genocide of the Beni Quraizah and sale of their women and children into slavery at the hands of their prophet himself,
b) Destruction of the Egpytian civilization and turning it into an Arab-Muslim country,

To a Muslim a spotless history is the murder, rape, pillaging, enslavement and looting of every civilization to be unfortunate enough to be within their reach. Using that definition, their record is indeed spotless.

A bunker with pool, and hot tub. Fully stocked with a lot of fine wine, and Foster's Bitter beer. Fruit trees, and grape vines also. Mine has to be that nice because I am getting older, and I have a wife.

I don't know about you guys - but if everything ever when to hell in a handbasket - I'd be more inclined to a beachhouse in Costa Rica - Pacific Coast up north. I will have a flagpole with the Stars & Stripes on my front porch - and one of those big white wicker chairs with me in it in a nice baggy white shirt & pants and a Panama hat sippin' a Pepsi.

Mojo's comment could equally be about the Europeans or Muslims, unfortunately. It all depends on what period of time you're talking about (euros did all that stuff but the india massacres first...in that regard they followed the muslims).
PS. If things collapse I'll take a nice place in a more stable Central American country like Costa Rica and build a huge bunker complex beneath it. It'll have a bunch of pop up guns like the Sweeds had in WWII, but they'll all be automated so I can remote control them without offering breaching access to the bunker.

Hondo: Already have that place in Costa Rica. No guns though. Don't need them. Unbelieveable fishing. San Jose is a great place if you bring money with you. Stay on the beach or in a bar. The west side has all types of biting creepy things. Fer-de-lance, bush masters, etc. And everyone speaks English, and Italian, and German, and Spanish. So many Germans immigrants from 40/50 years ago in makes one wonder.

Islam's history isn't spotless. But no religion in the world is spotless. Christians during the crusades massacred tens of thousands of Muslims and Jews. The Spanish Inquisition killed thousands of non-Christians. So before you go about saying how horrible Islam's history, take a look at your religion's history first. Then talk. Woodstock 2009!

Yes but Christians don't claim it's spotless. And also those practices cannot stand the teachings of Jesus. So we improved. However the same cannot be said about Islam. It is still the same and does not contradict his teachings. And to hang on Christians responsiblilty for actions under the old covenant is unfair. We only study the old testament as historical. That covenant has passed away.
