Is It Really Possible That It's Not Our Fault?

Here's some advice for the West:

"Stop asking what you have done wrong. Stop it! They're slaughtering you like sheep and you still look within. You criticize your history, your institutions, your churches. Why can't you realize that it has nothing to do with what you have done but with what they want."
Nonsense! Any number of Ivy League professors can tell you that we're targeted because we're arrogant cultural imperialists. Who does this troglodyte think he is?

He thinks he's Dr. Tawfik Hamid, a former member of the Egyptian terrorist group Al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya, who trained under Ayman al-Zawahiri, the al Qaeda number two. Dr. Hamid has some other tidbits that will make the head of your average liberal explode:

"We're not talking about a fringe cult here. Salafist [fundamentalist] Islam is the dominant version of the religion and is taught in almost every Islamic university in the world. It is puritanical, extreme and does, yes, mean that women can be beaten, apostates killed and Jews called pigs and monkeys."
Read the rest of the article to find out how sexual frustration causes suicide bombings. Really.

Hat tip to Dr. Sanity, via Larwyn.

1 "Slaughtering us like sheep" eh.

There are 650,000 Iraqis who might wonder if we're as innocent as all that... if they were still alive.

2 I thought it was seventy-forty-eleven gazillion by perfesser nostril
von retard? Your figures are too low, and show insufficient loyalty;
you must be re-educated!

You know what I'm doing these days perfesser? I'm buying ammunition, and thinking of you. I hope to meet you someday.

Max, you'll need a weapon. You'd never win an argument with your intellect.

4 Sexual frustration............?  Yeah, that's it.  I always thought those half breed sons of Ishmael had problems, just not that one. I  guess they need to rape more children, etc. etc.

I see the good Professor is doing his Hermann Himmler imitation again this morning.

6 Impy don't you have enough ammo already ?
As for meeting people whom you disagree with politically, if you posted your name it would increase the likelihood of a meeting. Whom are you hiding from, certainly you don't consider us dangerous ?

7 Bluto I guess I passed the "I am not a liberal test! " My head has yet to explode.
Women are beaten all over the globe. There is violence against women pretty much everywhere. Even Catholic countries such as Brazil and those that inherited the Napoleonic legal code had murder exceptions for honor killings.
Apostate killings happen, but in general the murder rates of muslim countries overall are less than christian. Jews are called pigs and monkeys ? Gee Bluto you use worse terms in describing your fellow citizens who chose not to vote in the approved Bluto manner.

Posted by: John Ryan at November 14, 2006 10:07 AM (TcoRJ)

8 How do you know your head didn't explode? It's not like heads are essential to liberals; your comment is proof of that.

Posted by: The Dread Pundit Bluto at November 14, 2006 10:14 AM (vBK4C)

9 Oh Hooray! I feel so much better now that John Ryan has opened my eyes to the fact that shit happens everywhere so there's no point complaining or doing anything beyond the minimum about it and the fact that a number of murders exhibiting trends of gender/religious beliefs/ethnicity/geographical location are no more important than an equal number of random, crime-related deaths and offer no insight into serious sociopolitcal/cultural issues common to large portions of the planet.

Posted by: Graeme at November 14, 2006 10:40 AM (GnoNL)

10 Uh, John Ryan, don't be a putz. Bluto is talking about violence that is taught to not only be right, but to be scriptural sans the Koran. You can't possibly be that stupid.

11 And what Graeme said.

Welcome back, Graeme. And join the fun, there has been a troll invasion on the Jawa.

Posted by: jesusland joe at November 14, 2006 10:48 AM (8PoNP)

12 650,000 Iraquis huh? Under Saddam, yes, I could believe he had those kinds of numbers slaughtered.

My guess? If this number is accurate (which I'm extremely skeptical of), it's because they're factoring in the mass graves they've found. But you'll skew the numbers so it fits your picture of the Coalition being murderers, won't you?

Wake up people! They won't stop until either they or we are all dead.

13 Thanks JJ. I've been noticing that TJR's being graced with both new and old trolls although it seems as if since the elections their douchebagittude has been turned up to eleven.

Posted by: Graeme at November 14, 2006 11:11 AM (GnoNL)

14 Yep, Graeme, but I'm having more fun than a barrel of monkeys. I'm at the deer camp this week, have already bagged an 8-pointer, and have been spending the past two days cutting up meat. And eating. And eating.

It's raining today, so I didn't go out. But we now have internet access at the deer camp thanks to Direct TV or whatever, and I have been surfing the web. Haven't worked for a week, and don't have to get back to the grind until next week, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. In the meantime, "eat, drink, and be merry" is my motto.

Posted by: jesusland joe at November 14, 2006 11:19 AM (8PoNP)

15 Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you. You can never really know which way it's gonna go until the deed is done.

16 What is the solution then? Moles and Trolls are fun but what has been contributed to the discussion? Can we at least agree that killing Muslims isn't going to change the hate schools curriculum? Conversion to the 21st century... You know, convert or we'll kill you seems to be their thing however bombs don't seem to work, publicity doesn't seem to work - they're more skeptical than us about authority so then what? How could we get people to want to be in the 21st century when they live in the 10th? Maybe instead of billions spent on bombs and commercials we could just try for a while to spend some on schools, roads, sewage and water treatment - you know just to mix it up a little and see what sticks... Ever been to Africa? Maybe if they had a taste of the new millenium... ah well... I can sense your politically tainted frustration. Just keep in mind, it's admirable to pull yourself up from your bootstraps but 10 centuries worth may be beyond any lone human's ability so we may need to assist. Anyone else with an idea that doesn't include weapons of mass destruction or air-time on Al Jazerra?

Oh I don't know t. Sometimes we can make a point or two. Are you that closed minded that you can't imagine the day you might learn something from an opposing point of view?

Posted by: No Fear at November 14, 2006 12:22 PM (ZQepB)

18 No F, I know I get lengthy sometimes but did ya bother to read the rest? I think I was asking for an opposing view - just not one that include nuclear weapons or commercials.

Posted by: tbone at November 14, 2006 12:28 PM (HGqHt)

19 tbone, back when the Gulf War I was in the books, and everyone was proclaiming the New World Order, a guy named Gary North, a financial adviser and part-time politico, told me that the celebration was premature, and a festering sore had now turned into a cancer. That cancer was the resurgence of the Wahhabist brand of Islam being taught and spread the world over by the Saudis.

I thought the guy was crazy, but one terror attack after another tweaked my interest. I started to study and seek information on Islam, and what I found concerned me. The Islamists fighting in Afghanistan were not "freedom fighters" in the sense we understand, but were fighters for Islamic domination and the reestablishment of the Caliphate. What the hell was that, I thought? After reading about the Caliphate, I asked myself why would anyone want to have such an archaic institution as that?

Then the internet came along, the attacks of the fundamentalists increased, and yet no one seemed to notice what was going on. Then came 9/11. I was sure that the World would now see what had to be done, but I didn't realize the enonomic power of the Saudis, or the political power they wielded here in the US as well. They are truly the worst enemy, as they are able to operate worldwide, still spreading their doctrine of hate, now rising in what were moderate Muslim nations such as Indonesia and Malaysia.

What can we do, you say? The number one thing we should do is start a Manhatten-type program with the goal of making the US energy independant in 10 years. I know this sounds incredible, but I believe it can be done.

Once this has been done, we will be in a position to better deal with these people. Meanwhile, no Muslims should be allowed to immigrate to the US. I realize this is harsh, but we now have radicals entering the US, setting up terrorist cells, awaiting orders.

There are many other things that should be done, but energy independence is the single most important thing.

20 Eating, drinking, being out in nature with modern conveniences and firearms. JJ, you lucky bastard

Posted by: Graeme at November 14, 2006 12:35 PM (GnoNL)

21 Yeah, I know(blushing). I feel guilty. The only thing that could possibly make this better would be the appearance of Sarah Evans, and I hear she's available. But alas, I'm not. Damn.

Why yes I did t. And ya know someting? When people start talking to one another, and begin listening to each other, sometimes we hear each other, and can come to an understanding. When that happens weapons are put away, people don't die, and progress is made. Isn't that what we all want? What I don't understand is why can't we agree on that one point?  And then give it a try, instead of being dismissive. I've been down that road. It goes nowhere. And it never will.

Posted by: No Fear at November 14, 2006 12:49 PM (ZQepB)

23 JJ, I think you are very correct - We need to pressure our new Dem leaders and Bush on this one. The Royals foment their peoples' hatred of us (with our own money) so that their masses ignore the evil that lurks within their own govs.

BTW, Don't feel guilty JJ, ENJOY! - as I peer over my cube and out the office window...

Posted by: tbone at November 14, 2006 12:56 PM (HGqHt)

24

Perhaps it's my age, and the fact that my children are growing up, but I'm looking out the window, and the leaves are the most beautiful this year I ever remember them. The purples, yellows, oranges, and just about every color in between are truly breathtaking. And the fact that I am 15 miles from the nearest town doensn't hurt my feelings, either. I wish you all could experience this.

28 JJ- Direct TV at deer camp in case it rains? What's next, ass wipe? Come to Wisconsin, where we know how to hunt.

Posted by: Gleep! at November 14, 2006 02:39 PM (UHKaK)

29 Uh, just to clarify, ass wipe is referring to toilet paper here, not Texas hunters!

Posted by: Gleep! at November 14, 2006 02:43 PM (UHKaK)

30 Wisconsin, huh? I thought all you had there was cheese. Interesting. I may go there one day. In the meantime, when it rains and you already have a wall hanger, the TV and internet are a fun distraction while in the midst of cutting up meat.

Posted by: jesusland joe at November 14, 2006 02:53 PM (8PoNP)

31 Sorry Gleep! but the only thing Wisconsin is good for is holding Michigan's wang (da u.p. eh) - I'm just kidding though,WI is a beautiful state. Go Green Bay!

I can't argue with you there (actually, I'm jealous). Hey, maybe we should work on setting up a "Hunter Exchange" program ... love to try some southwestern hunting some day!

The UP's wang HaHa! I guess that truly makes us "the balls!"

Posted by: Gleep! at November 14, 2006 04:18 PM (UHKaK)

33 JJ, be careful quoting Gary North.  He also said the entire world
would be thrown into mass chaos at 12:01am January 1, 2000.  As a
matter of fact, the worst thing I can remember happening was some
people in New England bought  new 2000 cars and the computer
issued them license plates that said "Horseless Carriage" because it
thought the date was 1900.  That North was right on Wahabbist
Islam only proves that even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in a while.

Posted by: Oyster at November 14, 2006 04:44 PM (UeUAE)

34 Oyster, frankly I didn't believe he(North) was right on Islam, either, which is why I decided to study the issue for years before reaching any conclusions of my own.

In my post I said I thought North was crazy. And really, I've had no contact with the guy in years, but he was the man who tweaked my interest in radical Islam. I guess I can thank him for that, although ignorance is bliss, as they say. Perhaps I would have been better off not knowing, because the media sure as hell isn't going to tell us about it.

Posted by: jesusland joe at November 14, 2006 05:17 PM (8PoNP)

35 While "Professor von Nostrand" is beating his chest over a ridiculously exaggerated death ("mea maxima culpa!") toll, people all over the world are salivating at the thought that they could bring down the USA and the Western World with it.

Libs always have their priorities straight.

36 Actually John, you old piece of shit, I don't fear you retards, but if
I publish my name, and you show up at my house, I will kill you, so
consider it a favor to your misbegotten kind.

Posted by: Improbulus Maximus at November 15, 2006 02:15 AM (v3I+x)

37 JJ, sorry, I should have read the whole thing.  I just saw Gary North and thought "WTF"?

Posted by: Oyster at November 15, 2006 10:19 AM (UeUAE)

38 Oyster, I think North's infatuation with the problems of the millenium was a money-making endeavor for him, rather than any real belief that we were going to encounter trouble.
