The FredHeads

You may be hearing here and there about the 'FredHeads.' It looks like you're going to be hearing a lot more about them in the coming days and weeks. Mary Matalin has started to take notice:

Tim Russert : "Mary Matalin, has Fred Thompson waited too long?"

Mary Matalin : "No, he's not waited too long, and this organization is just building around him. Last night at that event, just in passing, a young person came up to him and said, well, 'We have captains in every county in the state for you. We have volunteers all over the state.' Everywhere we go there are 'FredHeads.'"
(Video clip of Mary here.)

My source in the FredHeads tells me that the FredHeads now have a presence in a majority of states.

In some states, they have operatives in every county, and some are now organizing at the precinct level.

If all this is true, I've never seen anything like this.

UPDATE : the offical FredHeads site is here and here.

3 You're sources are correct, I've been at this since early January. We had our first meeting in March for the St Louis area.

4 freadhead.org is still available.  Someone less lazy than me should snap it up and get to work!  I'll vote for him, but have little desire to do anything positive for the Republican party at the moment.  They're pro-lawbreaking immigrant stance is off-putting.

ps.  It's time to switch to the 'new comments thingy', guys.  What's the hold up?  It's a huge pain for us RSSers to comment as it now stands.  And I love to comment.  I've got so much to say!  And one out of a hundred are even interesting to read!

5 My only fear is his association with Hollywood types. I mean if you live and work with cannibals will you become one?

6 how do you sign up to be one lol?

7 Where do I get my FredHead t-shirt? And If I can't have a FredHead, I want a "Right-Red-Fred" shirt.

8 I hope there is a secret society of some sort... lol, but on a more serious note, someone please let me know how to join...

9 After registering at draftfredthompson.com, I got emails to join up with the campaign.  It's a pretty good site, but I can't wait till FDT starts his own.

11 Proud to be a FredHead, because ol' Fred's "swingin' Johnson" is bigger than Ahmadingleberry.

12 K bear: It's called association. Like attending many universities that arbor lefturd professors that preach their ideals and reward good little students that agree with them.

13 I would note(and you should too) that Fred has continued as a resident of VA since he left the Senate. No Hollywierd for the Thompsons.
I am active at www.draftfredthompson.com which is entirely grassroots by design. A couple of our members got too close to "official" people too early and withdrew from the forums to prevent any tainting of our status. We are grassroots founded(lucky hunch), funded(poorly), and staffed(chaos).

14 TBinSTL: Will Fred be as good a president as he is a candidate? Checking his background pretty much comes up with zero for accomplishments. Not being negative, so don't misunderstand me. Giuliani is tried and tested. I know he can stand up to pressure and lead when the going gets tough. And it's going to get tough. What kind of leader is Fred? What has he ever done? Has he ever done anything under fire? I need something before changing from Giuliani. Perhaps, Giuliani and Thompson would be the better ticket. If he works out, then he can have his turn and everyone can be happy. Except the dorky left.

15 I'll still waiting for the lefturds to bring Fred's foxy 40 years old wife into the conversation.

Posted by: greyrooster at June 05, 2007 03:38 PM (1h1Tb)

16 Yeah, it's too late for that.  They done did it!

Go FredHeads!!!
