Hezbollah Rockets Hit Nazareth

Funny thing is there are no valuable military targets there. Two Israeli Arab children were murdered in this terrorist attack. There were three deaths overall and many injuries.

Haaretz: A Hezbollah rocket attack on the northern town of Nazareth killed two Israeli Arab children on Wednesday afternoon, bringing to 16 the death toll from rocket strikes since the crisis in Lebanon began a week ago.

Another 12 people sustained light wounds in the attack, and were evacuated to the Italian Hospital in the town.

The two siblings were killed by a direct hit from a rocket, the Israel Defense Forces said. It was the first attack on the town.

Mohammed Assawi, who saw the attack, told Channel 10 television that the rocket that killed the two children struck in the middle of a downtown street.

"It's a vacation and it's afternoon so where will they go if not to play in the streets?" he said. "It is unpleasant to say what we saw."

The Jawa Report has asked Jesus of Nazareth for comment. He was unavailable at this time but his office released this statement.
Biblegateway.org: But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me.
So keep it up Hezbollah. You so much as touch another brick in Nazareth or other Christian sites in the holy land and we promise you will have more than the Israelis to worry about. Try a billion Christians add to that Israeli Arab Muslims who live in and respect the hometown of Jesus. Also a prophet under Islam.

More on modern Nazareth here.

Nazareth has a population of 60,000. The majority of Nazarenes are Israeli Arabs, about 35-40% of which are Christians and the rest are Muslims.
Also see Israelicool for more updates. To me this is equivilant to bombing Medina or Mecca. Intollerable.

1 Shelling Jesus' hometown, and killing two Arab children in the process?

Those idiots sure know how to "win friends & influence people," don't they?

I hope these particular facts get a ton of play.

2 The restraint Christians have shown over the centuries after the crusades is impressive. Personally, I am getting tired of groups like Hezbollah trying to tea bag me everytime I try to get some rest. I don't see the Pope calling for Holy War any time soon. But then do we need to wait for the Popes signal to start fighting back? If Israel asked for volunteers from across the globe to assist in their war against Hezbollah, how many folks do you think would show up at the recruiting center?

3 If those children were Muslim, they will go stright to Allah. If they were not Muslim, then Hizbuttola did what every good Muslim should do.

Allah Akbar!

5 Your readers need to know the correct birthplace of Jesus was Bethlehem (Matthew 2), not Nazareth.

6 Hey, Christians;

Less turn the other cheek, more cleansing the temple. Snap to.

7 Opps I goofed hometown not birthplace. I knew that. Thanks.

8 Hezbollah pretends that it can aim these things, but they are notoriously inaccurate.

It should be noted that the Arabs of Nazareth and other Israeli towns have received much less civil defense spending--ie, fewer if any bomb shelters. Big article about it the other day in the Wpost. I'd rather be an Israeli Arab than an Arab in any other country in the region (unless I was guaranteed to be a Saudi oil sheik--now that is good living!) but they do face systemic discrimination.

9 Yes I saw that and I also saw that report showing even firing one violates Geneva convention article 3 because they are so inaccurate. Israel passed muster on that by the way.

Hezbollah are war criminals.

10 Here is a nice simple analogy for the folks still struggling over whether the Israli's are the bad guy or those pesky Hezbowler fellas.

Lebenon is a Young Government kind of like a 6 or 7 year old kid. They just found out that Aunt Deb and Uncle Kos have not been giving them special attention and love, that the other kids don't get. Then aunt Deb gets caught Filching from the neighbor, to maintain her crack habit and to buy some smokes. (For the real thick headed folks, The Neighbor is Israel.) Israel comes after them with a vengence, with intentions to remove the people bringing down the property values in that part of the neighborhood. But instead of accepting reality, and changing their ways, Uncle Kos, and crackhead Aunt Deb, keep keepin on. Israel says BS! Calls out the dogs, and begins to run Aunt Deb out of his backyard. Because living next to Deb Hizballer is akin to living next to a damn trailer park. Between the Theives and the Pedophiles, you never get a moments peace.

Hezballer gets scared, and looks for a place to go, but Uncle Kos won't Let Aunt Deb back in without the Rock and the smokes. So Aunt Deb starts busting some caps, and raising all kinds of hell like she is crazy. Since Israel knows it will take the cops (see U.N. charter), forever to get there, he sees no other recourse than to shoot back. The neighborhood response is muted considering Jews are shooting at Arabs. But then nobody really wants to claim the kid, because then they might have to be responsible for her. Too messy with Aunt Deb in the mix. She may really be nuts, and shoot at anyone who goes against her. Uncle Kos can't be depended on to prevent her from a sudden knee jerk reaction. Something that could perhaps be bad for everyone.

Then there is Israel, Backed up by their Uncle Sam. Aunt Deb should be scared. Uncle Sam is Federal. Says there is a Texan running things, and he isn't afraid to pull the trigger.

Sorry, I got caught up in the story.

11 Death to hezbollah. Death to terrorists, period. No negotiations whatsoever. No cease fire...TOTAL war...the Americans have Minute Man missiles, complete with warheads in the many-megaton range sitting on top of the missiles, sitting collecting dust in silos in their Mid-Western States. Why did they build them if they aren't going to ever use them? It would cost them nothing in defense spending...the missiles aleady exist and are ready to be fired to hit any target anywhere in the world, with an efective range to easily smash hezbollah, and any other terrorist, easily and with minmal cost to their taxpayers. Total war would effectively end this "crises". What about the innocent civilians in the terrorist-ridden countries? They took their chances living there in the first place. If you live in a country with terrorists, then you better be prepared to die with them. Those so-called innocent civilians can die with the terrorists, or they should have left when the had the chance to leave.
