WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush's father accused the news media of "personal animosity" toward his son and said he found the criticism so unrelenting he sometimes talked back to his television set.It's not just George W. Bush who is a target, of course; the mainstream media has pretty much cast aside the mask of objectivity in reporting from the Middle East and Israel as well, and the Washington Post ran a virtual campaign to get Jim Webb elected in Virginia. The New York Times, among its multiple acts of treason exposing classified government programs, ran a diagram showing terrorist insurgents exactly where to shoot American troops for the best chance to make a kill."It's one thing to have an adversarial ... relationship -- hard-hitting journalism -- it's another when the journalists' rhetoric goes beyond skepticism and goes over the line into overt, unrelenting hostility and personal animosity," former President George Bush said.
The time for treating the mainstream media "journalists" with diplomacy has passed. Non-DNC candidates should be challenging the Press at every opportunity.

I was listening to comments on NPR this morning regarding the Lewis Libby/Valerie Plame case, and it goes without saying Dick Cheney and Carl Rove were prominent in their "analysis". Not once, however, did they mention that the bitch Plame was outed by Richard Armitage. Not once. Not even in passing, leaving the impression that's it's all about Rove and Cheney.

Funny; I never heard GHWBush complain about the liberal slant of media. Maybe he enabled media (until today).

Well, Layer Seven, I guess George H. W. realizes now that expecting objectivity from the MSM would have been like expecting Adolf Hitler to give the Jews a fair shake in Mein Kampf.

Bluto the American people already look at many Republican leaders as being arrogant. Some of the few positive reactions to the SOTU speech were that Bush did seem more humbled.
Bluto the American people do not like George W Bush. They do not like his war in Iraq. Even Republicans do not like him. Why should the press ?

The press has never liked him, from day one. Not that it's their job to like/dislike in the first place. That's a partisan hack's job.

Yet conservatives-- who generally hardly ever take to the streets-- showed up in DC by the tens of thousands for the annual March for Life rally. News coverage? Non-existent. You'd think that it would be news when people who hardly take to the streets finally do. But it's not news unless the Democrats (MSM) say it is.
The MSM doesn't outright lie as much as they omit, which is the same thing as lying.

LaPierre rightly called the ATF and FBI "jackbooted thugs" for
terrorizing American citizens. If you don't have the balls to stand up
and do what's right, then you have to take what you get handed to you.
The Bush's have betrayed us no less than the Clintons, and both
families need to be put on trial for treason.
