Quick Thought On Sarkozy Victory

The victory is symbolic and 'a teaching moment' in many ways.

One of the most interesting teaching points is this: socialism/leftism is such a detrimental and demonstrable failure of a governing philosophical dogma that even the FRENCH rejected it decisively.

1 My thought was that the riots and unrest in France obviously pushed people move toward a  "law and order" candidate. Then immediately following  his reaction the leftards, Islamists and commies started
throwing bottles and rocks and destroying things. Why? Because they are idiots. Now the French will know they made the right descision and move even further right. The leftards will react by driving away even more support.

Bad for the French hostages the Taliban is holding though. They will kill them. Never mind they didn't vote in the election, Taliban butchers won't care.

2 It would be nice if at least as a token of reconciliation with the U.S., Sarkozy would free the French forces stationed in Afghanistan from the artificially imposed restrictions on their areas of operation.
Right now, German and French troops are not allowed by their governments to operate outside Northern Afghanistan, while the American, Canadian, Dutch, Danish and others will go after the enemy anywhere in the country.

3 I would make the point though that it is less a defeat for socialism then a defeat for even more socialism. Even the right in most of Euroland are big statist and socialist compared to our right.

4  One of many battles fought over for the soul of a once great nation.
It is a pity she has so few friends left, and so many enemies so close
to her heart.Communists, socialists, islamists are just the tip of the iceberg...what to do when your youth just don't have children?

5 Working people can't afford children because they are over taxed to pay for the stream of bastards that pour forth from those able to work who live on public assistance (politically correct for welfare).

6 Sarkozy will soon tune down his support for social changes. The 5 million muslims and socials in France will wear him out by civil unrest and rioting. Those that work and contribute don't have time to riot for the good cause.
