Interesting MSM Passage of the Day

The eeeevil Rovian Email Plot to Function as the Political Advisor to the President:

On its face, the plan is not improper, inappropriate or even unusual: The president has the right to fire U.S. attorneys at any time, and presidents have done so when they took office.
Its Libby Redux.

Faux-outrage. Trying to find impropriety and crimes where there are none. Open admission that these things aren't illegal or unusual, and that those before have done the same things for the same reasons. Mountains made of molehills. Important news ignored. Nobody cares.

The American people aren't being fooled, you know.

1 Even Zogby can't spin it enough to hide truth. USA, all the way!

2 What? Republicans all think alike and refuse to accept reality? How is that news?

3 Not to nitpick, but your link has nothing to do with "refusing to accept reality." It says that Sunday talk shows feature conservatives more than liberals.

But that's typical. Completely ignore the post at hand, stick your fingers in your ears, and keep on chanting lalalalalala...

4 Um, let me spell this out.

1. 97% of Republicans believe the media's biased.
2. Studies which look at data and not opinion show otherwise.
3. That you couldn't get that from my comment kind of proves you're not the brightest light on the Christmas tree.

5 Nitpicker Well it looked to me by following the links, that nearly eveyone thinks the media is biased. It seems that even the typically messed up Zogby shows that about 2 out of three polled think the media is leaning left, and about 1 in four thinks it leans right. So it seems to me your spouting a bunch of crap. About 11 out of 12 think there is bias, regardless of the direction. How about that?

6 Also I'd like to see some links to your so called 'studies' because I don't think you can provide them. You are the one saying we are wrong, so prove it. USA, all the way!

7 Studies which look at data and not opinion show otherwise.

Oh sure it does! "Studies" by your fellow Leftards. I do a study everytime I read the NYTimes and AP or Reuters, and survey says more than just bias, it says AGENDA.

8 Maybe Gonzales should resign. This would give Bush the opportunity to select a replacement whose first act would be to 'clean the slate' and fire all who were not Bush-appointed, as is his right.

Wouldn't that make the Dems go berzerk.

9 Anywho who doesn't believe the media is just plain stupid.

10 The American people are biased too, the seem to keep choosing the media that they want.
The ratings for the single conservative news program, Fox News, have been in a steady decline, almost a mirror image of Bush's aproval ratings.
MSM is profit driven and there just isn't a good bottom line in the Conservative news market. If there was room there to turn a profit the market would fill it
As for not being able to "spin" the results of the poll well let's see:
out of every 100 people 83% said there was bias in the news.
Out of those 83, 64% of those 83 people or 54 said that it was biased towards the left. So 54 people out of 100 sample thought it was biased towards the left.
85% of American homes have CAble TV but Fox News still ranks a distant 4-5 in viewers.

I'll try again. Your link only says that the Sunday talk shows feature Republicans at a higher rate than their representation in the legislature. That's it.

That study has no analysis of the type of questions asked, whether Democrats were asked but declined interviews, and failed to address the shows during the rest of the week.

Here, I'll dumb it down further: Show me a study which actually shows the media isn't biased, and then maybe you can argue that the public is stupid for believing the media is biased.

12 JOHN RYAN, I know I was being loose with the numbers but even if you want to only say that 16-17 out of 20 think the media is biased, instead of 11 out of 12, its still pretty close. What I was saying, is that even Zogby can't make the perception of non-bias or right-bias, fit thier preconcieved notions of how it should be. They can't spin it enough. Note to all, always follow the link, and check your facts on any thread. Add your own research. Anyway ...
