Socialized Health Care : Coming Soon to a Country Near You?

Soon enough, if Hillary has her way. Here's a tale of two "women" and their experiences under the Canadian socialized medicine system. Keep in mind that this is what Hilary hopes to impose on the U.S.

And what the military, and their dependents, are dealing with already.

2 Comrades,

I just love how the Dems and Leftist talking heads are piling onto the "terrible" treatment the VA and the Military health care has given the veterans.

And yet, it was just a few weeks back that those same @ssclowns were touting the VA Health Care system as the model they would use for all of America.

Now, as a personal note, I am a disabled veteran. I have been in the VA system and from my OWN experience, I have had nothing but outstanding medical care, both from doctors, nurses and staff. Every instance was above and beyond anything I ever experienced in the Public health care system.

Having said that, however, the administrative part is a friggn' nightmare. Multiple copies of forms, endless lines, interminable waits, 6-8 weeks lead time for an appointment, diffivulty getting through to the person you need to see, etc. Basically, it takes 2-6 weeks for anything to get done. Rule of thumb.

However, like I said, the medical treatment is incredible, at least in my own experience. I have had several surgeries, and each and every time the doctors, nurses, technicians, etc, were of the highest sorts.

However, a fellow could become suicidal wading through the paperwork and red tape. Or maybe homicidal... I guess there is a reason every VA hospital has a psych ward attached

   Respects,

Amen brother. I do not use the VA exclusively. I have had several MIRs done by them and the treatment was as good as any civilian facility. Getting the films read did take a rather long time but the result was right on the money according to my expensive BMW driving surgeon.

I have noticed a run down look at several VA and military hospitals. I don't think the wear and tear all came during Bush's watch. But he should get off his ass and upgrade the system ASAP.

4 #2Gwedd Thank you for your service. You are exactly right, the Dems are hippocrits.(sp?but looks good). I think the VA system is overloaded with the fact that newer tecnology have saved many a soldier. That does not excuse the fact though for the reason for red tape. Its like the pork bills in Congress, people doing paper work on jobs that are obsolete but are still doing the jobs hence the needless redtape. I am happy you are receiving excellent care (once you are able to get in). Universal health is not good and the VA needs to come in to the current century (red tape part not docs). Imagine the whole country on the VA system of health care. Instead of 2 to 6 weeks wait you will have 2 months to 2 years wait. Pantsuit is not the candidate for me, neither is any other dem candidate but I feel she is the most dangerous. She is part of the 5th column or shadow party.  Her and hubby's dealings are verrry questionable.
