This whole thing with the media is a central element to my statements regarding American civil war.  We are fighting on two fronts, and have been for years now.  It's been mostly a 'cold' war, but it looks to be at the brink of becoming a 'hot' war any year now.

I don't look forward to the next couple of years with very much hope because if we turn inward, and start fighting ernestly among our own population, we will weaken ourselves against Islamism for the duration.  Given world public opinion, who do you think will recieve the most 'outside assistance' to acheive victory?

Which side will get the low price on oil? We need to think about these things, if we want to protect our values. We need to learn some 'geopolitical judo' and turn these enemies strengths against themselves. I thought that Bush had that part figured out, but he has seriously dropped the ball.

There is no question of who has the mightiest armed forces on earth, but if they are split, and spent in a civil war of our own, we CAN lose the greater conflict. So when I suggest we use a little caution, it's not because I'm at appeaser at heart.

Even in WW2 the allies used some caution. Spain was aiding the Axis in 'neutral' ways, just like we were aiding England before US entered the war. But we didn't try to invade Spain. Some things that are morally justified, still make bad strategy, and may cost us valueable ground.

We need to hang on, and regain the percieved high ground in the propaganda war. Our words matter, because they can be quoted out of context. They matter because if chosen well, they can change minds to our side. They matter because perception literally IS the battlefield, and human minds are the resource for which we fight.

We who comment here, are critical to victory! If your next words could grant life, or take it away, what would you say? It IS that important.
