U.S. Pervert Sentenced to Live in Canada

Here is a new twist in the crime and punishment arena.

(Buffalo, New York) In April 2006, 35-year-old Malcolm Watson, an English teacher at the prestigious all-girl Buffalo Seminary, was arrested and charged with sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. He was caught in a mall parking lot steaming up his car windows with a 15-year-old female student.

In August, Watson was convicted of child sex abuse and sentenced to live in Canada for three years. To my knowledge, the Canadians were never consulted.

Nevertheless, Watson begins his sentence today, eh?

In all candor, the idea of sending convicted American perverts to another country is quite appealing but I wouldn't select Canada. Someplace further away would be my choice ... maybe a nation in southeast Asia or Africa. Although not greatly distant, a reverse-Mariel boatlift to Cuba might also be doable.

2 The reason they picked Canada is that's where he lives. They're just refusing to let him cross back over the Peace Bridge for 3 years.

But really, they should've sent him to somewhere without Tim Horton's & Labatt Ice.

3 Yum...15 years old. How come he was only kissing this hot little cookie? How come he was sitting with her in a well-lit, patrolled parking lot when he could have taken her off to some dark secluded place and really enjoyed everything she had to offer?

Letâ€™s face it, there are millions of men who would give anything for an opportunity like that. I hardly think this guy deserves to be labelled a â€œpervertâ€ and treated like a criminal when he seems to have exercised an amazing amount of restraint -- given the circumstances.

6 I agree with what jeff said. She was probably really hot and was into older guys. Why is it illegal? I think in a lot of countries the age of consent is 14, 15, 16 at the most.. it was 16 in Vermont as far as I remember. I don't see how bagging a 15 year old hottie is a 'perversion', I'd say it sounds like an everyday normal guy with a working body?
