BTW, Big Foot prefers to be called Skookum, over Sasquatch. Sasquatch sounds too ethnic, and makes it harder for them to find work in the corporate world.

Get this. Haliburton gets a contract (without bidding) from FEMA to clear public and private property of trees. Haliburton subcontracts the work to Bechtel. Bechtel subcontracts the work to the wealthiest man in Pearl River County, Ms. This man receives $17.00 per cubic yard for the removal. This man subcontracts the work to local small individuals for $4.00 per yard. Since the small operators are paid by the cubic yd they haul off as much as they can. Doesn't matter if the trees were felled by Katrina or time to get some free land clearing.
How about this. Fema pays hauling companies with nothing more than pickup trucks $3.75 per mile to haul small Fema trailers from Indiana to Mississippi. Yet a large Semi truck pulling a 52 ft trailer all over America does it for less than $2.00 per mile. I can show you thousands and thousands of these trailers stored in cow pastures. Been there for over a year and never delivered to anyone. 40 miles away in Waveland Ms people with children are still living in tents. I wonder how much Fema pays these trailer manufacturers per trailer. I'll bet its twice the market value.
The government says its going to prosecute the scammers. How does it prosecute itself?
These example are just a drop in the bucket. Some scams are actually funny. Down here its called free money.
