African-American African Taliban Controls Mogadishu In Full

From Agence Cheeseeatingsurrendermonkey Presse:

MOGADISHU (AFP) - Islamists now in full control of the Somali capital vowed to "destroy" all resistance to their religious rule as the city's last secular warlord fled after surrendering in fierce battles.

Islamic militia scoured southern Mogadishu for weapons still outside their hands following the defeat late Monday of warlord Abdi Hassan Awale Qeydiid in bloody clashes that left at least 100 dead since the weekend.

Yanno, back in, '96 was it? When the Afghan-American Afghanistan Taliban took control, I believe my reaction was on the lines of, "so, who cares?"

I'm a little more worldly now.

This isn't good news.

I can't help but wonder...what, exactly, is standing in the way of Islam conquering the whole of Africa?

2 I swear, there was someone who actually used the phrase "African American Africans" in a speech or something. I should try and look it up. I think it was a congresscritter or someone prominent like that.

Nothing but several million Christians who stand to be raped, murdered, and enslaved. Look at Darfur and you will see the misery about to be unleashed upon a large part of Africa. I predicted this would happen. Not that I wanted it to, but it is so obvious that the jihadists would take this route, both to gain fodder for their upcoming wars and because they have done the same thing before.

6 What is standing in the way of Islam in Africa. Not us. The liberals would never stand for us to stand up for another nations freedom again.

7 What happen to my 15 billon tax bucks Bush sent to Africa? I bet knowone knows. I thought it went to gain support for the American way, and aids pills.

8 leatherneck,

that money was pooped down the shytehole, like all the money we've ever sent to Africa.

9 But if we save them there will be more for us to give pills to. Can't win in this situation. Let the muslims have them. They can pay the bill. And if they don't maybe they will stop having kids they can't feed.

10 How is it the continent credited as the birthplace of mankind, remains the last continent to embrace the concept of humanity? It still baffles me how even in this day the simple concept of education is so overlooked as a cure for their ills. I'm not talking about getting everyone masters degrees in physics. But maybe even a 10th or 11th grade education for say 80% of the population of that black hole.

11 The dangers posed by another failed state, ran by Islamic radicals is too great to ignore.

Lets hope Ethiopia attempts to topple the new regime.

I would be for sending more aid to Africa, if it ever reached the people in need, it always ends up in the hands of some despot -- and then the U.N wants to send in some American "meatshields" for their peacekeeping operations to keep their aid safe.

12 Now wait a minute. I've been thinking about this quite a bit. I'm trying to hatch an Idea for a post one of these days. One of the strategys of the Islamists is to stir unrest and leave a opening for them to take power. Then afterward they gain support from the people by providing services and peace. So they have made promises here. We can deny them that. It's the easier job, now we can play toss a wrench into their plans and undermaine their support easily. Of course you have to be willing to play a bit dirty. They get a power line up we take it down. They provide this or that then blow the shit out of it. Soon the patience of the people wear thin. In Iraq we should have surrounded Baghdad until we forced a surrender. Put Saddam in the position of make us leave or surrender. See what I mean? We've forgotten many lessons of past wars favor of "new" or "high tech" or "on the cheap" solutions. There is a reason you declare war and go big and force a surrender. It works.

So the Emeny never does surrender you ask? Well then you still have a state of war and can hold prisoner and walk around saying make me. The enemy looks more and more inept because they can't. Then way we've done it we've set ourselves up badly. Plus the rules would be better. On this side of the line it lives other side it dies. See simplicity works.

I'm afraid the moneyed interests in Washington hurt us this way. Doing it right takes committments the Congress I fear is incapable of making these days.
