Some Britons are more "Equal" than Others...

I recently posted the "suggestions" of Britain's Muslim groups as to how the British might avoid "trouble" in the future. As you might expect, the foreign policy suggestions were only one side of the coin. LGF has the details on the Muslims' renewed domestic demands:

Communities Secretary Ruth Kelly had prepared an uncompromising message on the need to tackle dangerous radicalism.

But, in what she admitted were ‘sharp’ exchanges, some senior Muslim figures turned the tables yesterday and made a series of demands which also included the introduction of Sharia law for family matters.

Dr Syed Aziz Pasha, secretary general of the Union of Muslim Organisations of the UK and Ireland, said: ‘We told her if you give us religious rights, we will be in a better position to convince young people that they are being treated equally along with other citizens.’

So, the British are expected to act as if they've never seen a cop flick before? "Hey, I'm with ya. I hear what you're saying. I'm on your side, here. It's my partner, there. He's the one that's...the kid's just crazy. The guys just a bad cop. No telling what he might do... How about you cough up the Sharia and a couple new holidays and we'll calm him down a bit?"

In the movies, the "good cop, bad cop" / "protection" racket works pretty well against young street punks and store owners. Will it work on an entire country? This is a grand experiment on the part of the British Muslims--poking, prodding, studying... learning one day at a time just how hard they can push the British public with this approach. So far, it's been working for them. The authorities don't hold a press conference about parking violations without falling all over themselves praising the "critical contributions" of their "valued partners" in the Muslim leadership. Only time will tell if the Brits will continue to roll over for it...

2 The Sharia should be opposed for its imposition of theocracy over democracy, its abuse of human rights, its institutionalized discrimination, its denial of human dignity and individual autonomy, its punishment of alternative lifestyle choices, and for the severity of its punishments.
Muslims who are parasites in the UK and need such a law really need to f**k off back home. It will never happen and its demand from the Muslim community only demonstrates their continued pathetic contribution to society.

3 I guess we shouldn't have beaten the UK so bad back in 1776. Now they have turned into cowering whimperers .... perhaps we shouldn't have " grabbed an alligator and fought another round " and let them run " on down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico "

4 actually, you don't need time to tell you. i will, for free. ready? "Will they continue to roll over for it?"

5 The Brits are living proof that socialism kills.

7 Ill informed yankee bastards, sounding off on that about which you know nothing.

"This is a grand experiment on the part of the British Muslims--poking, prodding, studying... learning one day at a time just how hard they can push the British public with this approach. So far, it's been working for them. "

This is one of the stupidest things I have read on the web, which takes quite some doing. It's just raving conspiracy theory, isn't it? The fact is that society changes in many, many ways. The British government is allowing civil partnerships because of the decline of marriage; they're banning smoking in pubs because people are getting sick of smoking. Things change.

I personally wouldn't want to see the introduction of Islamic family law to cover some disputes. But these are discussions that a free, democratic society has.

Larry: You obviously haven't been to the UK recently. I work by King's Cross. On 7/7 we all stayed at work because we were extremely busy, including the Muslim members of the team. On 8/7 there was a bomb scare up ahead from the bus I was on coming out of Brixton, and we got stuck near Electric Avenue, so a bunch of Rastas produced a sound system from somewhere and everyone danced to dub for half an hour until the buses we were allowed through. London is the greatest city in the world, densely packed with all races, creeds and colours.

Improbulus: The UK is not a socialist state, as the most cursory examination of its governance will tell you. Even it was a socialist state, I would still fail to see your logic. Sccialism kills? What are you talking about?

Leatherneck: You can't spell. Or think, probably.

8 X can't be X soon enough for me! You just stay right there where you are in your team of muslimes and dance to the rasta music. Everything will be fine .....  not! Your description of London sounds like Hell on Earth to me. Give me a pine forest anyday!  ^^^^^

10 The government has to make a clear statement: no Sharia, ever.

Simple and effective.

11 Nice one guys!

Really sharp comments. Yours really has to be the most incisive analysis going on this subject.

Why don't you write to Ruth Kelly and let her know your thoughts.

Your country must be so proud of you.

It's very likely X will soon find out whether he is right or not. Events look to be coming to a head in Britain with one terrorist plot after another being uncovered by the authorities. One of these plots is bound to slip under the radar and be successful very soon, and perhaps X will be dancing the rasta a little fasta.

13 X: Yes it is proud of us. Keep hiding behind your X. You must be ashamed of your country.

Posted by: greyrooster at August 16, 2006 11:15 AM (vCjBd)

14 Jesusland - No, I wasn't dancing actually, I was a bit embarrassed. But I was still pleased to see that everyone pulled together in the face of quite stressful circumstances. You seem to find that a bit difficult: maybe you think it would be better for England if we'd all leapt at each others throats.

Ashamed of my country? Well, I'm not so proud of how we made a mess of Palestine and I'm not so happy about how we made a bit of a mess of Iraq. And to be honest, the whole colonial thing is a little bit shameful.

But the people of England in all their various colours are decent, and I like them.

Posted by: X at August 16, 2006 11:27 AM (fdH4L)

15 X has already rolled over. Obviously a government worker buggered by his muslim bosses. X people are what the muslims are looking for. You prove their case that you haven't the will they do.

"for all their various colors" England is dead. Ireland shall rule. Why? Because it is Irish.

Posted by: greyrooster at August 16, 2006 01:56 PM (vCjBd)

16 X,

I feel sorry for you. You are already a new world order member. Folks like you allow the Muslims around you to plot your destuction with your tax money. Are you saying a great many of your fellow Muslims are not on the sugar tit?

Did you give up your weapons? I bet you did not have any to give up, and you write like a gay dude that used to post here.

17 Hatuna Matada! No worries man! It's all good! We need another bomb scare! We loooove to paaaaaarty! Pass me that rasta stick, mate!    %>

18 Okay, X is a muslim immigrant living in the UK and knocking the country that took him in. A true muslime.
