Yusuf Islam Comes to the US

Yusuf Islam, aka Cat Stevens, has been granted permission to enter the US. Brilliant!

When he gets here, will somebody in the media grow a spine and ask him about allegations levelled by a radical cleric that he once was associated with the jailed Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman?

1 What?! No...he wrote "Morning Has Broken", there's no way that an artist could do such things...artists are infallible! He was probably just making an artist statement of some sort...people like him write beautiful songs, they would never be anti-American...scoff scoff rabble rabble.

I'll grant the comments sound heavy handed, but he is implicated by the admission (recorded) of a known muslim extremeist. If that line of inquiry establishes that he is a knowing financial contributor to terrorists, he deserves an appropriate sentence.

Maybe someone died because of funds provided by the artist formerly known as Cat?

As for violence, the incompetent usually forget it's an option until it's all that's left. By that point most of the damage that violence, if used earlier, would have prevented, has already been done.

That is why competent people weigh the use of violence intelligently, and use it at the best time, not long after it would have really helped.

Nothing says incompetent like not killing Osama, BEFORE 9-11. Nothing will say incompetent like letting Iran have nukes, BEFORE we do anything to stop it from happening.

So we agree "Violence is the last resort of the incompetent." Lets be competent then, shall we?
