Air America listener just told me I was mentioned on The Majority Report with Janeane Garofalo.....
I guess I can now retire. I've finally made it.

It's a dubious honor considering it's probably the only radio program in the country that can mention a blog without causing a spike.

Were they mentioning you in a positive light or as hate speech?

Looks like next you'll get a nice write-up in The Nation or the Daily Worker. Who's side are you on? ;-)

You should feel lucky that your traffic didn't drop precipitously, Rusty
Actually, that probably isn't that funny considering what is happening with WLIB in NYC

They should be called Scare America.

I was not able to pick up the broadcast. I think their
antennas are phased to transmit toward the left.
Also I think Garafalo should stick to the movies. I'm sure it
pays more, even for a mediocre actress.

IM, didn't you see the guy with the transistor radio who stepped out of the black helicopter that landed on the grassy knoll?

I saw nothing. I didn't see a Black Helicopterâ„¢, and I especially didn't see the guy with the radio. I wasn't even on the grassy knoll, where I didn't see them. The Joooos did it.

It really is weird how little these kinds of mentions drive up traffic. I was on CNN a few weeks back and literally saw no spike whatsoever in traffic. I was also mentioned on the Guardian website, so I expected an avalanche of traffic. Nope. Like 20 referrals total from that.

No, Air America didn't mention that you get all of the best beheading videos or anything like that. Specifically, they used you as an example of a conservative blogger calling for Rove's ousting...
By the way, Air America actually gets listened to by
far more people on a given afternoon than have ever visited this nasty little blog. But of course you would be right to suggest that the volume of listeners & readers has no necessary relationship with accuracy or truth.

A small unit, but still, a unit.

Peter, we have been engaged in a concept neither Air America nor you understand: humor. And, let's face it. Air Deadbeat has ultra low ratings, and crummy stations. How come I can recieve Rush on 3 stations just north of Baltimore, yet no Air Deadbeat? How about being able to get all the Conservative radio shows down at the Jersey shore, but not WLIB? Even you lefties would rather seethe at Rush, Sean, Laura, etc, then listen to Air Deadbeat.

YBP count yourself lucky. It's like nothing but "sexual performance enhancing" ads. Just take Rushes ego cross it with DSM and bush lies multilpy by twelve & shift the decimal point 25 places to the left. Last night he went on and on about how the fall of iran to the shaw in the 50's was US doing. But he never mentioned that Truman was a Democrat.

FYI-Peter is a friend of mine, so please don't attack him personally. He can't help it if the indoctrination at grad school 'took' on him. For some reason my body rejected it in its entirety.
So The Jawa Report has now been mentioned in Mother Jones magazine, on Air America, CNN, MSNBC, and scores of local papers...... but I won't feel 'complete' until I'm excoriated in The Nation. Do you hear me Van Der Hooven?? Excoriate me you luscious lipped liberal!!!!!!

Rusty--He seems to have no problems making personal attacks on people (IM) and using names like "moron." Fair is fair.

If you want the spike in traffic, you will need to cross them in their minds. Be like Hitchens, the one time prince of the left whose 'betrayal' earned him pariah status.
It’s worth a shot anyway.

Yes, Rusty, fair is fair. If the perfesser of GLBT pre-colombian/post industrialist aromatherapy studies 101 can't take it, he shouldn't have stepped into the ring. He's just another lame old pinko liberal fossil who doesn't know the world has turned since he danced naked at whatever bongo drum festival he last attended. Besides, he called the Jawa Report a "nasty little blog", so I vote you give me his address and..., no, that wouldn't be sporting. Of course I could make it sporting, you know, give him a head start, but make him run in a clown suit.

Peter Von Nostril: Give it up man. You've been saying the same boring bullshit for six months. Whats the matter? No one on you pitiful little blog. If you can't make it on your own blog you sure as hell can't make it here. Go away or come with something new.
