Pardon Me, Can You Remove This Knife?

Openly Socialist NDP Party stabs covertly Socialist Labor Liberal Party in the back by siding with Conservative Party to block withdrawal of Canadian troops from Afghanistan.

I love it when they eat their own.

Money quote:

Dion also indicated that Canadian soldiers could be more profitably utilized in Afghanistan setting up democratic processes, a judicial system, a functioning economy.

"If we focus on the combat mission and we don't try to do the other things, what is being gained?"

Well, teh stoopid, if you don't kill the Taliban and Al Qaeda first, there won't be democratic processes, a judicial system, or a functioning economy.

Thanks to the scary brown person who lives in Canada for the email.

2 THE OPEN SOCIALISTS stabbed the closet socialists because they want the troops home RIIGHHT NOOW!  Dion, the leader of the closet socialists wouldn't know the Canadian military if it *** him in broad daylight (oops, hockey player talk).

One of my favorite quotes from Canada's finest, in the middle of a firefight with the Taliban, one soldier bellows, "Where do you want your well?"

3 Too bad you guys left us to clean up your mess there as well. No matter. We got it sorted.

4 Vinnie,
A few months back the leader of the separatist Bloc Quebecois tried a similar move; not only was his motion defeated, in fact he ended up losing some political ground within Quebec. It was rather stupid of Dion not to have learnt from BQ's experience.
Some bozo's never learn.

5 That would be the Liberal party. The Labour party is English.

6 I was in Guam after Afghanistan/before Iraq and got snot-slinging drunk with some Canadian military guys returning from 'stan one night. Awesome dudes. Money exchange:

Huckleberry the Bald: "Thanks for standing with the U.S. in this."

Louis Cyr-looking Canadian Military Dude: "Hell, we're just happy you invited us to the party."

Massive laughter and a round on me followed.

Canada is a lot like the US in that its political face to the world is retarded, but the people are kick-ass cool.

Full Disclosure: I'm a U.S. citizen, but I was born in Newfoundland: Dad was a USAF pilot stationed there in 1957.

7 I thought you said you were leaving John. Why are you still here trolling.

9 To Huckbald:
Well yeah, those Canadian soldiers were completely serious.  I mean, if they are ordered to do peacekeeping, they will, and they will enjoy it, in a kind of non-hockey kind of way.  But actually getting to kill bad guys is much more fun.  Last winter, the Taliban were rumored to keep fighting all year.  I imagined Canadians on skidoos with 0.50 caliber machine guns on them--the boys (and girls) would have hated that!

10 Randman,

Considering how thoroughly he was busted lying in another thread here (http://jawacomments.mu.nu/?post=187585) the fact that he is lying again shouldn’t come as any surprise.

Hucbald, Canadians are nothing but Fraynch speaking, effeminate socialists. Every poutine eating one of them.

12 The NDP must be getting some static for being so pro Taliban recently. I think that the Mr. Dion is trying to sweep up the ultra far left from the NDP since they have no hope in hell of winning back Liberal voters who went right after the Libs got caught shoveling taxpayer's cash into their car trunks; at least until they choose a leader who is not far left and does not welcome back the same crooks that were kicked out.

I just hope that some of our vets go into politics after their service is over. I would like to be able to vote for someone with some integrity for a change.

Non, Non, c'est ne pas vrai, mon ami. C'est ne pas le Poutine, il est les femmes, tojours les femmes...
