PAKISTAN: U.S. TROOPS ARREST DEPUTY HEAD OF TALIBAN IN WAZIRISTAN

American troops in Afghanistan arrested on Thursday the deputy head of the Taliban fighters active in the Pakistani tribal area of Waziristan, according to a report on the Arab satellite television channel Al Jazeera. A unit of US special forces penetrated the town of Loramani in Waziristan which border Afghanistan, capturing the Taliban leader Mullah Hakimallah Mansub.
If true, this is a good catch.

So I'm guessing the recent meeting between Dick Cheney and Pervez Musharraf went something like this -
Musharraf: al-Qaeda and the Taliban are not operating in Pakistan.
Cheney: Yes they are.
Musharraf: No, really, take my word for it.
Cheney: Suck my old hairy balls. We're going into Waziristan.
Musharraf: You cannot violate Pakistan's sovereign territory!
Cheney: 'Sovereign' my ass. You've been turning a blind eye to the activity in that region, so now we are going to clean that mess up.
Musharraf: You and what army?
Cheney: The United States Army. And maybe some of NATO's forces too. And if you get in our way, we'll cut you loose and let you deal with India all by yourself.
Musharraf: Well... if you put it that way... OK.

ARRESTED? US Forces "arrested" Taliban leader? I hope they read him his rights...
sheesh...whatever happened to "captured" or "killed"? US forces are now relegated to 'arresting' terrorists.
