Oregon School Requires Islamic Garb on Students

(Nyssa, Oregon) The courts and the ACLU make sure that Christian prayer and the Ten Commandments are removed from public schools and, all the while, we've got Islam being shoved down our kids' throats. How can a person not get heartburn?

From Local6.com:

Officials at a public school in Oregon are defending a seventh-grade social studies unit on Islam that included students dressing in traditional Islamic dress.

Kendlee Garner of Nyssa told the Ontario Argus Observer that she objected to the amount of time dedicated to the unit on Islam -- four weeks -- as well as the wearing of religious garb and the lack of parental notification. She said her son told her about the activity, and when she objected, he got an alternate assignment in the library.

School officials say that students have to understand the rise of Islam and the interaction with Europe. And yesterday, the good old trusty Supreme Court decided not to pursue the issue of Islamic indoctrination by passing on the opportunity to rule on a California case.

1 Already preparing the younger generation for assimilation I see. Hmmm. Looks like the Borg are right on target with their Islamification of America unopposed by even the Supreme Court. The United States of Islamica. Y'all better start wackin' Mooslimes now before it's too late. And don't forget to chop the heads off the occasional Moonbat along the way.

4 Yeah? Well, I don't think the greeks were known for beheadings and blowing up babies. Get a brain!

5 So, Mike, how is this different from you deleting my post about females
in the Army, of which I have first-hand experience, and you, I presume,
have none? You have no moral authority to talk about hypocrisy in
others, but that won't stop you, because you'll just delete this post
too, no doubt. You're just the latest of the Jawa Nazi's who cry about
liberal hypocrisy while you're quick to censure those who don't tow the
PC line. Go ahead and delete this post, and prove me right.

6 Bluto is nothing but a liberal faggot posing as a conservative. Same as Mark Foley. Birds of a feather. Only difference is Foley coughed up and admitted it. Bluto and company deletes and lies about it. Friggin lowlife.

I don't think teaching about Islam is necessarily a bad thing. But I think it would be wishful thinking to assume they are teaching the truth and not some moral equivalence (or moral superiority) bullpiss.

8 Only in the annals of past history would it be appropriate to teach anything about Islame and his lama.

When I was in Freshmen year High School in 1973.  Our entire Social Studies class re-enacted the Communist revolution in China, We spent a week wearing Blue T-Shirts and for that entire week, we were the "Blue Guard."  We had the little "Blue Books" and turned in people for "anti party behavior" We addressed each other as Comrade.

The whole deal seems funny now but it was an eye opener back then. You really get a lesson in mob mentality and how the "masses can be whipped into a frenzy by some well place "organizers".  There were lessons in this class that I can still appreciate today.  It was a good object lesson in how "screwed up" the communist systems was and in some parts of the world, still is.  i.e. North Korea.  My social studies teachers  were well traveled and brilliant individuals.

Incidentally, I attended a Catholic High School in New York.

Thanks

Patrick

12 It's a terrible policy, but per SCOTUS precedent almost certainly not unconstitutional.

15 You should be allowed to practice your religion anywhere. As long as it doesnt cross a line.  They crossed it! As sure as Jesus exists and mohammad is a homosexual. This is a battle for total anhilation of christianity and jewdism they are waging. When has the mohamadfockers freedom of religion been able to impede upon everyone elses freedoms. I agree with no. 1 on the post. Start whackin the bastards. I've got my boom stick and I'm ready to whack me a couple camel jockeys.

16 Religion is great as long as it doesnt cross the line. The jihadists crossed it and need to be dealt with accordingly. I think it is most defnitely an infringement on freedom of religion. Making the kids dress in islamic garb is humiliating for the parents, and the children.

17 This is how it begins, gentlemen. First, they dress our children as ragheads under the pretense of "education." Next thing you know, we're all speaking Farsi and Urdu and living under Caliphates.

Onward Christian soldiers!

18 If we didn't have any muslims here we wouldn't have the problem.
