Her lawyer, Nabih Ayad, is an activist for the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committe (ADC). This is the same guy who sued Condi Rice and Donald Rumsfeld for failure to keep Americans in Lebanon safe during last summer's war. He's also the guy who claimed his Yemeni client "didn't know" who had placed a knife in a book he brought on to an airplane. The list goes on and on.
I'm guessing that the case will be thrown out. No, make that hoping. Detroit News:
Ginnnah Muhammad, 42, of Detroit, says in the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Detroit that Judge Paul Paruk's request to remove her veil _ and his decision to dismiss her case when she didn't _ was unconstitutional based on her First Amendment right to practice her religion.Because, in the end, it's the woman's fault for showing her nostril that causes men to rape them. The claim against Paruk also cites a federal civil rights law in alleging that Muhammad was denied access to the courts because of her religion....
"The way I believe in Islam is that a woman is very virtuous," she said. "We should be covered when we come out. This protects me as well as other people. I believe that God wants me that way."

I'm actually glad they filed this suit, because it will establish some good precedent that allows states to force removal of the veil in courthouses, police stations, DMV, etc.
