Mullah Dadullah Dead, Updated Images/Video

deaddadullah3.jpg(Kandahar, Afghanistan) The one-legged operations commander of the Taliban, Mullah Dadullah, is reported dead. He was killed last night in a U.S.-led coalition operation supported by NATO and Afghan Security Forces in the Girishk District of the Helmand Province.

NATO has confirmed the death and a reporter familiar with Dadullah has seen and recognized his body.

The bearded face was pale and splattered with blood, and he appeared to have suffered a head wound.

Placed on a stretcher, the corpse was partially covered with a purple cloth. The left leg was missing.

The Afghan governor of Kandahar Province, Assadullah Khalid, also confirmed the killing.
"He was killed last night and right now I have his body before me."
Dadullah was a member of the Taliban leadership council and prominent military commander who specialized in suicide bombing, kidnappings of foreigners and beheadings. He also was known for his boastful videos and his ability to access the media.

Dadullah's death is considered a serious blow to the Taliban. A Pakistani newspaper editor said, "I think this is the biggest loss for the Taliban in the last six years. I don't think they can find someone as daring and as important as Dadullah."

Update by Howie: Live Leak Video of Deadullah's corpse here(warning graphic). Images below the fold.

1 With the bullet in the head-sounds like the work of task force 145. All I can say is these thugs are being hunted down one by one. Omar,Bin Laden,Zawahiri  will eventually meet the same fate.  Enjoy the fact that every day you need to look over your shoulder as your hunted down. To the Special forces team that eliminated Dadullah-Thank you and keep up the great work!

2 I am going to show my Mom this report. What a great Mother's day she will have now knowing this filth is a corpse.

On a sadder note I am sure the libs will not find a reason to be happy over this because we should have killed him before we were even there. Like 1977 or 1066 LOL

3 1066: The Battle of Hastings/Wm. The Conquerer. Nice ref. Hardly anyone would probably get that these days... sadly.

I would have written the headline thusly:

"Mullah Medulla Dadullah Oblongata, Infamous Taliban Brain Stem, Sent To Hell."

4 Outstanding.
Is it fair to cap a one-legged man as he's hopping away? It is if he's been consumed by evil.
Good work.

7 This is equivilant to them killing our commander in the Afghan theatre.  Not a much about this on the morning shows today.  Somehow I think if it were one of our generals  the roar would be deafening. MSM sucks....When we get a big win no we don't talk it up like we shoud. The MSM defers to "were doomed" stories

8  All I can ask is, how many other misanthropic medieval morons need to assume room temperature before people (not just the media) realize
we are starting to wear down our enemies..not just his materiel capabilities but his command staff? This death is akin in many ways to Stonewall Jacksons death in the civil war; a huge, respected bigger than life mujahadeen is now GONE..and they've got nothing left of the same caliber to throw at us.This is an excellent Mothers day present.

10 It was tough trying to keep "one leg up" on this guy because he kept switching it.
But our guys got him and he's one leg down.

11 I heard Mullah Daddullah was first shot in his "good" leg, therefore slowing him down, and making it easier to place the head shot. The ACLU threatened to take up the Mullah's case but a Seal Team member said  he didn't have a leg to fu*kin stand on!

12 Bad guy dies, that's good.  Now let's all go back to sleep while the rest of the bad guys do their magic right here, inside the US.  The two wars over there are only useful in providing psych-ops within the US.  Add the way-too-smart for me dupes like pres contender Edwards, et al. into this recipe, tossed about via the media types, and you have gas over $4.35 per gallon in San Francisco.  Who's winning, I keep forgetting?  Right, with this dead guy over there I should feel great as our economy booms ahead full speed while few if any citizens realize the bottomless pit our debt is drilling toward.  We are winning this war against this mass movement of 13th century, car bombing, no standing armies, no air force, 40 year old rifles, rpgs fired from adobe walls, media beheading pros...   The foxes are in the chicken coop.  Thanks George, Harry, Teddy, and all the rest of our valiant and oh so smart leaders...who we elected!  I've been a fool long enough.  Time for new leaders, real leaders.  Where are they, you know the reluctant leaders?

14 Great News!!!

What a nice touch to have him draped in pink.  Nothing says Happy Mother's Day like a dead terrorist.

15 Well he's draped in pink.  At least he's helping to stop breast cancer.
