Al Manar Live Feed From Atlanta GA

UPDATE: Down! We get shiite done!! If the link below comes back online, let us know. The FBI--thanks to your complaints--is also now on the case!
--------------------

Hezballah’s TV station al-Manar is using a US server in Atlanta, GA today to broadcast its live internet feed. The hosting provider is Global Net Access. Remember Hezballah is designated as a terrorist organization by the United States and it is against the law to provide them services to distribute their propaganda here. I have the hosting information below as well as the complaint and abuse email addys and phone numbers.

The link to the al-Manar feed is here, mms://207.210.95.42/live.

Jawa readers do your stuff and let’s take let’s take em down!

Gnax contacts page.

Related Jawa Report pestering of al-Manar here and here and here and here. Here too.

Persistant little cusses, aren't we?

James sends us this link to al-Manar's programming guide. They may use this page and others like it to allow access as they get booted from place to place

Hat Tip: Michael Hampton.

UPDATE by Rusty
: Just as a reminder, it's not just Hezbollah that is considered a terrorist organization. Al Manor is on the Terrorist Exclusion list too.

UPDATE II: Several people have already notified the FBI about this. But any case against those that broke the law could take some time. In the interim, be sure to keep pressure on the hosting company. The hosting company may not have known what it's servers were being used for, but they no longer have that excuse.

UPDATE III: Another reminder. People go to jail for doing business with al Manor.

Update IV by Howie: I can no longer access the link. It appears this link is dead now. We get sheeyat done!

Update V by Rusty:

Keep checking the link. If it comes back up, let us know. Pat yourselves on the collective back.

But taking terrorists off the internet is a lot like a game of whack-a-mole. At the very least, though, we can make sure American corporations are not enabling terrorists. We'll leave that for the French!

1 Heh...

I clicked the link and I think their servers are getting swamped right about now.

Gee...I sure hope it isn't a DOS attack...

2 It was a bit slow but I got in. Probably busy. It was all the celebration stuff.

3 Has anyone contacted the Georgia FBI to get them to raid the offices of this place?

I'll check the other links and report back.

4 No matter what they're saying, it sounds like someone trying to hack something up.

Sing along with Ahknod Miller must be a real ratings getter.

Gotta go pester now.

Col. Angus, out.

5 Atlanta FBI now has the information.

Posted by: mrclark at September 22, 2006 12:08 PM (Kfxvn)

6 I doubt the provider knows what they are hosting.

Posted by: Howie at September 22, 2006 12:09 PM (YdcZ0)

7 True.

I pointed that out to the agent.  Anyone can purchase server space
with a valid credit card and be up and running within a couple of
hours, if that.  I'm sure the Atlanta FBI will handle the
situation with professionalism.  I also put in a plug for the jawa.

10 Good show Howie!  If the host is not at fault we may have an American who bought the server space.  That person has broken the law.

11 Thank you master.

13 Just called them on my cellphone. The rep denies that they own the server or host the site -- says that their customer is the responsible party and the company is doing nothing wrong -- and refused to discuss it further.

14 Still if they are providing the access to the backbone and they are now aware of what they are providing access to.  They have to stop.

Posted by: Howie at September 22, 2006 01:38 PM (YdcZ0)

15 It is a local call for me. If it is still up I can pester them all day at no extra cost!

16 Next time an Atlanta area company is serving up terrorist propaganda maybe I can go see the company face to face.

Posted by: SeeMonk at September 22, 2006 02:30 PM (7teJ9)

17 I contacted an Atlanta TV News station. One of the big 3 and pointed this out and linked to this site.

Special thanks to you Mike and to the jawa readers.  As a collective we are formidable.

21 Next on the agenda, exactly who set up the feed?

Posted by: Kevin at September 22, 2006 03:55 PM (++0ve)

22 Exactly.  Who paid for this?  My money is on stolen credit cards, but maybe some Shiite Islamotard out of Michigan doesn't know any better.

Posted by: Rusty at September 22, 2006 04:01 PM (JQjhA)

23 There is "martyr" talk all over that shia board.

The FBI should really be getting a look at those logs and following up with all the ISPs that correspond to postings there and pay the tards a little visit.

Shout out to everyone who participated in getting some action. Shout out to the FBI! Good job one and all.

24 I'd say the provider did a pretty good job.  A little birdie told me they has been aware of it for about a week.  The provider had the site down in less than 3 hours from this post.  Pretty quick.  Good job I think.

25 You know this address 55 Marietta St. is either very close to or inside the offices of the Atlanta Journal & Constitution a Cox Newspaper.
It's hard to tell I'll check AJC.com to check their address in downtown Atlanta. CNN Center and Centennial Olympic Park is just two blocks away.
