Attacks on Iraq Shiite pilgrims continueIt's not really that the Sunni AQ terrorists hate Iraqi Shi'a so much. They do, of course, but these attacks aren't about that. They're about maintaining the AQ position in the Western press.BAGHDAD, Iraq - Attacks on Shiite pilgrims showed no sign of easing Wednesday with at least 11 people killed by bombs and gunfire as they streamed toward a Muslim shrine ahead of a weekend holiday.
The mainstream media and the jihadis have hammered out a tacit agreement; if the jihadis supply fresh blood in a suitably grisly and/or spectacular fashion, the MSM will continue to emphasize the stories, and pretent not to know that they're being perpetrated for the purpose of generating press. The MSM will also make sure that stories that reflect well on the US and her military will be ignored or relegated to the back pages.
Now, even sportscasters will refuse to show player fights at games. They don't seem to think that the public's right to know includes encouraging the players to mix it up for air time. Wouldn't it be nice if the newscasters had something approaching this level of morality?

Fox News decribed the National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq as "Grim"

Are you suggesting that MSM should ignore the all of terror attacks taking place in Iraq ? They should ignore the smaller attacks i.e. the ones that "only" kill 10 ?
Americans need to know how bad the situation is in Iraq, just as they needed to know about the conditions at Walter Reed. The MSM is needed to perform this function.

Has anyone heard anything else about the prison break in Mosul? Reuters was the only one carrying the story. If its true, then there are some serious problems in Mosul. Not to mention the fact that the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq (yeah, that one) personally led an attacking force of over 300 insurgents, overwhelming Iraqi police and freeing over 100 prisoners.

I figure this "John Ryan" guy for an agent of the IRI (mullahcracy ruling Iran). I call him Qolam-Ali Tazi!
He has all the characteristics.
He's just active these days because his bosses in Tehran are feeling the pinch and he by consequence.

You're right, those things certainly all are bad. War is bad and peace can be even worse. But try to look at things in a bigger picture. Think of where you would like this country to be in say 50 years from now and work your way backward. If you wind up back where you are now, then that's where you are and it's what your opinion is. That's fine. But think for yourself. Then no one can say your part of some anti whatever deal, if you're just an asswipe, then you are your own asswipe and that's a 100 times better than being a mouthpiece stooge that doesn't consider, reflect and just keeps the blinders on.
I hope these words somehow make a difference in the way you take in information and how you come to a conclusion, most importantly to form your own.
I for one, and maybe the only one, would like to hear an original thought.
