Muslim YouTube Club Targets Anti-Terrorist Videos and Users

Muslims have set up a group called Oul-Al-Albab/Oul-Al-Absar at YouTube that targets videos and users critical of Islamist violence. YouTube's poorly thought out flagging procedures encourage dishonest users to lie about content in order to suppress videos with which they disagree. YouTube has refused to change the system, despite numerous complaints from users that certain groups, particularly those sympathetic to Islamic terrorism, are abusing it (screen captures). The group members share information about YouTube users who create anti-Islamist terrorist videos and instruct members to flag the videos and users as "inappropriate," often getting the videos and/or users banned.

Here, a user instructs a fellow Muslim about how to game the YouTube system to censor anti-terrorist videos:

jafour3 (1 week ago)
You can give them only 1 star and click on "Flag unappropriate" and choose "Hate Speech".. You can find it under each video you watch.
"jafour3" lists his home as Palestine. While the group includes 251 members from all over the world, most seem to live in Canada and the United States.

Thanks to YouTube user InfidelAndProud for tipping me to this group. InfidelAndProud credits fellow YouTuber infidel4life with discovering the group.

2 Yes I agree with you, this group is spoiling Youtube very much, because they do downgrade videos not in a metter of tollerance. I guess Youtube will prohibit this group very soon.

Thank you for sharing this story with me !

3 We should go to You Tube and flag everything. That will wake them up.

4 I don't suppose it's possible to backtrack and locate the people who flagged the anti-violence videos as inappropriate. If they are flagging them, then they support violence caused by Islamists. If they can be located, then they should be investigated and their behavior scrutinized.

5 TC has a point.

If you find something offensive, isn't that a subjective reaction? If so, then if YouTube itself is the offending entity, aren't you within your rights, as someone who is subjectively offended, to flag whatever is in front of you accordingly?

Suppose if a few thousand AntiJihadists were to show how offended they were over a three day period? It's an idea.

6 Muslims are allowed to ban anything they don't like again, while we are made to watch their trite. Ridiculous state of affairs for u-tube to allow this to happen. Policy needs changing to take it out of the "religious" context. Groups only offended through their religion should be made to swallow it.

7 I could see flagging it if it mocked prayer or worship. Since violence is neither, but that which harms us all, YouTube is playing into their hands.

8 Where do these people find the time to sift through YouTube videos and flag them? Seriously. I can barely find time to sleep as it is, much less flag videos all day. Is this a "student" group? Some unemployed cretins with no responsibility for anyone or anything other than themselves - if that?

9 Hell yeah, I got blacklisted woohoo! Laviciousness fever is on the rise.

10 I should probably add that nothing's happened to me yet, and they scarlet lettered me over a week ago already. But if I get banned, then all I'll do is get a new account.

11 do the same 2 them

12 "do the same 2 them"

What he said ...

Don't we have enough mass as anti-jihadists, to force a change of policy at YouTube, by exercising our perogative to be offended? Can't we (following the rules) stage some kind of event, and get all the AntiJihadists to tag anything an everything they can find as offensive?

If people can stage a march, where they have to drive hundreds or thousands of miles to be heard, can't we arrange to do a virtual march on YouTube jihadists?

It's to easy to sit and watch vids and flag them. Pop some popcorn, make some hot cocoa, put on your favorite music, and go to town. I've avoided it because I dislike censorship, but I've done a 180' regarding jihadist propaganda. Even CAIR offends me now.

I'll sign up for any such effort. Does anyone want to try and organize the event, and if so, how can I help?

It can be our vitual air campaign vs YouTube terror. Any takers?

13 It's okay, because all we have to do is find all the information we can
about the owners of YT, and when TSHTF, round them up along with the
rest of the enemies and traitors. I'll bring the rope.
