Got to be read to actualy believe it. Its got everything, and the article is even written by discredited E&P reporter Greg Mitchell. Former CNN Baghdad bureau chief Eason Jordan has re-risen from obscurity.Jordan sparked cotroversy when he revealed in 2003 that CNN had been censoring and witholding reports and information on Saddam Hussein's fairly constant stream human rights atrocities in order to maintain the CNN bureau in Baghdad.

He then sparked off his own premature retirement after accusing US troops of deliberately targeting journalists in Iraq at the World Economic Forum in 2005.

Now, he's back. And not only is he back, he's slated to run a CNN-backed all-Iraq news site.

OK. The guy who lied about Hussein's atrocieies is now going to somehow be responsible for the dissemination of any kind of news from Iraq?

“Iraq is the story of our time,” he declares. His goal for the site is for it to become nothing less than “the world's premier Iraq-focused information source” -- and with no “political slant.”

The name of his new venture, he says, was inspired by a Donald Rumsfeld reference to this war being a “long, hard slog.”

He exited CNN in the wake of the uproar over his off-the-record comments (which he insisted were misinterpreted) at a Davos meeting concerning U.S. military involvement in the accidental deaths of several journalists in Iraq. He had co-founded the Iraq News Safety Group to help protect media workers there.
