Off subject: We are enjoying giving treats to the kids who drop by. Not many way out here. Mostly just friends bringing their kids because we try an do something special for them. BUT. I wish these preachers would quit conning the kids into collecting for UNICEF. Let them have their day. Collect at church.

I think I found the site that created it and others (small print on the corner of the poster).

I, for one, am not comforted by that.

Evil Otto -
I think the artist meant that it's comforting TO HIM to believe that nothing YOU do in life will be as awesome as his picture.

Shame on those wily preachers for attempting to instill a sense of altruism in those poor innocent kids. Where's the outrage!? ...... coming soon enough .... /sarcasm/enabled

greyrooster: I agree. kids should be able to trick or treat without some guilt trip being laid on them by UNICEF.

Larry: There's 364 other days in the year. Let them be kids on this special day for THEM. Perhaps the preachers should go around with little boxes collecting money. Isn't that what they get paid to do? Transferring the responsibilities of your job to children is something a democrat would do.

I think that picture is call "Star Wars Rocks." I don't know who made it originally, but I've seen it around before. This version cuts off Princess Leia, who is singing at a microphone to the left of Han Solo in the original picture.
They say that great art can ennoble the soul, you know.

Something wrong with turning the devil's big day into something good? Don't you think it is work for the preacher's to sell the ideas to the kids? Isn't it American to teach kids to sell? How do you know the preacher's aren't working hard at it for their pay?

Yea sure: All the little kids out there consider it the devil's day. That's why they dress up like mickey mouse and Elvis.
