17 While I agree that this is disgusting I disagree that this came about because of alowing homosexuality or pornography. This kind of thing went on before either of those things became mainstream (although pornography has always existed) and people who did them did not need the rest of society to condone them before they did it. This was done in relitive secretness and back then it was done in relitive secretness in this incident. Moreover, incidents like these happened to a portion of a population that was probably not all that much smaller than todays. When you factor in things like the fact that things like this were not recorded very well even when they were known to have happened and the fact that things like sexual deviance DO appear in our histrory I don't think its safe to say that the problem has radically escalated in the way some say it has. There has been an increase in a lack of willingness to put down this kind of behavior that has lead to some increases in this kind of thing but it was still around in the past.
 
Many, many culture besides just the greeks allowed limited homosexual behavour in their societies for hundreds or thousands of years and never allowed bestiality to take root. Some form of Pornography was often present as well. So I don't think that things like this inevitably flow from them. The sexual want for a same sex partner and an animal somewhat different from each other in cause. Homosexuality provides more or less the same sense of satisfaction with an attractive partner and a need for long or short term companionship that heterosexual relations do. Bestiality seems more like a fetish.
