That Train Has Left The Station

Mahmoud Ahmagonnameetallah drives up the cost of oil again:

TEHRAN, Iran -
Iran's hard-line president warned Friday that continued Israeli strikes against Palestinians could lead to an Islamic "explosion" targeting
Israel and its Western supporters.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told thousands of demonstrators gathered in the capital, Tehran, to condemn the strikes in the
Gaza Strip that Israel's supporters could be the target of revenge by Muslims.

"They should not let things reach a point where an explosion occurs in the Islamic world," he said. "If an explosion occurs, then it won't be limited to geographical boundaries. It will also burn all those who created (Israel) over the past 60 years," he said.

Ahmadinejad once again questioned Israel's right to exist.

So.....an Islamic explosion? What does that mean? Are they going to start flying hijacked airplanes into buildings? Blow up trains and subways? A nightclub in Bali, perhaps?

I think Islam's done already exploded.

3 Ahamdenijad doesn't know anything about the history of his own region, especially the creation of Israel. Ironically, it was Soviet and Czech support that helped the Jews win Independence. Western countries offered NO support at all, but Israel still managed to defeat all the Arab armies arrayed against them. Russia was also Saddam's main backer and the country that slaughtered a million Muslims in neighboring Afghanistan. Strange, then, that Russia is Iran's most important ally now (without the slightest hint of an apology) and America remains the Great Satan. Ignorance and Hypocrisy rule Iran -- twin sons of different mothers.

4 Many Iran experts out there have said that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad doesn't really have the power or the authority to unilaterally launch any kind of attack on anyone, and that it's the Ayatollah who calls the shots (and who, apparently, doesn't want a confrontation with the west). On the other hand, this kind of rhetoric may encourage others to act, so there might be an "indirect" cause for concern.

5 Frankly, I doubt that there are any experts on the meltdown happening in Iran right now. A bunch of nutters is how I would describe them.
