Michael Scheuer : Israel "not worth an American life or an American dollar"
From ex-CIA agent Michael Scheuer's recent appearance on Bill Maher's show:

Bill Maher : "But Israel is a democracy in a part of the world that has none."Video at LGF.Scheuer : "What? So what? It doesn't matter to Americans if anyone ever votes again."
Maher : "It doesn't?"
Sheuer : "We'll get by just fine, sir."
Maher : "I wouldn't. I wouldn't get by just fine."
Bill Maher's wrong about a lot of things, but he's spot-on here, and I'm willing to give him props for it.
Now, Scheuer's opinion isn't particularly disturbing. We already knew where he was coming from. What's disturbing is the wildly enthusiastic response Sheuer's statements elicit from Maher's audience
