The general public forms many of its perceptions of world events through the news media - especially television. By general public, I mean those who don't read online news, blogs, or spend a lot of time with other media like radio (many in the media do read blogs and Internet news, however.)
The Imus story has totally drowned out the mainstream TV media coverage of the Duke deboggle. Why is one story still going on and on, and why does another one seem to fade away quickly into the background? They're not even naming the lying accuser for fear of "victimizing" her (they had no problem pounding the three boys' names and faces into your brain, didn't they?)
At the risk of sounding glib, I'm going to be blunt.
Putting aside discussions about "newsworthiness," I think there is something more simple and subtle here. In the collective mind of the elite media establishment, one story makes blacks look bad, and one makes whites look bad (in the metanarrative sense.) . Given media history, partisan leanings, and self-styled reasons de existence, which one do you think they're going to concentrate more firepower on instead of giving them equal weight?
By the way, Google News is currently showing 3,856 news hits for "Don Imus," while
"Duke Lacrosse" is currently returning 2,798. Also notice the results - 4,053 for Duke Lacrosse and 10,000 for Imus.

Little Johnny went to school one day and the teacher wanted everyone to name something with each letter of the abc's.
Johnny raised his hand for 'A' and the teacher thought, "He'll say ass or asshole" so she called on Mary.
" A, apple" she piped.
Next letter B. Johny's hand shot up. " He'll say bitch" the teacher considered so she called on Raymond.
" B, ball" he quipped.
This continued with each letter conjuring up a profanity in her mind until until she got to the letter 'R'. She had called on everyone except Johnny and he was the only one with his hand up. " I can't think of any thing bad that starts with R, okay Johnny.".
"R, rat!" said Johnny. Relived, the teacher replied" That's very good Johnny!" Johnny went on, " A rat with a dick 15 inches long!"
Imus needed to lose his job as he was a fucking asshole anyway. He put himself above common decency and rightfuly paid the price for it. The Duke proscutor put himself above the law, and now needs to go to fucking jail for it. Along with the N word & nappy headed ho tattooed on his lily white soon to be gaping ass. Maybe he'll meet Rat.

Feeding us only what they KNOW we are most willing to hear.
look get serious if there was money to be made in different views from the MSM then someone or some company would be there. Blaming the media is lame.

Mary said "pass them Goddamn mash potatoes" where upon dad back handed her right across the mouth knocking little Mary right out of her chair.
Then dad turned to johnny and asked what he wanted to eat, and Johnny said "I don't know but I don't want any of them Goddamn mashed potatoes."
MISSING THE POINT.....
Its pc, political correctness, hate the alleged rapists, hate the old white guy.
It wasn't PC to question the alleged black rape victim, or the rappers.
Teh media has given the blacks a PASS. ok to use the N, B, W, words for blacks as if its an acceptable part of their culture.
g
CBS, MSNBC GUTLESS, HOES.

supplemental mineral injections should help, especially a mixture of
lead and copper, injected directly into the cranium. I would say into
the brain, but the presence of said organ is doubtful.
