17 Am I ever bored. Sitting here looking at the Arch across the street. I can see about 15 square holes at the top of the arch. Must be windows. You wouldn't get me up there. Tug boats pushing barges up the Mississippi. Hard to believe they had to start at New Orleans just 35 minutes from my farm. Watching traffic on the bridge to Illinois. Traffic 24 hrs a day. I averaged the semi-trucks crossing bridge. An average of 36 trucks per minute at 9:00 AM. They never stop. Just think about how much money St Louis would make if they ripped off the truck drivers like New York City does. Twenty bucks a pop on the bridges and tunnels into New York. I'm rambling. I'm bored. I should be helping my neighbors in Mississippi. Hate to leave the family but I think I'll go back. Went to TGIF yesterday. Two beers $11.50, Tax .88 cents, total $12.38. That's $6.19 per beer. Makes that back home $1.75 beer seem mighty inviting as two beers doesn't even get me started. My neighbor says we will have power back in a few days. Anyone want some free oak firewood? Come a cut all you want. I have about fifty large live oaks on the ground. From the millions of pine trees snapped in half, lumber prices should go down. Ha! Think I'll go back for more $6.19 beer.
