Taliban: Teaching a Girl? Die Violently.

Blackfive highlights a grusome Indepent article describing the fate of those who teach girls under Taliban rule:

The gunmen came at night to drag Mohammed Halim away from his home, in front of his crying children and his wife begging for mercy.
The 46-year-old schoolteacher tried to reassure his family that he would return safely. But his life was over, he was part-disembowelled and then torn apart with his arms and legs tied to motorbikes, the remains put on display as a warning to others against defying Taliban orders to stop educating girls.

The "realist" reaction? Lets just tolerate this, because eliminating it is too offensive and difficult to stomach for the New York Times editorial board.

5 Frank, I think RepJ was drawing attention to the discrepency in behavior of the women's rights groups towards the treatment of women in Islam. I can remember them going off on how bad it was for women many Muslim countries when Clinton was in. Now that we have a Republican in and we're fighting radical Islam they are strangely silent on the issue.
