The Jill Carroll Story Part II

medblockcsmjill.jpg

Jill Carroll Via Christian Science Monitor: That first day, they were spooked by how close the soldiers had come to finding me. Abu Rasha said they had to move to the house of Abu Ali, his “brother.” I thought he meant his real brother. Later, I realized this was just a reference to a fellow mujahideen.

Abu Rasha removed my glasses and put two black scarves over my head and face so I wouldn’t be able to see where they were taking me. Hanging onto his arm, I stumbled blindly out of the house and into a car, trying to suck fresh air through the suffocating layers of black polyester.

After a short drive we switched cars, and I cowered, motionless in the strange, new back seat. Soon I realized that there were children next to me, and men in the front seat.

A cassette blared a recitation of the Koran and every few minutes the nervous men would mutter “Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar,” as we drove through the darkness.

Then one of them said in Arabic, “What are you? What are you?”

A tiny voice next to me replied, “I’m a Mujahid,” a holy warrior.

It was a boy - I’d learn that his name was Ismael, and he was 6 years old. Just a child, already indoctrinated.

1 I don't think the guy below is just being a stubborn ass like his Senator. I imagine being taken hostage might just change your mind about a few things. Because of a political position she once held you are ignoring what she is saying now or calling it a lie. So are you saying you disagree with the statement that the Islamic terrorists who took Jill do not indoctrinate 6 year old boys or just that you don't like her? People grow up. Young people hold a lot of ideals that reaL life slowly chips away at. She may by the end of the series go all liberal on us but so far the picture of the terrorists she is painting is not a very flattering one. I'm not against (traditional)liberal ideals only the silly pipe dream that the Islamist care at all about them and can be delt with. They don't play that way.

That's what bugs me so much the left has abandoned a fairly good history for what I don't know. I often disagreed with traditional liberals but I could respec them. These new Neo-liberalists suck.

2 This anti-American twit should shut the hell up,put on a berkah, and under go a standard egyptian operation. Isn that what she stands for?

Journalism (blogging too) is, and always will be, a fight between the forces of truth and those who propagate lies. It is the never-ending "good" fight we all join as we take up the pen(or keyboard). We either choose the path of disengagement from the battle, thereby committing the sin of nonparticipation. Some choose to live a life of hate and lies as these "journalist" do. Or we can select the hard but noble path of speaking truth, countering lies and not backing down.

3 OT, but I can only access this site at night, and usually only a couple nights a week after that. Is there a problem with my internet? Or is it a crappy server?

Courage and defiance have their own price to be paid.

Robert Stetham and Leon Klinghoffer have shown us the weakness of our enemies. They looked these cowards in the eye and proved to their captors that the American spirit cannot be subdued. We are not the French. Nor are We ashamed of the way we became great. If you are an American, and for some stupid reason you carry shame for the way, we as a nation evolved, there is no hope for you unless you spend some quality time living somewhere else. I highly recommend it for all Americans. Mexico is so close. Go there and see what the third world really is. If you like it better, stay there.
