Iran Hangs Man in Public (Images)
Below are images of you're mullahs at work. I don't really have a problem with the death penalty in the abstract. The man was convicted of multiple counts of rape and murder. But the mad mullahs also have a tendency to do this sort of thing to the victims of rape too.

Hey Collin. If you observe the method of hanging, it would appear that the guy had the rope put around his neck, and then was lifted up. That could make for a very prolonged, and agonizing death. Given a choice, I think most people would prefer the chair. Though nyou are probably more fond of beheadings, pig eater.

First of all, I think many of you missed something VERY IMPORTANT (including you Rusty). Just the fact that the Iranian government prosecuted and punished the rapist/murderer is an important step in the right direction for islamic reform (although the use of capital punishment in public is a bit inhumane).
In other muslim countries (mainly pakistan), if a women is raped, she is usually punished and legal action is not even thought about unless several men witness the act. Granted we don't know what happened to the man's victims but it is certainly a departure from what we have seen in other islamic nations.
The mullahs are at least sending the right message out: rape will lead to punishment. The form and extent of punishment still needs to be reformed though. Along with almost every other aspect of their DICTATORSHIP. I pray everyday that a revolution frees Iran instead of military invasion.

As for the criminal, we may not consider a public hanging civil, but don't forget that relatives of victims and others are allowed to watch criminals die in America. If they move this kind of thing into a more private setup so only the relatives of victims/criminal could see it I think that would be great.
