'Mass Murder on an Unimaginable Scale'

Paul Stephenson, the deputy commissioner of the Metropolitan police, said he was confident that a plan "intended to be mass murder on an unimaginable scale" had been thwarted.Severe travel disruptions are being experienced. British Airways, Air France, KLM, Alitalia, Iberia, and El Al have canceled all flights to Britain until further notice.Unconfirmed reports suggested between three and 10 flights could have been targeted.
Police said 21 people had been arrested in London, the Thames Valley and Birmingham. Sources said those arrested were British-born and were held as part of an operation, involving the security services, that has been ongoing covertly for several months. [Note: SkyNews interviewee said the terrorists were of Pakistani origin.]
At 2am, the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre raised the UK terror alert from severe to critical - its highest level - for the first time. The Home Office website defines that as meaning an attack is expected "imminently."
Unnamed U.S. intelligence official says there is a serious al-Qaeda connection with the plot. U.S. Homeland Security to hold press conference at 0800 EDT.

These are so-called "homegrown" British Muslims.What does that mean? It means that these are people, and i use the term loosely, that were allowed to leave the third-world hellhole they were born in for a better life in the West. There's a saying in the US, "You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy" Here, the phrase has good connotations, it means that rural people who move to the cities still maintain the good manners and behavior expected where they grew up. In this case, it's something quite different.It is yet more proof that muslims are incapable of civilized behavior. We allow them to enter out nations, and this in how they repay our generosity. I think back to Spain in 1614, and realize that this needs to be repeated in every nation that wishes to survive today.

We all knew they were trying and will continue to try to kill us. There are 60 million UK citizens, the muslims number around 1.5 million. So for the safety of the huge majority isnt it time for internment and repatriation and the abolishment of the moon god cult. As long as we allow them to live here or worship the moon god we are gonna have to face the threat of terrorism, so who benefits from them being allowed to stay? As far as I can see only the muslims benefit, one of the UK muslims main gripes is that they are discriminated against and they have a big unemployment problem, my solution to that is F#ck off back to wherever you came from and get a job there, after all as you cant get a job and you dislike seeing page3 of the Sun and you want sharia law then what is the point in staying here. Rather than do the right thing and moving to a country where there is sharia and they wont be discriminated against when looking for work they decide to terrorize us into becoming more of a dhmmi nation than we already are. I think its time to outlaw Islam, its such an alien ideology, we have buddhists, hindus, hare krishnas, all sorts of mislead people but the only group that wants to kill us are the moon god firm.
I just dont know what its gonna take to make the nation demand they are interned or repatriated, we are at war with them but 90 percent of the British nation are leftie vegetarians and dont have the belly for the strong moves that now should be taken. I am sickened by whats going on.

For many this is just a reminder that we are in a full scale war. I understand the temptation to want to live in Mayberry, but people have to remain on war footing until this is over. Period.

When are the leaders of the West going to wake up and realize that the threat is WITHIN their own countries. They keep on with their appeasement policies and "tolerance" vis a vis the fundamentalists. Look at the Wahhabis spending their monies on Mosques, look at the Shiites... I am going to wait before I try to form my opinion on whether Iran has anything to do with this. Everything I read seems to indicate AQ and Iran are not paired up. This seems odd since their goals appear to parallel. However, if the stuff I have read is correct, there are some fundamental differences keeping or at least have kept AQ and Iran form joing forces.

What is happening here is the expression of hate. That may sound obvious, but I think most people don't fully understand the concept of hate, because most civilized people don't truly have the capacity to hate. Everyone understands dislike, or disagree, but we have outlawed hate in the West, and so as a society we don't comprehend our enemies, their motivations, or desires.
Hatred is the boundless loathing of one's enemies; so complete that it gives one pleasure to envision the horrible death of the enemy, and causes one to dwell on nothing but their suffering and destruction. Muslims hate us like that. They have no other motivations than the destruction of our civilization and our enslavement or death. Why? Because the only way they can feel good about themselves is in the absence of anyone who is better off to compare themselves to. If they were fully loaded planes that woudl have been perhaps 2,000 people. . .I think AMericans can comprehend mass murder ona scale larger than that> Perhaps its good that the British get a chance to just imagine it without experiencing it.
